Debuff Master-Chapter 885
Chapter 885
Hamchi was perched atop the roof of the Proatine Kingdom’s royal palace while sipping butter-infused beer under the moonlight.
“Kyuu... It’s tough being a man...”
He gazed at the full moon shining brightly in the night sky with wide, glimmering eyes.
It was then.
“Uncle Hamchi!”
“Kyuing! Kyuing!”
Verdandi, together with her fairy dragon, soared toward Hamchi.
Having recently mastered the top-tier flying spell known as Wings of Light, Verdandi could now easily glide through the skies with complete freedom. This was a spell that even Level 299 Adventurers would not dare to attempt unless their class specialized in flight magic, yet she perfected it in mere months.
“Uncle Hamchiii!”
“Kyuuu! Welcome, my cute little niece! Come, sit right here!”
As always, Hamchi’s attitude toward Verdandi was warm and affectionate, as he was like a doting uncle to her.
“What are you doing up here, Uncle?” Verdandi asked after plopping down beside him and leaning against his soft fur.
Verdandi had always adored Hamchi. After all, he had always taken care of her by giving her piggyback rides around the palace and playing with her to make sure she never felt alone.
Moreover, she really loved the soft, fluffy fur that covered Hamchi’s back, so much so that she would often fall fast asleep without realizing it.
“I was just thinking about some things.”
“Is something troubling you, Uncle?”
“It’s nothing you need to worry about. Kyuu.”
Hamchi’s gaze drifted back to the moon, his large eyes reflecting the weight of his sorrowful thoughts.
“Promise me something, Verdandi. Never fall for a guy like your uncle. Kyuuu.”
“Why?”
“Your uncle is a bad person. Kyuu...”
“That’s not true! Uncle Hamchi is not a bad person! You are the kindest and coolest uncle in the world!” Verdandi exclaimed, shaking her head vigorously.
“That’s not true. Your uncle... once abandoned a woman. Kyuu...” Hamchi said, his ears dropping.
“Huh?”
“I was too scared to get married, so I ran away. It was a terrible thing to do...”
“You left her, Uncle?”
“That’s right. Kyuu... Back then, I cherished my freedom more than anything else, so I couldn’t stand the thought of marriage. I ran away, and I hurt her a lot.”
Hamchi’s ears drooped as if mirroring his voice, which was riddled with guilt and all sorts of emotions.
“I still feel sorry about it, but... I don’t know what to do. Kyuuu...”
“Uncle...” Verdandi clasped Hamchi’s paw tightly. Then, she said sternly, “Go apologize to that big sister!”
“Kyu?!”
“She will forgive you if you apologize sincerely!”
“I would do it in a heartbeat if only it were that simple... But it’s not... Kyuuu...”
“Why not? Is she already... married to someone else?”
“I have no idea. But the mere thought of facing her... terrifies me.”
“You have to muster the courage, uncle!”
Hamchi trembled and said, “But... What if I go to apologize and she—”
It was then.
“YOU LOWLIFE PIECE OF TRASHHH!” A shrill scream pierced the tranquil night sky.
“Kyuuu?!” Hamchi’s ears shot straight up.
Above them in the night sky, a pink[1] hamster riding atop Siegfried’s back was glaring at him.
“KYUUUUUUU!”
Hamchi froze and turned ghastly pale as if he were staring at a ghost in broad daylight.
The pink hamster was none other than the Queen of the Tyrant’s Forest.
It was then.
“YOU WRETCHED BASTAAARD! Kyuuuu!”
The Queen opened her mouth wide and unleashed a laser beam directly at Hamchi.
It was the same skill that Hamchi often used, and it flew toward him with incredible precision.

“OWNER PUUUNK! Kyaaaah!” Hamchi exploded with rage the moment he saw that Siegfried had brought with him the very fiancee whom he feared meeting.
Unfortunately, he had bigger problems right now, so getting angry was the last thing he had in mind. What he had to do now was to run for his life before it was too late.
Ziiiiiing!
The Queen's laser beam tore through the palace roof and mercilessly chased after Hamchi.
Meanwhile, Hamchi scampered for his life and ran as fast as he could.
Ding!
A title flashed above Siegfried’s head.
"I Am Backstabbing."
He had basically stabbed his closest friend, Hamchi, in the back without a shred of mercy by bringing the very fiancee whom he was afraid to see.
But did he feel guilty? Not at all.
In fact, he was enjoying himself right now.
“Hehehe!” Siegfried laughed with a smug grin while watching Hamchi scamper away for his life.
Hamchi had toned down a bit nowadays, but he wasn't like that in the beginning.
When they had just met, Hamchi was the epitome of arrogance and bravado. He would constantly boast about his masculinity and throw dirty jokes just to assert his dominance as the alpha male.
