Crimson Overlord-Chapter 275: Nix’s grin

It was an old man who looked like he’s in his 50s. He had a long beard.

He was wearing a white robe with lightning insignia on it. It was apparent he was very high leveled considering he came here while riding a lightning bolt.

Yet, shocking as his arrival might be, the aura he was emanating is faint. He looked like a regular old man in a white robe.

Swish!!

A sonic boom crashed near them. The one who created this phenomenon was an unassuming elder with a grey robe.

This old man could also hover in the air.

Then, another elder came from a far in a black blur. He stood near the elder in a white robe.

This elder wore a black robe.

In a short span of time, three origin masters appeared in the deep region of the Giant Beast Forest.

That was not the end of this.

Swish!

Another person arrived in a storm.

She had long hair and she looked like she was in her 30s, younger than the men near her. The wrinkles near the corners of her eyes suggested that she was older than she looks.

She was an elegant and beautiful woman.

She was also floating in the air.

The four powerful origin master stood in the sky in a square formation. They reined in their auras so they appeared like normal humans except they are hovering in the sky.

Nix smiled radiantly when she saw the four origin masters, she hadn’t expected to meet people here, those intruders could make this interesting but she was more interested in something else.

Not the four flying humans.

Instead, Nix looked at the stone formations in front of her. The four flying origin masters also looked in that direction.

In the air, the white robe, the grey robe, the black robe, and the elegant middle-aged lady were surprised to see each other there.

"I didn’t think you guys would make an appearance..."

The elder in the white robe is the first one to express his surprise.

He looked at the old man in black robes and his shock deepened.

"I somewhat expected the others. Milan, I didn’t think you would come as well. You didn’t leave your crystal shop for a good decade or so if I remember correctly..."

The black-robed guy snorted, he started grumbling.

"What? Got something to say about me coming here, Markel?"

The others didn’t say anything, they simply turned their attention on Nix and the thing in her hand.

Milan asked without proper etiquette or tone.

’’Who are you Miss?"

That was what everyone present wanted to know.

’’I’m Lilith!" Nix introduced herself with a codename and the others nodded not daring to ask where she was from because they could feel she was no weaker if not stronger than them.

"That dark origin you have there is it the same dark origin that can turn someone into a monster?!"

Lina, Jarl, and Markel gave Nix the same curious looks.

"Turn someone into a monster?"

Nix looked at the dark origin in her hand. She shook her head with a giggle.

"I don’t know about a human subject. However, I did get these from a bunch of disgusting monsters."

"Then, it’s true!"

Milan laughed out loud. The others were pleased with her answer.

"Miss Lilith!"

Jarl stepped up first. He gave her a simple bow.

"We are looking for these things too. You found it first but may I trouble you to give us some of that?"

"Yes!"

Markel nodded vigorously.

"Miss Lilith came here for the same aim, right? Those things are very important to use, I can’t stress its importance enough."

"We can trade for those things in your hand..."

Lina reined in her excitement better than the other origin masters.

"I am sure Miss Lilith will fancy the items we have brought..."

The four level 4 origin masters stared at Nix after making their offers. Nix looked at the dark origin in her hands while listening and she looked at the beautiful woman named Cecilia.

"You’re here for these too?"

Cecilia flinched. She didn’t think Nix would shift the topic over to her. She nodded with an earnest look.

"Yes, I need it. I can also buy it from you..."

Nix smiled radiantly.

Orpheus and others who are familiar with Nix’s antics would sweat cold bullets if they saw this grin.

She was sly and mischievous in nature. Anyone who knows her could attest to this on top of being ruthless

Whenever she was beaming sweetly like this, it’s usually because she’s thinking about devilish plans.

The sweeter her grin, the more nefarious her intention.

’’Okay, show me what you’ve.’’ She said while subtly looking into a certain direction.

Far away, in the deep region of the Giant Beast Forest, in a ravine with a complex design.

The ravine was only wide enough for a human or a similarly sized demon beast to traverse. The cliffs were at least dozens of meters tall and had vines growing all over them. This place has been devoid of life for a long time now.

There is a gentle stream flowing into the deepest recess of the ravine. The stream fed into a lake. There was also a waterfall feeding into the lake.

This ravine has complex geography. If someone planted fruits here then this place can become a home to a settlement of a relatively small size given its isolation and water source.

The Giant Beast Forest was not a suitable place to build human settlements. There are people who set up special bases to extract resources but settling here is another matter altogether.

This deep ravine was very isolated and this made it a very good place to set up a camp. There are no fruits or edible plants here so it’s not good to stay here in the long term. But, this place had potential.

Alas, this ravine was already claimed.

On a stone outcrop outside the waterfall, a person was sitting here with crossed legs.
