Chapter 800: Chapter 800: You Are Not Alone

“What do you want to eat?” Adrian Zhekova asked the little guy.

Aside from using ice cream to bribe the little one, he could feed him some of his favorite foods while he was at it.

If the little guy was in a good mood and happy, he’d forget to tattle on Cindy Clarke.

“I want to eat pizza,” the little guy immediately said.

Although Cindy didn’t often let him eat fast food, she wasn’t strictly against it either.

So the three of them went to eat pizza together.

Afterward, Adrian Zhekova bought the little guy a small ice cream.

Fearing that eating too much would upset his stomach.

After eating in the store and warming up a bit, they went to the parking lot to drive home.

Thinking about the fifth day of the month, when she would meet the Zhekova family relatives.

Cindy still felt extremely nervous.

At night, in the same bed with Adrian Zhekova, being so close to her, he could easily sense Cindy’s restlessness.

She had become very unsettled.

“What’s wrong?” Adrian Zhekova scooped her up and asked.

“Nothing much, just a bit nervous,” Cindy replied.

“Because of tomorrow?” Adrian Zhekova asked.

Cindy nodded obediently.

“Even if I tell you not to be nervous now, I’m afraid you can’t do it. Though you may want to remind yourself not to be nervous, it’s not something you can control by willpower,” Adrian Zhekova said.

Cindy nodded in his arms.

Adrian Zhekova really knew her too well.

This genuinely reassured Cindy.

“But remember that no matter what happens or what their attitudes are, I’m here, your parents and elders are here; we all support you,” he said.

“And with us here, even if my second uncle really has any dissatisfaction, he won’t dare to say anything too harsh,” Adrian Zhekova continued.

“Anyway, there will be many of us there tomorrow,” Adrian Zhekova said, “you’re not alone.”

Cindy nodded.

She snuggled into a more comfortable position in Adrian’s arms and closed her eyes, “I know, I’ll just be nervous for a while. After a while, I’ll adjust.”

Adrian Zhekova smiled and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

“Don’t force yourself to adjust,” Adrian Zhekova said, “but don’t I make you feel secure enough?”

Cindy thought about it as well.

With Adrian Zhekova there, what was there to be afraid of?

So it wasn’t long before Cindy fell asleep.

“If my second uncle is easy to get along with tomorrow, that’s fine. But if he says anything unpleasant, just ignore him directly,” Adrian Zhekova said.

After a pause, he received no response from Cindy.

He looked down to see Cindy with her eyes closed, her face looking especially relaxed.

He felt her breathing become more prolonged.

He knew she had already fallen asleep.

Adrian Zhekova couldn’t help but chuckle.

She was just worried and tossing around just a short while ago, but now she fell asleep as soon as she said it.

Adrian Zhekova kissed her forehead again, held Cindy a little tighter in his arms, and closed his eyes as well.

The next day, Cindy woke up at eight o’clock.

She had gone to bed early the night before, and considering today’s visit to the family mansion to meet the relatives was still on her mind.

So, she didn’t even need an alarm clock, she naturally woke up early.

When she woke up, she and Adrian Zhekova were no longer in the same positions as when they fell asleep.

But she was still in Adrian Zhekova’s arms.

Adrian Zhekova was holding her tightly.

No matter how much Cindy moved, she was likely to wake Adrian Zhekova up.

But today, they needed to go to the family mansion, if the elder relatives had already arrived, and they hadn’t yet, it wouldn’t be good.

Cindy had to carefully remove Adrian Zhekova’s arm.

As expected, as soon as she moved, Adrian Zhekova woke up.

His eyes still somewhat unfocused, his voice hoarse, “Why are you up?”

“It’s eight o’clock,” Cindy said, “I was thinking of going to the family mansion. We can either go earlier and wait or risk being late.”

“You sleep more. I’m just going to tidy up and prepare breakfast,” Cindy said.

“Eight o’clock?” Adrian Zhekova’s brain was still not functioning very fast.

Cindy thought about it; after eating breakfast and tidying up, it would be at least 10 o’clock when they left.

Reaching the family mansion before 11 wouldn’t be considered early.
