Chapter 717 -453: Seizing Luck_2

The tribulation, it was not the Deity Transformation Tribulation, but Nascent Soul Tribulation!

That eye, also was not the Eye of Heavenly Punishment, but the Eye of Heavenly Intent!

The difference between the two, the former was for tribulation killing while the latter was for tribulation testing.

The great oath and great vows of tribulation testing!

As for the details, she, being a successor of the Alliance Heavenly Tao, could not possibly have been clearer.

The Alliance Heavenly Tao cultivates both Buddhism and Taoism, with the “Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly” as the highest realm; those who reach it can become True Immortals.

What is the cultivation of both Buddhism and Taoism, and what is the Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly?

It takes the oath-making techniques of Buddhism, combines them with the natural principles of Taoism, fuses both, allows Buddhism and Taoism to advance side by side, to establish a great oath and vow that is openly certified by heaven and earth. This is the co-cultivation of Buddhism and Taoism, the Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly.

The great oath and great vow, are sacred skills of Buddhism, all great saints of Buddhism since ancient times have spoken of “grand vows established.”

Among the most famous is the vow of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha: “Not until the hells are empty will I become a Buddha, only after all beings are saved will I verify Bodhi.” How grand is such a vow?

Not just Ksitigarbha, all the saints of Buddhism have their grand vows firmly established. Just like the great mercy of Avalokiteshvara, thus comes the “Twelve Vows of Avalokiteshvara.”

Therefore, the vow is a sacred skill of Buddhism; once established, it possesses immense power, aiding the Buddhas to fulfill this great vow.

Updated from freewёbnoνel.com.

But such sacred techniques of Buddhism cannot be cultivated by just anyone; one must have the right qualifications to undertake the vows.

If a shrāmaṇera, a mere monk, in a mortal body, imitates Ksitigarbha and Avalokiteshvara by establishing vows like “Not until the hells are empty will I become a Buddha, only after all beings are saved will I verify Bodhi,” will the heaven and earth be moved by him, to lend their wholehearted aid to him?

Naturally not!

If it were so, then cultivation would be easy; what need would there be for qualifications, comprehension, Dharma, wealth, or the right conditions? Just establish a grand vow and then sit and wait for the aid of the Heavenly Dao, enjoying the benefits of the vow.

After all, it’s not necessary for these vows to actually be fulfilled; hell has never been empty for so many years, isn’t Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha still comfortably seated?

As long as the vow is established and the tremendous power of Heavenly Dao is obtained, the outcome and everything else can be discussed later… Where in the world would you find such a good thing?

Without the right qualifications, the right abilities, the law of the vow simply won’t take effect.

Without the Buddhahood characteristic of Ksitigarbha, that status, how dare you say “not until the hells are empty”?

Without the compassion and meritorious virtue of Avalokiteshvara, how can you speak of “saving all beings”?

Putting it in more common terms, this great oath and great vow is essentially borrowing from heaven.

Without a certain level of qualifications as collateral, how could the heaven possibly answer your vow?

You, a beggar without a penny to your name, with empty walls at home, want to borrow tens or even hundreds of billions from the Heavenly Dao Bank, isn’t that a pipe dream?

A certain level of qualifications is a must for collateral!

Yuzhao herself is one example.

Why was she able to establish the Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly that “Until the Demon Catastrophe ends, I shall not become an immortal”?

Because she was a successor of the Alliance Heavenly, with a Nine Tribulations True Immortal as her master above and an Innately nurtured supreme spiritual body below, plus the Covenant Heaven’s Dao Skills and the Sect’s treasured Supreme Immortal Artifact—the Heaven-Drying Mirror—only after providing many guarantees could this Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly be established.

For others, even if they were Return to Void cultivators or Integration Great Powers, it would still be difficult to establish such a grand vow and oath.

Even so, the effect of her Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly was merely to enhance her cultivation efficiency, having no bottlenecks before True Immortal status, a certain degree of reduction in tribulations, transforming calamity into fortune, and turning peril into safety.

Although that was already quite remarkable, there is a saying: “Comparison kills joy, competition discards the inferior!”

It depends on whom you compare yourself with!

If with the one now, in front of you…

Heavenly Dao tribulation testing, merit aid!

What kind of concept is that?

If her Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly is equivalent to having borrowed tens of millions from the Heavenly Dao, then he must have borrowed hundreds of billions, even trillions or quadrillions!

The two are simply not on the same level.

What level must one reach to make the Heavenly Dao manifest, descend with tribulation testing, and bestow merit?

What qualifies him?

With what collateral does he persuade the Heavenly Dao that he has the qualifications for such an investment?

It is… live streaming!

Yes, it is live streaming!

It might seem unbelievable: a live streamer’s established vow could rival the support of a Nine Tribulations True Immortal and the collateral of a Supreme Immortal Artifact, such as the Great Oath of the Alliance Heavenly.

Unbelievable as it may seem, it nonetheless falls within the realm of reason.

The Heavenly Dao, what is the Heavenly Dao?

The natural order of heaven and earth, all living things, are the Heavenly Dao.

And in this world, of mere mortals alone, there are hundreds of billions.

Through live streaming, he captures a great and righteous aim, wins people’s hearts, and this becomes his qualification, surpassing hers as a member of the Alliance Heavenly Dao!

Unless her World Honoured master, the Nine Calamity True Immortal of the Alliance Heavenly Tao, replaced her to fulfill the hearts of billions with the status of a True Immortal, otherwise there’s no hope of establishing a higher great vow or oath.

And not to mention, he attracts more than just people’s hearts!

With a name known to all, the artifact in hand, power at the ready, mighty punch—mine alone!

Various factors combined in one person, and even without uttering a word, as the vow is established, the Heavenly Dao actively provides aid, sending down merit.

Such examples, throughout history, are scarcely found.

Not only must one have sufficient qualifications, but it also depends on timing and heavenly favor.

If it were not for the invasion of External Demons in the world today, then even if he had such qualifications, such potential, the Heavenly Dao would not provide him with such treatment.

After all, in times of peace, carefree and worry-free, who needs your vows?

This is timing as well as destiny; when great troubles plague the world, and heaven and earth hang in the balance, then comes forth a savior to face the tribulation.

This is a means of self-rescue by the Heavenly Dao!

Throughout history, during major calamities, it has always been so.

Whenever a great tribulation arises, there must emerge a tribulation’s master, with fate on their side, nothing proves difficult, protected by heaven and earth, impervious to Evil Demons, a true case of turning calamity into fortune and transforming peril into safety.
