Dark Lord Seduction System: Taming Wives, Daughters, Aunts, and CEOs-Chapter 39: My Main Character Moment 2
Chapter 39: My Main Character Moment 2
"Peter," she said, and her voice had enough authority to make nearby conversations pause, "you’re eating actual garbage."
Before I could even process what was happening, she swept my cafeteria tray away and replaced it with what looked like a gourmet meal from some place that probably requires reservations and knowledge of which fork to use for what.
"We’re going somewhere after school," she continued, not bothering to lower her voice or pretend this is a private conversation. "I’ll pick you up at your locker. 3:30 sharp."
Tommy and Connor were staring at this interaction like they were witnessing aliens land and offer them a ride to Jupiter. The tables around us had gone completely silent, everyone straining to catch every word of whatever the hell was happening right now.
"Uh, yeah, okay," I managed, because apparently my brain had decided to take a coffee break right when I needed it most.
’Real smooth, Peter. Nothing says "confident boyfriend material" like sounding like you’ve never spoken to a human before.’
Madison leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to my forehead—casual, possessive, like marking territory—and the sound of twenty different phones taking pictures was immediately audible.
"Good boy," she murmured, just loud enough for the nearby tables to hear. "Don’t be late."
Then she was gone, walking away with the same queenly confidence she’d arrived with, leaving behind a cafeteria full of stunned silence and about two hundred questions nobody could answer.
Tommy was the first one to find his voice. "Dude," he said, sounding slightly strangled, "what the actual fuck just happened?"
That was my girlfriend making sure everyone knows exactly who I belong to now. Which she is definitely going to pay for!
Connor already had his phone out, probably live-tweeting this moment for his three followers. "This is absolutely unhinged," he muttered, typing like his life depended on it. "Madison Torres just basically pissed on you to mark her territory in front of the whole school."
Yeah, and honestly? I’m as mad about it.
From across the cafeteria, I could see Jack Morrison sitting with his usual crew of testosterone-fueled morons, and his face looked like he was trying to solve calculus with his feelings. He was staring at me like I’d just broken several laws of physics.
He was like a golden boy’s trying to figure out how his former punching bag suddenly upgraded to dating royalty. Good fucking luck with that math, Jack.
Sofia was sitting next to him, and she kept shooting glances between Jack and me with this expression like she’s watching a really interesting tennis match.
Even Jack’s girlfriend is curious about my sudden social evolution. This school year just got a lot more entertaining.
The whispers started immediately—this low buzz of conversation as everyone tried to process the social earthquake that had just rearranged the cafeteria hierarchy:
"Did Madison Torres seriously just..."
"Peter Carter? Are you fucking kidding me?"
"How does the weird kid suddenly..."
"Maybe his family’s secretly loaded..."
"Or maybe she’s having a mental breakdown..."
Let them theorize. They’ll never guess the truth involves supernatural powers and cosmic missions to fight sexual frustration.
Tommy was still looking at me like I’d grown wings and started speaking ancient Greek. "Pete, I need you to break this down for me. Because from where I’m sitting, it looks like Madison Torres just publicly claimed ownership of your entire existence and upgraded your social status by about fifteen levels."
That’s... actually a disturbing pretty accurate summary of what just happened.
"Maybe she’s into me," I offered, which was probably the biggest understatement since someone called World War II "a minor disagreement."
"Maybe she’s into you?" Connor echoed, staring at me like I’d completely lost my mind. "Bro, Madison Torres just treated you like her personal property in front of half the school. That wasn’t ’being into someone’—that was full ownership declaration."
And honestly? Being owned by Madison Torres doesn’t sound like the worst thing that could happen to me but the worst she’d done today. I wasn’t a simp much less a a toy to be claimed publicly.
The rest of lunch was just me fielding questions I couldn’t answer and trying to act like my entire world hadn’t just gotten flipped upside down by a girl who apparently has zero interest in keeping our relationship lowkey.
Madison Torres just declared war on my anonymity, and I’m pretty sure I’m not going to love being a casualty in this particular conflict.

Just as the final bell rang for lunch, my phone buzzed with a text that made my blood run cold and hot at the same time.
Madison: Come to the library. Back section. Nobody will be there. Now.
Another ping followed immediately:
Madison: Bring the version of you that’s pissed off at me.
I stared at the screen, my jaw clenching hard enough to crack teeth.
So, she’s not going to pretend it didn’t happen. She knew what she was doing and that it was going to make me mad.
That fucking kiss.
In front of everyone.
Calling me a "good boy" like I’m her trained pet instead of her boyfriend.
Like she wanted the entire school to witness her claiming ownership of Peter Carter.
She treated me like her property, and now she wants to "talk" in the one place where there are no witnesses? No cameras, no eyes, just silence and whatever game she’s playing?
Perfect.
I didn’t respond. I just stood up and walked out of the cafeteria, my footsteps steady but my mind dark as hell. Madison Torres was about to learn that there are consequences for treating your boyfriend like a possession you can show off to boost your social status.
Time for her to meet the version of me that doesn’t take shit from anyone, even rich girls with daddy issues.
