Daddy is too Strong-Chapter 27
Chapter 27
At Do-Jun’s words, Choi Young-Hoon brushed his hair back and chuckled, looking at the ashtray, now nearly overflowing with liquor and cigarette butts.
“Hah...”
Taking out a new cigarette, he put it in his mouth, then brought his index finger to it.
Sizzle.
Manipulating the mana in his body using Transmutation, he lit the cigarette using an E-rank skill called Ignite. Then, after taking a drag from his cigarette, he blew the smoke right into Do-Jun’s face.
“What if I don’t want to? What are you going to do?” Choi Young-Hoon said as his eyebrows twitched.
He couldn’t believe that this mere civil servant was showing him disrespect when he was a B-rank Hunter—one among the top ten percent in the world.
“Huh? I asked you what you were going to do?” he mocked again.
Without any warning, a blue aura flickered from Do-Jun’s fingers and jabbed Choi Young-Hoon’s chest, hitting the paralysis point to immobilize his body and the mute point to silence him.
“Young-Hoon.” Do-Jun took the cigarette from between Choi Young-Hoon’s fingers.
Unable to move, Choi Young-Hoon had no choice but to watch. As Do-Jun grabbed his jaw, his mouth opened on its own, and his tongue stuck out.
W-what the hell! Fuck, my body isn’t...!
Do-Jun slowly brought the lit cigarette toward Choi Young-Hoon’s tongue. “You should have just drunk it.”
Sizzle.
“U-uuuugh...!”
Tears streamed down Choi Young-Hoon’s face as an intense burning pain radiated from his tongue.
“Why would a big-shot B-rank Hunter like you do something so foolish?” Do-Jun muttered while smiling softly.
He then extended his fist toward Choi Young-Hoon’s stomach, stopping right before making contact with the abdomen.
Gurgle!
A strange noise came from Choi Young-Hoon’s abdomen, and a second later, his eyes rolled back, and foam spewed from his mouth.
His dantian, the core where he stored his mana, shattered, bringing immense pain.
Karrghhh!
Despite feeling an utterly excruciating pain, Choi Young-Hoon couldn’t even scream. It felt like his internal organs were twisting, and he sensed all the mana in his body dissipating.
“You should have known better, Young-Hoon.”
Do-Jun grabbed Choi Young-Hoon by the hair and then slammed his face into the table.
Bang!
The table shattered, and Choi Young-Hoon collapsed forward, leaving those watching frozen in shock.
Do-Jun adjusted his clothes and got up, making everyone around him flinch.
After seeing Choi Young-Hoon clearly broken down, not a single person dared to approach him. They could only watch as Do-Jun walked out.

At a café about five minutes from Shilla, an awkward silence filled the air. Sweat trickled down Hyuk-Soo’s back as he tried to think of a reason why Min-Ji, an S-rank Hunter from Icarus Guild, one of the top three guilds in the country, was here with him.
It’s clear that Do-Jun did something to help me, but...
Hyuk-Soo couldn’t deny that the person he viewed as his close childhood friend had abused his power for fun, humiliating Hyuk-Soo in the process. He knew that Do-Jun had fabricated a story to get him out of trouble without much damage.
As a result, Min-Ji came to help.
It doesn’t make any sense, Hyuk-Soo thought.
At the last company outing, he heard Ye-Ji say that Do-Jun had torn up the business card Min-Ji had given him right in front of her.
So why would Min-Ji make time to come and help?
Buzzzz.
The buzzer on the table lit up, and Hyuk-Soo and Min-Ji stood up simultaneously.
“I-I’ll go get it.”
“N-no, please stay seated. I’ll bring it over.”
This was an uncomfortable situation for both sides. After a few rounds of awkward back-and-forth, Hyuk-Soo sat down, and Min-Ji walked to the counter to get their coffee.
While waiting, Hyuk-Soo took out the envelope Do-Jun had given him.
“Hah, man...” he said with a dry laugh.
