Damned Healer-Chapter 200: Heat Of Everything
Chapter 200: Heat Of Everything
Everyone was terrified, but it only took five seconds for that light to shrink. All the golden light gathered into a single point, stabilizing.
When they focused on the epicenter, they saw—right next to Irana—a humanoid golden silhouette. It stood over two meters tall, and its eyes glowed deep red.
At the same time, everyone felt a pressure almost identical to the two demonic silhouettes. It was the presence of someone above mortals. But this new figure didn’t radiate any immediate danger. It was like a peaceful tiger sitting quietly... but if anyone dared poke it, it would turn into their worst nightmare.
That presence was another fragment of an immortal soul. Irana had brought it using her second supreme artifact. It was a very unique item that created a completely undetectable space. Not even another immortal could sense it—that’s how she managed to bring it into this mission.
She could only use it as an absolute last resort, since this fragmented entity also had no real power. It was something left with her in case those demonic immortals made a move. This way, the fragment could pop out and threaten them, as long as it stayed within the rules set by the Sovereigns of the universe.
If the demons had gotten the seeds like they were supposed to, nothing would’ve happened, and this trump card would’ve been useless. But... Darian forcing those two to sacrifice themselves and summon the immortals had completely flipped the game.
"YOU! HOW DARE YOU GET INVOLVED IN OUR BUSINESS?!" the red silhouette roared, furious.
Even the blue one—who always seemed calmer—had murder in his eyes now. It was like the two of them were staring at their lifelong sworn enemy.
The golden silhouette answered calmly, "Your business? Pretty sure you two are the ones sticking your filthy hands into this special mission for these young ones. This human earned this challenge together with his allies. And now you’re threatening him? You think you’re above everyone else in this world?"
"You fucking traitor! You think you can escape us forever?!" the blue silhouette growled, shaking the entire place.
The golden figure didn’t even flinch. "Me? You both know damn well where to find me. Why haven’t you come yet? I might be a demon... but I don’t roll with bastards like you."
"You... just wait... the moment we fully break out, there won’t be a single place left in this world for you to hide..." the red silhouette spat every word like poison, like he couldn’t stand breathing the same air as him.
"You’re just a bunch of loud cowards," the golden figure muttered coldly. Then he turned, his crimson eyes locking onto Darian. "Kid... my alliance protects your race and a few others in this universe. The little one, Irana, told me everything. From now on, we’ll extend our protection to your galaxy too. They won’t be able to step in or pull any shady crap."
"ARE YOU REALLY ASKING FOR TOTAL WAR AGAINST THE DEMONS?!" the red silhouette roared like thunder.
He scoffed, "What a bunch of noise. According to the rules set by the Sovereigns, it’s forbidden to attack or interfere directly with the Spiritual Guardians of this universe. If you even try to step near his galaxy, we have full permission to join forces and go all in—to kill without mercy. You’re the ones asking for this."
"Don’t think this won’t cost you. We’ve put a lot on the line, along with all our allies. Everyone’s gonna be pissed," the blue one said coldly.
"Yeah, whatever. I’m making it official. This human, Darian, is under my protection. If any of you dare move against him directly... then be ready."
His words rang out like thunder, backed by an overwhelming golden aura that spread across the entire place.
The two demonic silhouettes stared at him for two full seconds. Then... they turned to Darian, eyes burning with pure murderous intent. But... they said nothing.
In the next second... their immortal soul fragments burned away completely. Gone.
"..."
It felt like a mountain had been lifted off everyone’s shoulders.
The golden silhouette turned to Irana. "I’ve got nothing left. I’ll move the pieces quickly." The moment he finished speaking... he vanished too.
In the end... that whole mess had just been a screaming match between three terrifying immortal demons. None of them had any real power left.
Everything disappeared. The only things remaining were two wills... barely breathing, on their last legs.
The two Phoenixes could barely believe it. Relief washed over them. They turned to Darian.
The ice Phoenix murmured, "Thank you... I hope I can repay this debt one day."
He shook his head. "You helped me too. This was my choice."
The moment he finished speaking... the two primordial seeds fully fused with his body. The whole place trembled.
