Cultivator in the Last Days-Chapter 217: Killing
Slash! Slash! Slash!
Within moments, she moved swiftly, killing these people who used to mock and bully her. Blood splattered and because they were all just ordinary people, they could not fight back and fell down with a thud.
Just like that, no one around Yu Shi Lan survived.
Bodies fell to the ground, blood formed pools on the ground and people in the distance was screaming in fear.
Yet Yu Shi Lan felt that she couldn’t hear anything.
Looking at the group of her former classmates around her, Yu Shi Lan’s eyes deepened slightly.
When they all mocked her, Yu Shi Lan felt as if she was back to her past once more. To the time when they all gathered together and mocked her. She could still remember her fear for these people.
She didn’t dare to fight back.
They took her schoolbag and her homework was there along with all of her other books.
Knowing her foster parents wouldn’t be willing to buy her more books, Yu Shi Lan treasured these things and tried her best not to make trouble with them. But her classmates took them and threatened her with it.
If she didn’t listen, they would tear it open.
And if the teacher asked, they would say that it was Yu Shi Lan’s fault.
The fear and despair of that day crept up in Yu Shi Lan’s heart.
She was just an ordinary girl at that time.
Being surrounded by several students who were much taller and bigger than her, Yu Shi Lan was afraid. With no weapon in hand and then the girls restrained her, she couldn’t do anything.
What followed was nothing more than mockery and insults hurled towards her.
Yu Shi Lan could still remember being forced to do errands for them, buying things and if she was late, the girls would hit her and the boys would laugh on the side.
And once she angered them, they could even lock her in the warehouse all night long, making her have cold and fever the next day.
When her foster mother found out that she was sick, what followed was just scolding.
Saying that Yu Shi Lan was so stupid and such a waste that she couldn’t even take care of herself.
Yu Shi Lan had once tried to ask her mother for help, but what she received was another beating from her foster mother.
No one sided with her.
She was alone with no one who would be willing to help her.
Even if she cried for help, no one was willing to listen and would say that it was her fault to provoke those people. Her foster parents didn’t want to make an opponent of them and Yu Shi Lan couldn’t fight back against her foster parents because they would beat her up.
The people who truly earnestly advised her to fight back like Aunt Lin Hua back then was rare.
Most of the neighbors were only watching the joke between Yu Shi Lan and her foster parents. They would not be willing to get involved in the mess.
It was such a cold neighborhood.
But isn’t it the norm?
Everyone only cared for their own lives and didn’t care whether their own neighbor were alive or dead.
Yu Shi Lan couldn’t remember for sure what she was thinking at that time.
Why did she even listen to them...
But having lived her entire life with no one would be wiling to listen to her, Yu Shi Lan felt that it was already good enough that she didn’t think about destroying the entire world.
Because at that time, Yu Shi Lan really felt that nothing good remained in this world.
Perhaps living in the hospital for an entire month without facing mockery and insults from other people actually helped her to a certain degree.
In her previous life, that one month off allowed Yu Shi Lan to calm down and started to think more about her own life. The nurses were perfunctory but at the very least, they would not scold her or hit her.
After all, she’s a patient.
They would not be wiling to make trouble for herself.
In her previous life, it was this month off that allowed her to calm down and sorted out her thoughts.
Perhaps, it was what eventually fueled her to fight back.
Because it was only after that one month that when someone tried to bully her, Yu Shi Lan fight back and nearly killed someone.
She could still remember the feeling of that glass shard in her hand, the weapon she found in a hurry. And after that, she met with her former classmates who also mocked her and wanted to make fun of her, but that time, she directly took a knife and stabbed them instead.
Yu Shi Lan didn’t remember whether she killed them or not in the end.
Her attention was fully focused on the blood slipping in her hand, a feeling that was hard to describe in words.
She had never fought back before.
But when her life was truly threatened... she found out that she was not as obedient nor as quiet as she used to be.
Her decision was still to fight back for her own life, even if it meant staining her hand with blood.
And it was since then that the amount of blood in her hand increased.
In the cultivation world... she barely hesitated to kill.
By now, there was simply no hesitation as she had killed so many people for the sake of her cultivation.
Yu Shi Lan took a deep breath and glanced lightly at the people in the distance. Seeing that none of them wanted to step forward, Yu Shi Lan turned around and left.
Their corpses would either be taken back by their family members or perhaps it would be left behind to be eaten by the demonic beasts.
Either way, it was not Yu Shi Lan’s business.
She just wanted to leave.