Inside the envelope were nothing but simple legal books and guidelines that Do-Jun must have brought to study at home.
Min-Ji returned with their coffee and placed it on the table.
“Thank you,” Hyuk-Soo said and nodded slightly.
He glanced at his wristwatch and began shaking his leg without realizing it.
Why isn’t he coming? Has something happened? Should I call the police?
Seeing his unease, Min-Ji reassured him, “Do-Jun will be fine. Don’t worry too much.”
“But those guys are B-rank Hunters. I have a bad feeling. I think I should call the police. Something bad might be happening inside...”
Hyuk-Soo’s words made Han Min-Ji chuckle. “Do-Jun? Getting bullied by some B-rank Hunters? Honestly, I feel sorrier for them.”
“Pardon?” Hyuk-Soo was taken aback by Min-Ji’s casual reaction.
Sure, Do-Jun had recently Awakened, but he had never undergone physical enhancement. It was natural for him to be overwhelmed by B-rank Hunters who had years of experience as well as several physical enhancements.
“Oh, maybe you aren’t aware of some things, Supervisor Kwon. Then I’ll just be quiet.”
Min-Ji recalled the energy she sensed from Do-Jun. It was overwhelming enough to make even an S-rank Hunter like her flinch.
She was puzzled as to why the machine couldn’t measure his rank during the preliminary assessment, but she figured it was just a system error.
“By the way, your offer to sign a contract with us was just an act, right?” Hyuk-Soo asked.
“Yes, completely just for show. It was clear what was happening in the situation. You two were probably trying to entertain those B-rank Hunters to recruit them, weren’t you?”
Min-Ji showed her smartphone to Hyuk-Soo.
Lee Do-Jun: Please come immediately. Sinsa-dong XXX-XX. Room 38 at Shilla.
“Honestly, I thought he had good news for me or something,” Min-Ji said, letting out a deep sigh.
She was very happy when she received a text from Do-Jun, wondering if perhaps he had developed an interest in becoming a Hunter or if Ye-Ji was planning to join the Icarus Guild.
She had a small glimmer of hope.
At that moment, the café door opened, and Do-Jun walked in. He approached their table and sat down next to Hyuk-Soo.
“Are you okay?” Hyuk-Soo asked, looking over Do-Jun.
Watching them, Min-Ji smiled. “Supervisor Lee.”
“Yes, Hunter Min-Ji.”
“I’m assuming I scored some points with you today?”
Do-Jun nodded in response.
Min-Ji clenched her fist and softly exclaimed, “Yes!”
Hyuk-Soo was lost for words.
Min-Ji should have an unfavorable impression not only of Do-Jun but also of the entire Fissure Management Division. Do-Jun had torn up her business card, telling her she had displeased him.
Regardless of whose fault it was, from the perspective of an S-rank Hunter like Min-Ji, it would have seemed almost laughable.
But what’s with her expression? Hyuk-Soo thought with astonishment.
A pure smile, like that of a child receiving candy, adorned Min-Ji’s face. If Min-Ji had a tail, it would probably be wagging.
“Whatever this is... Thank you so much for today, both of you.” Hyuk-Soo bowed his head.
If he had come alone today, and if Min-Ji hadn’t come, he would have been truly miserable.
“No, I should be thanking you, Senior,” Do-Jun said with a smile.
Hyuk-Soo’s eyes widened. There was no reason for Do-Jun to thank him.
“It’s because of your kindness and trust that I was able to stay in civil service. And today, you encouraged me to come along because you were looking out for me. Even though there were some hiccups along the way, you were still looking out for me.”
Hyuk-Soo lowered his head deeply, feeling that he would tear up uncontrollably if he looked at Do-Jun’s face right now.
“Supervisor Kwon, you have a really good junior,” Min-Ji chimed in.
“I couldn’t have asked for anyone better...” Hyuk-Soo wiped his tears with his fingers.
Then, Do-Jun’s smartphone vibrated.
Buzz, buzz.
