Watching as the Night Crawler's lifeless body burnt into ashes in seconds, Khal lifted his gaze heavenwards, causing his indifferent complexion to be washed in the moon's silver and gentle light.

[I hope you know what the consequences of your act here today.]

Khal listened to Nova's calm voice with indifference before he lifted his lips, showing a mocking and somewhat arrogant smile.

"Yeah, I am," Khal said coldly and shifted his eye at the spot where he just killed the creature with his Soul Piercer, "But I don't really care. I am no longer a weakling as I have used to be back then. I have the strength to protect myself."

[I admit that you can kill others a whole cultivation stage above you, but against enemies such as that Night Crawler, you stand no chance at all even with that invisible armor of yours. You will be killed in a breath of time!]

Khal understood who Nova was referring to, but he just simply laughed and nodded, "That is true indeed, but then what? If he can't find me, he can't harm me, right? And even if he does, at that time I will be strong enough to slay him with a single flick of my finger!"

[You became quite arrogant and especially reckless. Did you lose all of your rationality or what?] 𝐟𝙧ee𝔀e𝐛𝓃𝐨𝚟𝑒𝗹.c𝗼𝚖

Nova's question made quite a sense indeed. Why would Khal do something so reckless as killing a Night Crawler in his own territory and start a conflict for no apparent reason? He could have effortlessly found another planet where things were the same, where he could have consumed beasts' essence in great numbers, so his current act was completely meaningless.

Furthermore, he could have easily chosen not to kill beasts but consume Essence Pills in great numbers instead, and use them to increase both his Body and Beast Essences! These methods could have saved him from so much trouble, yet he still decided to ignore these facts and remain on this planet.

"Lost my rationality?" Khal let out a cold laugh and shook his head, "Not at all, my head is perfectly in its right place. I became neither arrogant nor reckless, I just simply do what I must do, that's all."

As a fact, Khal understood way too clearly that there were many other paths he could have taken, but he didn't wish to. And why? Because he didn't have time!

Going to another planet and hunt for weaker beasts there? Search for another place similar to Planet Thov? Consuming Essence Pills instead of killing creatures and consuming their essence? These were all things Khal saw as a waste of time and with such methods, it was indeed true that the time he reaches the peak of the Second Realm years will pass by!

And he had could not wait for so long, not when knowing that his loved ones were in lurking danger!

That is why, if he must make an enemy out of everyone, then let it be! He didn't care because he already had a plan, which he thought about ever since he left Planet Katrov!

'I am sure everything will be perfectly fine.' Khal closed his eyes and showed an indifferent smile before he turned around and walked away with quick and long strides.

Somewhere else on Planet Thov, the old crawler stood before a small facility, his hand crossed before his chest as his seemingly boring complexion peered at the sight in front of him in silence.

Seconds became minutes and with every passing minute, the creature's eyes turned colder and colder, while the aura surrounding him became heavier too.

"Boss, the time..." one of the many Night Crawlers that worked as the old creature's subordinate walked out of the building behind, his expression rather pale.

However, even after hearing his subordinate's voice, the old crawler just stood silently in one place without responding, hence the subordinate had no choice but to do the same and wait.

Again, minutes flowed by seemingly unnoticed and in a flash, an entire hour has passed by with neither the two Night Crawlers moving or talking.

However, when another hour has passed after the first one, the subordinate seemed to get impatient and was ready to talk when the old crawler finally moved.

"B-Boss!?" the young crawler looked shocked and slightly terrified when he saw that his leader's complexion looked ghastly mad and grave, thus quickly decided to lower his head.

The old crawler seemed to ignore this and just walked toward the building while saying, "Gather everyone and issue lockdown on the entire planet. No one can enter nor leave until I say so."

Watching as his leader walked further away with each step, the subordinate snapped out of his daze and bowed with respect.

And just like that, the entirety of Planet Thov had been locked down, allowing not a single soul to leave or enter the globe's surface.

As the soldiers that specialized in such situations all gather in the main hall, every one of them holding a serious complexion which created a heavy atmosphere in the room.

"Everyone is here, huh?" the old crawler murmured in a low and indifferent tone of voice as his soulless gaze swept through each of the soldiers before him.

After taking a moment to evaluate everyone's level of strength, the old crawler nodded with satisfaction and waved his hand, creating a hovering image of Khal.

Swish!

"As you may already know, the reason I have gathered you is that we have a criminal, a human at that."

The Night Crawlers clad in black armor looked at the floating image with noticeable disgust and hatred.

"However, different from the previous situations, his crime is not only breaking the rules, but also murder. He has killed Lukas, who I sent to monitor his movements."

"!?"

A huge ruckus broke out when the soldiers heard the following words of their leader, and the feelings they have felt until this very moment only became several degrees deeper while the flames of outrage could be seen blazing in their eyes!
