Chapter 4517 - 3601 Edge of Tomorrow (10)
The car cruised along the highways of Gotham, with soothing jazz music playing from the radio. Shiller pressed the button on the radio, and after a brief static, the voice of the news anchor came through:
"The protest on Diamond Street continues, with over 2,000 employees from 18 companies participating. Calls for the Justice League to show up and fulfill their duties as superheroes have grown louder, but there's still no news from any Justice League members. Please stay tuned to our station for further updates..."
Shiller frowned slightly and pressed the button again, switching to another channel.
"Recently, a software known as 'Super Butler Brainiac' has become popular across major mobile app markets and browsers. Users claim that it's a masterpiece that helps people in various fields to complete work flawlessly. Let's hear opinions from related professionals..."

"Brainiac..."
Shiller turned off the radio.
The car stopped in front of a mansion on the left bank of the Gotham River. Shiller gazed up, seeing the traces of a surname erased from the wall. It seemed to be a legacy from the Twelve Families; with the fall of the gangster era, even names disappeared.
He stepped inside, surprised to find everyone already gathered.
Honestly, even though Arkham Band members in this universe basically returned to their homes with no one engaging in criminal activities anymore, seeing so many villains gathered at once was indeed visually shocking.
Mr. Freeze, Penguin Man, and Two-Face sat at a nearby table, flipping through thick legal documents; Killer Croc, Deathstroke, and Poison Ivy surrounded a pool table, playing billiards; Harley Quinn was mixing drinks; and the Joker was snoozing at the bar in front.
When Shiller entered, everyone simultaneously looked at him.
"You finally made it!" Harley put down the shaker and rushed out from behind the bar. Shiller assessed her, noticing her outfit differed from usual, more resembling Harley Quinn.
Although Harley came from the streets, she didn't stay on the streets long before going to school. Her dressing leaned toward the academic style, mostly shirts paired with long skirts, thick-soled Mary Jane shoes, carrying a crossbody bag or tote, occasionally wearing glasses, looking like a studious girl.
Today, she wore a sweatshirt with Gotham University's football team emblem, a black leather jacket, jeans, high-top boots; only dyeing her hair in two colors and tying it in pigtails short of mimicking Harley Quinn completely.
Moreover, she typically didn't wear makeup, at most applying some lipstick. But today, she had heavy European and American-style makeup, wore plenty of stuff on her ears, and even fake lip rings underneath her lips.
Despite differing from her usual style, it had to be said, Harley's appearance suited such heavy makeup, drawing immediate attention to her.
Then Shiller turned to look at Jack at the bar. His attire today was also quite different.
Previously, he'd either wear work clothes or casually put on a sweatshirt with a jacket. But today, he finally donned the Joker's classic outfit—a purple suit—his hair freshly bleached from roots to tips all in green, likely styled.
Most bizarre was his makeup, re-applied.
In this universe, the Joker's mouth wasn't cut open; the Joker's makeup was simply lipstick. Though his face was indeed bleached by some chemical, generally unkempt, merely looking odd from afar, not so terrifying.
Now, well, aside from the original bleaching, additional makeup was applied, lipstick re-applied, extending to his ear roots, appearing as a massive bloody grin from a distance.
Shiller turned his gaze to the other side. Pamela finally wore her uniform, though seemingly to avoid looking like a broccoli, her uniform differed from other universes' Poison Ivy, appearing less like superhero attire, more like a red carpet gown.
The upper part was deep V-necked, with the fabric woven from dark green vines and leaves extending upward from the hips to the waist, growing thicker branches and larger leaves at the chest, covering necessary parts, curling around the clavicle area with vine motifs.
The lower part consisted of nine trunks made from dark brown woody plants, spiraling downward clockwise from the waist, tapering into a fishtail shape, then opening up near the ankles, with mo few leaves above, the tips layered on layers of leaves. The entire lower design resembled a tree reflected on water.
Pamela also rarely put on makeup today, albeit quite hastily, merely brushing on some green eyeshadow with glitter, letting her hair down, seemingly trying to emulate other universes' Poison Ivy, but due to overly stable emotions, lacking a bit of madness and danger, unable to achieve success.
