Dark Berserker: Rise of the Forgotten Progenitor-Chapter 17: Step sisters; Anna and Shelia
Chapter 17: Step sisters; Anna and Shelia
His bones quaked, but his persistence was unending. "So you admit to being a Dark Lord, then." Her sonorous tone echoed. To Cristian's dismay, she did not stop her spell and in a matter of seconds, it would be completed.
He gritted his teeth and touched his gloves, even though he might not be able to kill her. He had faith his affinity would leave permanent damage.
The tension rose drastically as they were both ready to collide. However, a melodious voice broke the tension.
Causing both Cristian and the blue-haired woman to turn. A golden-haired lady, clad in a pristine white robe, walked into the scene.
Her golden eyes shone with innocence, a woman who stood away from the impurities of the world. Her braided golden hair had a flower at the end.
The peaceful allure in her voice soothed Cristian's heart. She waved her hands. The diagram dispersed, and he felt free.
She bowed and clasped her palms. "I apologize for my sister's actions… but it's not proper to stare at a naked lady who is not your wife."
Cristian's eyes flashed, and his lips rose. Her delicate face and slender frame would drive countless warriors on a mission to stay by her side and protect her until their last breath.
"I apologize," he said, not to the blue-haired woman but to the golden-haired woman. An enchanting smile graced her red lips and cute dimples appeared on her cheeks.
"But this pervert had the audacity to stare even when I caught him. His lecherous thoughts knew no bounds!" the blue-haired woman retorted.
"Shelia, stop it! He's the warrior that was sent to help us." Anna; the golden-haired girl scolded the blue-haired woman with a reproachful tone.
Cristian felt both amused and bewildered. The golden-haired girl looked much younger than Sheila. Both their faces and their assets said it all. And how did he end up as some proclaimed warrior?
Sheila stared at him with shocked eyes. Her gaze flickered and lit up. Seeing that light, Cristian knew she had found something to use against him.
"This pervert is no warrior. Have you ever seen a warrior without his armor and, most importantly, his weapon?!"
Her words made Anna frown and Cristian, who was about to use this to his advantage, felt furious. 'When have I offended this lady?' he queried internally and the image of her nice, round buttocks flashed before his eyes.
It turned out she wasn't as calm as he thought. "I lost my equipment because I had to escape from a monster. My amour would have made me drown. Besides, I don't think you can do any better against Medusa."
The moment they heard that name, both girls became stunned. "Y.. you met Medusa and survived!" Sheila exclaimed with wide eyes.
"I did, and I sustained injuries," Cristian added before Sheila would find something else that might be asking for evidence.
Ten minutes later, Cristian came out of the forest along with two beauties. He enjoyed chatting with the innocent Anna and Ignored Shelia, who still kept an eye on him.
Her robe hugged her soft curves, highlighting the tempting softness underneath. Shelia's voluptuous shape could draw the primal desire of many men. "Your gloves look beautiful, an exquisite work. The enchanter must be a rare talent." Anna's voice brought his attention back to her.
"He is and thanks for the compliment, I would assure that he knows a beauty commends his work."
Her flushed cheeks almost prompted him to have a pinch, but he resisted the urge and admired her refined elegance.
He could hear Sheila snort and he turned, his emerald eyes glowed [Eyes of truth and mind, activated.]
"A beauty who has an equally refined and gorgeous sister." His class skill made those words which should have aggravated her cause a different reaction.
Her cheeks became ruddy whilst she pouted. Her cute looks had no semblance to the woman who aimed to kill him ten minutes ago.
He wanted to try inspecting them, but he feared they could notice it. That would throw the image he had built in these ten minutes.
Cristian did not know he could speak in such a way and it was quite smooth. His language back on earth might rub the girls the wrong way, so he took the safer route.
While he felt a blockage when he tried to manipulate her thoughts, to gain such a reaction made him feel giddy.
Such an ability, it felt so overpowered, but his level limited its capability. However, while it worked on Sheila, he couldn't get past the barrier around Anna.
She turned out to be a powerhouse. "Hump, I've met men like you. All you seek is to bed me." Shelia came back to her senses and scoffed. She had no idea Cristian had tampered with her thoughts.
"Then would you love to be treated with disgust and contempt?" he shot her a glance and saw her expression change.
Anna covered her mouth and giggled. She had never seen her sister this flustered and speechless before.
Usually, she trashed men with none being able to stand up to her. Cristian had successfully woven his way into both girls' hearts and left a good image. Although he wasn't sure about Sheila.
He felt troubled because the girls wanted him to fight something that they couldn't handle. He must have been mistaken to be some warrior because he possessed the weakest aura and Cristian was also bewildered as both girls had not cast inspection on him.
'Maybe people find it disrespectful,' he mused. Well, an individual's identity would be revealed in the status so many would not like the feeling of being seen through by strangers.
"We're here," Anna's bubbly tone snapped his thoughts. A tall wooden wall made of thick trunks stood in the distance.
He could see flames burning at the light post and the silhouettes of soldiers patrolling. Few people dressed in dirty clothes with farming tools made their way through the gates.
"This is Darkston. It's much smaller than I expected," Cristian said out loud, causing both Anna and Shelia to stare at his sculpted face.
"You're from a far-away city, it seems. The Dark Wolf Lord has been terrorizing us for two years now. Many have fled, but those whose livelihood is here, stayed." Anna explained in a troubled tone.
"Then why did you stay? It should not be a problem for both of you to leave."
"It's not, but this is our birth land. We can't just run away and let a dark lord ravage it." Sheila's firm tone rang, and Cristian exhaled.
"Then why haven't you sought help from neighboring towns?" as those words left his lips, the air stilled.
Hatred flashed in both girls' eyes. "Our chief has done all he could, but none of them agreed to help. Those cruel bastards want both sides to suffer harm and they would swoop in to pick the spoils."
Sheila's words dripped with anger and hatred.
In all this, Cristian realized something. If they could invite a warrior from far away then, there must be an alluring reward.
A warrior would not do charity work. He could see lots of gains from this. This dark lord must be some kind of dungeon lord and dungeons have rewards.
This might be a chance to get a suitable weapon since Lia warned him against using his powers in public.
"The priestess is back!" a booming voice, probably from a guard, echoed.
