Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 432: Found Her
The meal wasn’t enjoyable for Amelia Miles, but she had no other choice.
Apart from comforting her, Sarah Moore also felt reluctant in her heart.
"Elly, we might not be able to meet often, but we can video call every day."
"Is that the same? I want to feel the real you."
"Alright, come visit me at Vexia whenever you have time."
"That’s the only thing I can do."
The two chatted a little more and then prepared to leave.
Someone approached their table.
The man’s gaze was burning as he looked at Sarah Moore, calling out excitedly yet restrained, "Kiki."
Sarah Moore’s heart skipped a beat as she turned her head, meeting Nick Hook’s dark eyes.
Nick Hook!
What was he doing here?
And why was he calling her Kiki?
How did he recognize her?
Suppressing her shock, Sarah Moore feigned calmness, "Sir, you’ve got the wrong person."
"I haven’t got the wrong person, Kiki, you don’t need to pretend."
Nick Hook placed a listening device on the table that he had retrieved from beneath it, and then took out his phone to play a recording.
"Brooke, actually Craig Landers is quite good. Don’t you want to tell him the truth? You aren’t dead, but in his eyes, your disappearance is related to him, and this will burden him for a lifetime."
"Elly, I promised Frost Moore that I wouldn’t reconcile with Craig Landers. The former Leia Quinn is dead, and now I am Sarah Moore, the Mercer Family’s eldest daughter."
Earlier, he seized the chance as the dishes were served to place a listening device underneath their table.
Therefore, Leia Quinn couldn’t deny it.
Leia Quinn’s face changed color several times.
No wonder she found the waiter familiar just now.
Was that person disguised as Nick Hook?
Has he been watching her all this time?
Connecting the dots as she seemed to be followed these past few days, maybe it was indeed Nick Hook.
"Have you been stalking me these past few days?"
Leia Quinn stared at Nick Hook and asked.
"Yes, Kiki, I don’t believe that you’re dead. I’ve been searching for you for so long; finally, my efforts paid off, and I’ve discovered some clues."
Nick Hook was somewhat excited, "I wasn’t completely sure that you were Kiki, so I’ve been following you to get a definite answer. Finally, I’ve waited long enough."
Ever since they had an encounter at the Hook Family banquet, after which he was filled with guilt yet secretly delighted.
Initially, he thought he would marry Leia Quinn after she divorced Craig Landers.
But unexpectedly, the news he received was about Leia Quinn’s disappearance at sea.
He was both shocked and disbelieving, frantically searching for her.
Along the coast, he looked everywhere until he stumbled upon a fisherman’s home, where he got a piece of information.
A man from Vexia, a doctor, saved a woman who almost died.
Following this lead, he investigated, finally tracing it back to the Mercer Family. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
But the Mercer Family kept their secrets tightly, and he couldn’t act rashly.
So he could only investigate secretly.
Coincidentally, Amelia Miles brought them to Sea City, so he came to Sea City as well.
After several follow-ups, the more he looked, the more he felt Sarah Moore was Leia Quinn, thus deciding to eavesdrop.
Hence the surveillance today.
"Nick Hook, invading someone’s privacy is illegal."
Amelia Miles pulled Sarah Moore behind her, glaring at Nick Hook with a face full of vigilance.
Nick Hook glanced at her without a hint of anger, "Miss Grant can choose to call the police, as long as you’re not afraid that I’ll reveal Kiki’s true identity."
He had been following Sarah Moore and knew she didn’t plan to reveal her true identity to Craig Landers.
This was beneficial to him.
Of course, it was also a leverage.
A means to have Sarah Moore accept him.
"You."
Amelia Miles was furious, wanting to scold him, only to be stopped by Sarah Moore.
Sarah Moore shook her head towards Amelia Miles and looked at Nick Hook.
"Brother, since you already know my identity, I won’t hide anymore. Yes, I am Leia Quinn, and I’m not dead."
Unexpectedly, Nick Hook had been looking for her all along.
But she wasn’t moved at all.
Thinking back to what transpired at the previous banquet only made her wish to stay far away from him.
Sarah Moore suppressed the turmoil in her heart, looked at Nick Hook’s excited face, and spoke with a calm tone, "Although I’m not dead, I won’t live as Leia Quinn. Brother, I’m about to return to Vexia, please don’t follow me anymore."
Nick Hook’s eyes were burning, "Kiki, I finally found you, I can’t let go again."
No matter where she went, he would follow.
"Brother, what do you want? You should know, I’ve never liked you."
Sarah Moore frowned, her tone turning colder.
"Kiki, don’t be upset. I don’t mean anything by it, I just want to quietly stay by your side and spend the rest of our lives together."
Nick Hook hurriedly spoke, his eyes brimming with deep affection, "It doesn’t matter if you don’t like me; it’s enough that I like you."
He had waited for so many years; what’s more time?
As long as he persisted, he didn’t believe she would be indifferent to him.
"Brother, you..."
Sarah Moore’s brows knitted even tighter.
She was really annoyed by Nick Hook’s entanglement.
"Kiki, rest assured, I won’t tell anyone about your identity; you can continue being the eldest daughter of the Mercer Family."
Nick Hook added.
Sarah Moore glanced at him, "Brother, what are you trying to say? If you want to use my identity as Sarah Moore to threaten me, I will not yield."
"Kiki, you misunderstand me. How could I threaten you?"
Nick Hook hurriedly explained: "What I said is true, I just want to quietly stay by your side."
He wouldn’t be foolish enough to threaten her.
He wouldn’t let her resent him again.
Sarah Moore only felt a headache coming, unsure how to persuade Nick Hook to stop latching onto her.
Does she really have such charisma?
Enough to make Nick Hook yearn for her all these years?
She really had to thank him for liking her!
"Nick Hook, why are you so annoying? It’s because of you that Kiki turned out this way. If you really love her, you should give her freedom, not cling onto her."
Amelia Miles couldn’t stand it any longer and spoke up.
Nick Hook’s smile slightly faded as he cast her a glance, staying silent.
But the obstinance on his face was obvious.
He could not let go.
"Elly, let’s go."
Sarah Moore pulled Amelia Miles and left.
The Royal Court Club was nearby, and as the two reached its door, Nick Hook continued to follow them.
"Why are you still following?"
Amelia Miles felt an itch in her hand, wanting to hit someone.
Nick Hook wore a smile, ignoring her, his gaze deeply fixed on Sarah Moore.
Sarah Moore was agitated, gently patting Amelia Miles’s hand, "Elly, you go ahead, I’ll talk to him alone."
"But..."
Amelia Miles furrowed her brows, looking at her with some worry.
"It’s alright, I believe he won’t do anything to me."
Sarah Moore reassured with a smile.
Amelia Miles stayed quiet for a moment before glancing at Nick Hook and ultimately deciding to leave first.
After she left, Sarah Moore looked at Nick Hook and organized her words.
"Brother, I’m someone who has faced death once and knows even better what I want. You are giving me a lot of pressure, do you know? Just imagine if someone you don’t love constantly haunts you, watching your every move from the shadows. How would you feel?"