Deathstroke stayed with his usual getup, a black and yellow armor, equipped with weapons on his back and around his waist. But Shiller could see, he likely just maintained the armor, as the metal parts shone brightly, and the fabric had no wrinkles.
Killer Croc wore a rather fitted short-sleeve, displaying his scaly arm. Judging by the gloss, it's likely just waxed.
As for the trio of Penguin Man, Two-Face, and Mr. Freeze, they all wore suits: Penguin Man in dark green, Two-Face in deep brown stripes, and Mr. Freeze in dark blue, looking like a property agent meeting at first glance.
Seeing this, Shiller had a bad feeling. It seems that earning this half a million won't be easy.
"Professor! Come over quickly! You're the only one who hasn't undergone a makeover yet!" Harley's eyes were shining.
"What? What makeover?"
"Villains, of course, need to look like villains," Harley said. "We need our own unique image, and it must be fashionable! Come over quickly, let me see what needs to be changed!"
Shiller sighed inwardly, but seeing the light in Harley's eyes, he couldn't say no, so he walked over and sat down on the sofa.
If he wasn't mistaken, everyone present should have sat here before. Shiller could already imagine the chaos before his arrival.
Harley circled Shiller's single-seat sofa several times, frowning and her expression ever-changing.
"I really don't think there's anything worth changing about me. Besides, I'm a professor, and the school rules mandate that I must wear a suit, or I might not only get fined but also get fired."
"But you must have some feature of your own," Harley said.
Shiller genuinely thought for a moment and then said, "You all have your distinct features, but I'm just ordinary. Isn't that a feature in itself?"
"Seems to make some sense..."
"What sense!" Victor said rather discontentedly, "I said I don't like blue, but you insisted that Mr. Freeze should wear blue! Why does it make sense for him?"
"Because his code name is Professor," Pamela said. "You can't have a professor wearing a mascot costume, right?"
"Hmm, doesn't a professor also need a signature accessory?" Cobblepot raised the umbrella in his hand.
In this universe, Cobblepot isn't accustomed to carrying an umbrella; Harley must have borrowed from other universes' Penguin Man, since in most universes, Penguin Man's weapon is an umbrella, so she gave Cobblepot one.

"It seems like Shiller is the one who often carries an umbrella, right?" Harvey said, "I remember he had a black umbrella before..."
"No way, if the professor uses an umbrella, what does Penguin Man use?"
"Can't I just not use it?"
"No way! You've used it, you can't return it!"
Harley thought for a moment and then said, "Ah, right, Professor, I remember you had a Globe head, didn't you?"
"That was in a dream," Shiller said. "Such an effect can only be achieved in dreams. In the real world, I can't carry a Globe over my head."
"But that was really cool! Professor—"
Shiller sighed helplessly. Since he took their money, he should solve their problems, not to mention, he didn't want to reveal his true identity either. So he contacted Charles through the Doujie System.
The last segment of the brainwave had been erased by Hai'er, so he had to ask Charles for another. However, this request bewildered Charles a bit.
"You're saying that you want a brainwave that can automatically interfere with people's vision, making everyone who sees you think you have a Globe head?"
"Yes, but only when I need it."
"Alright, this shouldn't be too hard. Let me see..."
After a while, others were amazed to find that Shiller's head had turned into a Globe, and when you stare at it, the Globe slowly rotates.
"Awesome!" Harley exclaimed excitedly, "This is really cool! By the way, can you make my head become..."
"No," Shiller refused immediately, fearing that Harley's mind would come up with some shocking idea.
"Why not..." Harley said a bit dejectedly, "I wanted to turn my head into the Cat-king, it would definitely scare a lot of people! Or for Halloween, I could be a pumpkin head..."
But she quickly got excited again, saying, "Alright, now everyone has their unique image, we are the coolest villain organization in this universe!"
"From now on, everyone can only be called by their code name, not by real names, or you'll get fined."
"Next, we need to discuss how to remodel our base. Speak up, whatever equipment you want can be purchased, all expenses covered!"
