Daddy is too Strong-Chapter 98
Chapter 98
In the National Hunter Academy, the classroom for freshmen Class A was located on the second floor of the main building.
A female student seated in the back row by the window rested her chin on her hand, gazing outside as the spring breeze blew in through the open window, gently stirring her hair.
She was Eun-Joo, the younger sister of Kang-Hyun—Korea’s top-ranked Hunter and the Sword Emperor.
“As I said earlier, we have a self-guided field trip tomorrow. You do not need to come to school, and you’re free to choose your own location as long as it aligns with the learning objectives. However, please remember that the report is due by Thursday, and at least one photo is mandatory,” the teacher explained and hurriedly left for the staff room.
The remaining students got up and left the classroom according to their schedules—heading to the cafeteria, dormitories, or straight to the training room.
Eun-Joo sighed and slumped over her desk, glancing at a sheet of paper in her hand titled “Field Trip Report.”
“So annoying,” she muttered.
She wondered why they were even doing this.
Sure, visiting a guild, the Hunter’s Bureau, or a management office to see how the Hunter-related systems worked beyond just combat could be slightly useful, but it didn’t seem essential.
“And they want us to submit a photo? Then we really have to go,” she muttered with a face full of annoyance. She had no idea where to go. To be more precise, she simply didn’t want to go anywhere.
A perfect idea for a field trip location suddenly popped into her mind.

The next day.
After getting a quick smoke on the rooftop, Cheol-Soo headed to the Fissure Management Division office on the seventh floor when he noticed a girl peeking inside the office entrance.
She had short, slightly wavy hair and looked like she had just started high school. Cheol-Soo instantly recognized her.
“Where is he...” the girl muttered, glancing around as if searching for someone.
Cheol-Soo cautiously approached her and asked, “Can I help you with something?”
Eun-Joo jerked her shoulders up in surprise and turned quickly to look at the middle-aged man who had called out to her. She noticed the government ID badge hanging around his neck, indicating he was a staff member here.
With a slight bow, Eun-Joo said, “Oh, hello. I’m...”
Before she could finish her introduction, Cheol-Soo added, “Lee Eun-Joo, right? The younger sister of Hunter Lee Kang-Hyun.”
How could he not know her?
Let alone that her brother, Kang-Hyun, was the most famous Hunter in Korea, Eun-Joo herself was also a promising talent with A-rank abilities and was well-known to anyone in the Korean Hunter industry.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Section Chief Kang Cheol-Soo from the Fissure Exploration Unit.”
“Ah, yes...”
“So, what brings you here?” Cheol-Soo asked.
“Oh, right, about that... Just a second.”
Eun-Joo pulled a field trip report form from her rabbit-shaped backpack and showed it to Cheol-Soo.
“We were given a field trip assignment at the Academy, and I was hoping I could check out the Seoul Fissure Management Division... would that be okay?”
“Haha, so that’s what it is. Of course, that’s fine.”
She wasn’t just anyone; she was the Sword Emperor’s sister. Even though it was a busy time for the Fissure Management Division, Cheol-Soo was happy to agree, knowing it could only be a good thing to score some points with her.
“Um... Is Mr. Lee Do-Jun... Ah, I mean, Supervisor Lee Do-Jun here?” Eun-Joo asked somewhat hesitantly.
Upon hearing yet another visitor asking for Do-Jun, Cheol-Soo replied, “Popular guy, isn’t he?”
“Sorry?”
He laughed heartily.
***
Do-Jun was busy typing away at his desk.
Sitting next to the busily working Do-Jun, Eun-Joo carefully observed him, glancing at the contents of a draft document he was working on.
He handled various tasks, from managing contracted Hunters and reviewing Fissure patrol reports to preparing an Excel spreadsheet for monster byproduct settlements and logging the use of public equipment and artifacts by Hunters.
Before she knew it, Eun-Joo had already completed half of her field trip report.
Two hours had flown by since she arrived at the office early in the morning, toured the Fissure Management Division, and shadowed Do-Jun, observing his work from the side.
He just seems like a regular civil servant, though, Eun-Joo thought, confused.
According to what her brother had told her, if it hadn’t been for Do-Jun’s help in the Core raid, Behemoth Guild couldn’t have progressed in their exploration, or worse, they could have even been annihilated.
Though he wouldn’t share any specifics and kept them a secret, he had made it clear that Do-Jun was far from an ordinary person.
Eun-Joo knew that her brother would never exaggerate, but she still couldn’t tell in what way Do-Jun was unusual. When she witnessed his evaluation last time, the machine clearly showed that he had no powers whatsoever.
Recently, she’d heard during a Fissure field trip that he’d awakened some taming skills, but if he’d been of any help to Behemoth Guild, he should have been at the level of Kanzaki Soshiro, at the very least.
Just then, Do-Jun stood up, grabbing the suit jacket draped over his chair.
After informing Cheol-Soo that he was heading out on a business trip, he turned to her and said, “I have something to take care of on-site. I’ll help you finish the field trip report once I return.”
“Uh, wait! Could you take me with you to the site? I’ve got a general idea of the office work now, but I’d really like to see how you handle things on the field.”
“Hmm...” Do-Jun glanced at his wristwatch. “This isn’t exactly part of my official duties, but... alright.”
***
“Our dorm...?” Eun-Joo asked, puzzled.
The place where Do-Jun and Eun-Joo arrived was none other than the dormitory of the Hunter Academy. More precisely, it was the backyard, a bit distant from the dorm.
Do-Jun had clearly said they were going to a Fissure site, so she couldn’t understand why they had come to the Academy, especially to the dormitory.
Suddenly, sparks flickered in the air, and Eun-Joo instantly recognized what was happening.
“N-no way...” she stammered.
