Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse-Chapter 28 - 28 - Attracted To Male Species?!
The next day Fan Xui walked out of his room with a really dark circle around his eyes. Last night he was not plagued by nightmares, rather he was filled with thoughts of a certain model.
Sighing, he combed through his messy hair. 'I can't be attracted to men, right?' his heart was still in denial and it did not let him accept the fact.
"Fan-ah~" a sickly sweet voice whispered next to him.
Stunned, Fan Xui glanced his way. "Don't startle me like that,"
'I knew it he was still blind or else he would not have let me so close,' Liwei thought, smiling widely. "Fan-ah, I'm sorry I moved silently. I have made some nourishing bone soup. Lets drink it while it's hot~"
Fan Xui clenched his jaw.. 'I have to solve this issue or else I might not be able to concentrate on anything else.' he peered at him. Qian had mentioned once that even Liwei was considered a beauty.
When he first met him, he had already lost his sight so he never actually took a good look at him. f𝔯𝒆𝚎𝚠𝑒𝚋𝓃૦νℯƖ.co𝘮
Fan Xui wore his black shades and intently peered at him.
Liwei had a small upturned eyes, more fox like. His nose was straight and his lips were arched up in a naturally. His eyes were sparkling and looked as innocent as a newborn dove. 𝗳r𝗲𝙚w𝐞𝚋𝘯𝚘ѵ𝗲l.𝑐om
'but...this kid is not innocent at all.' his eyes went sharp for a second. Because he knew that Liwei was using a fake sweet voice on him. He tries his best to make his voice seem melodious, but there was a subtle rasp from the back of his throat.
And there was also the fact that Liwei always carried a subtle scent of smoke, even if he tried to hide it with cologne or by taking a bath. The scent lingered always.
Glancing at the pale young man, he did not see any kind of beauty.
His heart did not pound like it did before.
'See I am not attracted to men at all.....' he nodded to himself.
"Come on, shall I lead you to the dining room~," Liwei held his hand, but Fan Xui flicked his hands away.
"I have operating legs. I can walk on my own," he coldly said.
After getting to the dining room, he sat opposite him looking at the muddy bone soup. It was probably not prepared properly by cleaning the gunk that collected above.
Just the smell alone made him queasy. "It's smells not good,"
Liwei flinched. "It...its I tried my best to replicate the recipe I saw...."
"I don't think my stomach can handle this." he stood up and cleaned his hands. "And Liwei, go home."
"Brother Fan~ I have no place to go back," he chased after him continuously giving a heart broken look.
Finally near the door, Fan Xui glanced back in annoyance. "Don't utter nonsense. Qian told me you have a villa nearby. It was not taken. So why are you acting like you don't have a place to stay?"
The young man's expression distorted into an ugly frown. "n—no it feels to lonely there... I just can't live with myself knowing all the atrocious things my family has done to you. I want to somehow pay you back or else my heart won't rest," he said, tugging gently at his sleeve.
"Make sure to wire fifty thousand dollars as repayment. I think that would be enough for what your family has done." Fan Xui smiled at him.
He made sure that Liwei was out the door before he swiftly locked it. "You don't have to come running here anymore."
With a cheerful mood, Fan Xui climbed in. His assistant, Hans, picked him up as usual.
"What's with the cheerful mood, sir?"
"I just confirmed something," he said, smiling to himself.
"oh... by the way, I have talked with Zou Yue's manager about the copyright. They are okay with it."
Fan Xui nodded. "Good. I want other copies of the book as well. Any other copies you could find."
Hans glanced back with a sceptical look. "Can I ask why you are doing this? It will cause a whole lot of loss for us."
Right then he got a notification. Siri read out the message saying that fifty thousand was paid. "Charge my personal account," Fan Xui smirked widely.
His assistant gave him a dirty look.
"I bet you are questioning my motives."
"I think you might have gone crazy," Hans sighed loudly. "It's your money anyway I have no say in how you spend but throwing it away so easily like this..... Lives of the rich, sigh,"
Fan Xui smirked and shrugged. Their car passed by a self-care shop and a certain cover photo caught his eyes. He flinched back and laid flat on the seat. His heart was pounding loudly into his ears. 'what... what is this??'
"Hey, mister Fan, what's wrong? You okay back there?"
"I—I don't think I am....." Fan Xui touched his pounding heart with a deep frown.
Soon their car rolled by their office. Fan Xui ran out the door as if he was being chased by a dog. He ran to his office and sat down. With a random file he fanned his hot face. "Something is definitely wrong."
Hans walked in right at that time. "I brought you some tablets. You were whining about headaches right? It's better to get...." suddenly his sight was filled by a face. "Mister Fan, you are too close,"
Fan Xui peered at him with his eyes narrowed. Even at this short distance from a male species, his heart did not pound.
"Ahem....mister Fan,"
With an awkward cough, he retreated. "Your cologne smells good,"
"Really~ my girl friend gifted me this," Hans happily whispered.
Fan Xui's frown deepened. "Bring me any document that needs my approval and my signature. Postpone any meeting I have today." His assistant nodded and left.
His heart was even more confused. 'Do I like men or not. I have to test it out with someone else...'
As if the gods had heard his thoughts, his best friend Qian sauntered in. "Brother, I hate my work," he whined.
Fan Xui intently looked at him. "Really? What happened?"
Doubtfully, Qian glanced his way. "Hmm... suspicious.....,"
"What?"
"You never ask me anything voluntarily."
"I do, when I want to," Fan Xui secretly walked closer and sat next to him.
His friend gave him a weird look.
"I'm a good friend too, you know..." he moved even closer. His heart rate was still normal.
Qian peered at him for a while and smirked widely. "My friend. I love you too~" he held his hand out for a hug. Fan Xui ran away to his chair.
"Che, I thought I had the opportunity to hug my darling,"
"Shut it!"
"Darling~"
"Shut your mouth!!" his friend's words only made him disgusted.
Seeing his flushed appearance, Qian ran to him. "Brother? Are you blushing? Wait a minute, are you thinking about a certain someone?!"
"No, get lost,"
"No, no, I think you are. Look at your cheeks, they are flushed. Who is it? Is it a girl you met in the office? No, there are more men here than women. Even your janitor is a man, for goodnes's sake,"
"It's because all the women have a separate branch. It really increases productivity," Fan Xui explained she he started typing in his brail keyboard.
"Something is fishy here. I bet its someone you knew for long. Your cold heart won't melt for some random beauty.... oh lord, is it Liwei. I heard he stayed at your place. Don't tell me you both.."
"No!! Of course not!" Fan Xui looked at him in disgust.
"Okay, not him... then.. Is it... Zou.. Yue?"
He filched visibly.
"ah ha!!! Its Zou Yue! Its him!!"
"Stop shouting," Fan Xui tossed a document at him.
Qian caught it with a beaming smirk. "My dear Fan, I never thought I would see you smitten. Your spring is finally here. With flowers blossoming everywhere...."
"Get out!" he shoot up and literally pushed him out the door. "Hans, don't let him in,"
His assistant nodded, throwing a weird glance at mister Qian.
"Hans my darling, do you know your boss is experiencing his first spring." He said and left with a slight hop on his steps.
Hans's confusedly glanced at the door and at the guy who was walking away. 'They both are acting weird. Boss having a lover? Not possible at all....'