The fire Phoenix turned to the natives. "We’re going to disappear forever now. Every bit of evil across these two universes... was our fault. So now... enjoy this peace properly. Remember our words... and pass them to the next generations. Everything depends on that."
They swallowed hard, fists clenched tight.
"To the heavens... everyone is the same. No one’s better than anyone else. You all must build a safe place together. If you start killing each other again... you’ll build karma against this world. And you won’t get this kind of luck twice."
All the natives were kneeling, tears running down their faces. Those statues that existed in both universes... where everyone prayed and received their blessings...
Now... they’d be alone.
"Don’t be so dramatic. A universe can give birth to other Primordial Beasts... if that’s its fate. Who knows, maybe one day... we’ll come back," the ice Phoenix said softly. And mid-sentence... her entire existence faded away.
The two of them... were gone. Forever.
In that exact moment, everyone felt space itself distort.
Within seconds, they found themselves standing in a massive plaza, with a giant statue in the center. Everyone from the trial was teleported back.
Darian felt the stars inside his body tremble. The seeds were fusing with them quickly. He glanced around. The special mission would last until someone fully absorbed the seed. In just a few more minutes, once the assimilation was done, everyone would be sent home.
Fast footsteps echoed nearby.
Irana ran straight over to Darian, her face dead serious.
"Darian... I can’t go into details now. For the moment, he’s gonna try to calm the demons down using his contacts. But if what happened here leaks out... demons are proud as hell. Things will get way, way worse."
Darian nodded. At the same time, his entire alliance rushed over to him.
The survivors of this special mission... were the Milky Way alliance, a third of Irana’s alliance, and around fifteen demons from planets number 8 and 9. Everyone else from the other planets... was gone. Buried forever.
The demons wouldn’t spread what happened. They’d been completely wiped out, and the few who survived were alive purely by dumb luck.
Irana turned to Udynes and Barod. "The elves and the Zroots... I know this won’t last forever. But you need to keep this under wraps for as long as you possibly can."
Both of them nodded quickly. Their planet’s existence depended on this. But with how many died in this mission... the other planets would go crazy. They’d pay anything for information on what really went down. There was no guarantee they could keep this quiet for long.
Darian spoke calmly, looking at the two of them. "Most of the Yin and Yang pearls ended up with you guys, right? Plus, you managed to absorb some of the essence too. You don’t need to share any of that with us. Split it equally with your people. That way, they’ll be satisfied and won’t rush to sell the info right away."
Irana nodded, adding, "Those two bastards probably aren’t crazy enough to make a move directly. But they’ll definitely start moving from the shadows... targeting Darian. If your planets start leaking rumors... their eyes will turn on you too."
The two swallowed hard. Irana made the danger clear, but people were greedy... and dumb enough to sell information thinking nothing bad would happen.
Still... the benefits Darian was giving everyone would buy time—and everyone’s goodwill. Honestly, they should’ve given 80% of everything to him since they only survived thanks to him. But now... 90% of it would be split between them. They were probably never gonna make this much in their entire lives again.
The pearls were insanely valuable. Even just selling their share, each of them could probably buy a lower-tier supreme artifact if they managed to strike a deal with a higher-ranked planet. The essences weren’t as many... but still enough to give them a huge power boost.
"Elves are honest. Don’t worry. I’ll gather everyone and the planet leaders. We’ll do whatever it takes to avoid the worst," Udynes said seriously.
"Zroots don’t like getting involved in politics and dumb shit. Everyone will just mind their own business," Barod added right after.
Irana and Darian nodded... but nobody was naive. Sooner or later, the entire universe would know. But if it leaked right now, in the heat of everything, it would be a recipe for absolute chaos.
*Crack*
The Yin and Yang stars inside Darian cracked again, with a muffled sound.
Then... they started rebuilding themselves.
"We’ll see each other real soon," Irana said with a small smile. Darian nodded back.
Less than ten seconds later... every Spiritual Guardian felt their consciousness getting hazy. Darian had officially absorbed both seeds. The special mission... was over.
Then, all the natives watched as those invaders were wrapped in a celestial blue light... and just like that... they all vanished.