There had been nothing there just a moment ago, but now a Fissure over twenty meters in height had formed, stretching up to the sky. However, something about it felt wrong—its entrance felt unstable, unlike a normal Fissure.
She realized this was a break out—a phenomenon where a monster burst out of a Fissure.
These Fissures could appear anywhere, even in places they hadn’t previously formed. Usually, such temporary Fissures only released one or two monsters before vanishing, but that wasn’t the issue.
“W-why is it so big?” Eun-Joo muttered as she stared at the Fissure.
Temporary Fissures typically adjusted their size to fit the monster emerging from them. This one was already over twenty meters tall.
She turned and said to Do-Jun, “Mister! We need to run!”
Who knew what kind of monster would appear? They had no suits, no equipment—nothing to protect themselves.
Not only was fighting a monster unarmed pure suicide, but judging by the size of the Fissure, the monster coming out would be at least an A-rank.
Crackle!
Sparks flew from the Fissure, and a creature slowly emerged from the unstable entrance.
Turning to look at Do-Jun, Eun-Joo saw him calmly watching the monster’s emergence. It was as if he had known this all along.
What happened next left Eun-Joo staring at Do-Jun, her mouth wide open in astonishment.
A single sword materialized next to Do-Jun, floating in midair. With a thunderous sound, the sword shot forward toward the monster. Then, in the blink of an eye, the balrog—a notoriously difficult S-rank monster—was slaughtered instantly.
***
As the washing machine hummed in the background, Do-Jun sat in Eun-Joo’s dorm room, sipping tea.
Naturally, when the balrog was killed, its blood splattered everywhere.
Out of habit, Do-Jun surrounded himself with qi to prevent his clothes from getting dirty but completely forgot about Eun-Joo, who ended up drenched in the balrog’s blood.
Creak.
The bathroom door opened, and thick, hot steam billowed out. Eun-Joo walked out of the bathroom and leaned against the wall beside the door. She stared at him blankly as she dried her wet hair with a towel.
“It’s just so weird,” she mumbled.
“What is?” Do-Jun asked in a more comfortable tone now that they were out of the office and no one was observing them.
After all, they were already acquainted, and she was also his daughter’s friend.
“Why are you even a civil servant, mister?” Eun-Joo asked.
“What do you mean? There’s nothing better than this out there.”
The pay wasn’t anything crazy, but it was enough to live on. The work hours were manageable, and the benefits were decent. All in all, it was the perfect job for someone who wanted to live a simple, ordinary life, and Do-Jun was genuinely satisfied with it.
“Do you really think that? I mean... if you become a Hunter—” Eun-Joo abruptly stopped talking as Do-Jun stood up.
He walked over to Eun-Joo and stopped right in front of her. His sudden actions startled her, making her flinch involuntarily.
“Uh, m-mister?”
The atmosphere had changed in an instant. The warm look in Do-Jun’s eyes had turned cold. Eun-Joo felt terrified as he looked down at her.
In hindsight, how could she have been so careless?
He may be her friend’s father, but he was still a man in his twenties. Not only had she let him into her dorm room, but she had just walked out of the bathroom, freshly showered.
The difference in their height became more pronounced as he drew nearer, making him seem even more intimidating.
Without a word, Do-Jun slammed his hand against the wall, his palm barely missing Eun-Joo’s cheek.
Startled, her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the floor.
“I-I’m s-so sorry, m-mister...” Eun-Joo apologized, on the verge of tears.
Was he mad because she’d disrespected his job as a civil servant?
Do-Jun took his hand off the wall and said, “Mosquitoes are coming out early this year, huh?”
“S-sorry?”
Do-Jun casually brushed a dead mosquito off his palm and looked at the trembling Eun-Joo with a puzzled expression.
***
That night, Eun-Joo worked on her laptop in her room, finishing her field trip report. Do-Jun had emailed her the necessary data, so she had no difficulty writing it.
Since the Fissure Management Division often worked with the Hunter’s Bureau, management agencies, and guilds, the content was quite extensive.
She suddenly stopped typing as she remembered the afternoon's events. The scene of Do-Jun slamming his hand on the wall still vividly replayed in her mind.
Eun-Joo minimized the Word document on her taskbar, opened her web browser, and typed “wall slamming” into the search bar.
She stared blankly at the search results, then slumped onto her bed, burying her face in the pillow. She took out her smartphone and looked at a photo she had taken earlier that day.
It was a side profile shot of Do-Jun at work.
“Man...” she said weakly.
The photo had turned out quite well.
***
Yong-Yong and Byeol were playing a memory-matching game.
“This one,” Byeol said, picking up a card from the ones lying face down, and revealed the rabbit on the other side.
“You... you have a pretty good memory,” Yong-Yong complimented her.
Determined not to lose, he inspected the face-down cards, finally selecting one from the center, all the while praying, “Please be a rabbit.”
The game rule was simple: whoever picked up the most rabbit cards won.
Byeol was in the lead with five points, while Yong-Yong had only two.
Just then, Do-Jun’s phone buzzed from an incoming message. He had left it on the table while he showered. Yong-Yong jumped onto the table to check the phone. It was a message from Eun-Joo.
Lee Eun-Joo: Mister, I forgot to send you the photo earlier. And please, refrain from wall-slamming next time... it’s bad for my heart.
A preview of the message showed a picture—a selfie of a girl with a rabbit backpack posing next to Do-Jun—obviously taken by the girl.
“Woah,” Yong-Yong exclaimed.
With a little hop, he jumped down to the floor and checked the card he’d just picked. It had a rabbit on it.
“Byeol, how many moms do you have?” he asked the kid.
“I have two mommies, why...?” Byeol replied and tilted her head, puzzled.