[Seol Yoon-Hee]
“Yes, Yoon-Hee?”
—Where are you, Father?
“Well...” Do-Jun hesitated to answer.
Now that he thought about it, he hadn’t told her he might be out for dinner tonight. He checked the time; it was 8:10 PM.
“What’s for dinner tonight?”
—Why? Will you decide whether to come home based on what I’m cooking?
“N-no...?” Do-Jun was momentarily flustered but managed to cover it up.
—I’m making beef hotpot. I’m just starting to prepare it.
“Yoon-Hee, is it okay to bring two more people over?”
—Who are they...?
“My senior from work and Hunter Min-Ji.”
—H-hunter Min-Ji?
“Yeah. Is that okay? Last time, we ate together at the Bureau...”
—Yes, it’s okay! I’ll have everything ready!
Click.
Do-Jun looked at Hyuk-Soo and Min-Ji and asked, “Do you like beef hotpot?”

A short while later, Do-Jun and his party stopped in front of his apartment.
When Do-Jun pressed the doorbell, they could hear the rushed footsteps of someone running to the door. Then the door burst open, revealing the greeting Yoon-Hee.
“Welcome home, Father.”
“Hey, I’m back.”
Hyuk-Soo and Min-Ji looked at Yoon-Hee and bowed slightly.
“Hello. I’m Kwon Hyuk-Soo, Supervisor Lee’s senior from work.”
“Oh, yes! I’m...”
“You’re Do-Jun’s daughter, right? Do-Jun told me about you during your field trip.”
At those words, Yoon-Hee looked at Do-Jun anxiously. Had he told them everything, including their contractual relationship?
Catching on to her thoughts, Do-Jun shook his head.
“Nice to meet you. We met last time, didn’t we?” Min-Ji spoke with a smile, and Yoon-Hee nodded vigorously.
To a Hunter Academy freshman, an S-rank Hunter was practically a god. Having such a figure visit her home was a great honor.
“Welcome home, Master.” Yong-Yong walked up to the entrance and bowed his head toward Do-Jun.
Min-Ji glanced between Yong-Yong and Do-Jun before asking, “What is this... Supervisor Lee?”
“This is my pet... no, my partner.”
The sourc𝗲 of this content is frёeωebɳovel.com.
“Your partner?”
Do-Jun nodded.
Standing beside him, Hyuk-Soo added, “Last time, during a tour with the Academy freshmen in an F-rank Fissure, Do-Jun had his Awakening, though I’m not sure if it’s a summoning skill or a taming skill.”
Min-Ji looked at Do-Jun.
A natural Awakening typically occurred in relation to one’s talents or something closely related to one’s life.
Summoning skills were almost never obtained without physical enhancement, and taming skills very occasionally appeared in people who had a close bond with their pets or worked with animals.
But a partner out of the blue? That was hard to understand.
“Grrr,” Yong-Yong growled at Min-Ji.
She picked up Yong-Yong, turned him around, and examined him.
“Aaargh! Let go! You demon!” Yong-Yong yelled at her.
“Supervisor Lee... is this...?”
A dragon.
Though it was tiny, its appearance was unmistakably that of a dragon. On top of that, she noticed something on its forehead, a small number etched there.
Number 1...
Min-Ji recalled Masalis, the dragon discovered three years ago in a Great Fissure near Busan. During the raid, an accident cost the lives of three S-rank Hunters.
She also remembered that there was a number on Masalis’ forehead.
Masalis was number 10.
Looking at Yong-Yong, struggling to escape her grasp, Min-Ji shrugged her shoulders and set him down on the floor.
Now free, Yong-Yong sprinted to the living room and leaped onto the sofa.
That thing can’t be a dragon, Min-Ji told herself, remembering the incident where a single Breath attack from Masalis had killed two S-rank Hunters.
“Burp.”
Hearing Yong-Yong’s burp, Han Min-Ji chuckled softly.
I guess I was worrying about nothing.