But now?
“Kyaaaaah! I’ll get you for this, owner punk!” Hamchi hurled curses at Siegfried while running for his life.
Masculinity? Alpha Male? Forget about those!
The sight of Hamchi fleeing from his fiancee who uncannily resembled him was about as far from macho as it could get. His current state was at least one million light years away from masculinity.
“Hehehe! Suffer, my friend. You’re fucked!”
Siegfried chuckled mischievously while thoroughly enjoying the sight before gracefully landing beside Verdandi, who was also watching the chaos.
“Father! Uncle Hamchi is in danger!” Verdandi cried out.
She looked clearly overwhelmed by everything happening, judging by how she was clinging to Siegfried’s leg.
“Aww, my sweet little girl,” Siegfried said, patting her head. Then, he gently lifted her into his arms and explained, “Hamchi needs to be taught a lesson right now.”
“Huh?”
“That big sister is very upset with him, so he deserves to be scolded a bit.”
“But what if Uncle Hamchi gets hurt?”
“Don’t worry, child. He won’t die from that.”
“Hmm...”
“Wouldn’t you like to see your Uncle Hamchi get married soon?”
“Yes! I would love to see him get married!”
Siegfried smiled gently—actually it was a sinister one, but he was just hiding it from his daughter—and said, “Then just watch and wait patiently. Sometimes, people fight because they love each other.”
“Really?”
“Of course!”
“Then, have you and mother ever fought because you love each other?”
“No, we have never fought. People who perfectly love each other have no reason to argue.”
“Wow!”
“So don’t worry about your mother and me, okay? We will never fight.”
“Yes! Yes! Yes!”
“So cute!”
Siegfried hugged Verdandi tightly while Hamchi was running for his life in the background.
***
“Huff! Huff! Huff!”
Hamchi ran and ran for his life, but he reached his limit before he could escape from the Queen of the Tyrant’s Forest. His legs grew heavier, and his pace slowed with every step as he had already reached his limits.
“Kyaaaah!”
On the other hand, the Queen only grew faster as she chased after Hamchi with terrifying fierceness.
Just then...
Thud, crash!
Hamchi tripped on a rock and tumbled to the ground.
“K... Kyuuu...?”
He hurried back to his feet but froze the moment he saw something horrifying.
“Kyuuuu?!”
The Queen of the Tyrant’s Forest stood towering above him and glaring down with murderous intent. She had her body enlarged, which made her look even more intimidating.
Without saying a word, the Queen rolled up her sleeves—or at least what looked like her sleeves—and clenched her fists threateningly.
Kwachik! Kwachik!
Her muscles bulged as if they were about to burst. Her muscles were so big that they would give even the Descendant of Supreme King Braum, Cesc, a run for his money.
“K-Kyuuu...?”
“It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Kyu?”
“O-Oh, yes! It’s been a while! Kyuuu!” Hamchi stammered. Then, sweat started pouring down his face as he continued, “Time sure has flown, but you’re still as beautiful as—”
Before he could finish—
Bam!
The Queen swung her massive fist straight at Hamchi.
“Kyaaaaah! Die! Die! You scumbag!”
“Kyuuuuuuu!”
Just like that, a merciless beating began.
“Kyuuu! I-I was wrong! Kyuuu! It hurts! Please! Spare me! O-Owner punk! Help me!”
Hamchi was subjected to a flurry of blows thrown by the Queen.
“Kyaaah! Die! Die! Die!”
The Queen showed no mercy, punching Hamchi over and over again.
Munch! Munch! Munch!
Meanwhile, Siegfried leisurely munched on some popcorn while enjoying the show. Of course, he dropped off Verdandi with Brunhilde so that she wouldn't witness the knuckle sandwich buffet.
“Whoa! That one looks like it will leave a mark,” Siegfried exclaimed while watching Hamchi get thoroughly pummeled.
It was then.
“Huh? Oh, wait. No, no, no, that’s going too far.”
Siegfried's eyes widened after seeing that the Queen was preparing to execute the Tombstone Piledriver on Hamchi.
This was a move where the victim would be flipped upside down, wedged between the executioner’s thighs, before being slammed head-first into the ground.
It could crush the victim's skull and perhaps even kill them instantly.
‘This is bad. I have to stop it now.’
Realizing that Hamchi’s life was really in danger, Siegfried decided to step in and intervene.
“Erm... Excuse me? That might be a bit too far, no?”
“Kyaaaah! Move before I—!”
“No,” Siegfried cut her off. Then, he turned serious and added, “Do you even realize the gravity of his sins? Are you just going to let him off the hook by killing him?”
“Kyu?!”
“You should make him suffer for a long time. Hohoho!”
“Hmm...”
The Queen glared at the unconscious Hamchi and pondered for a moment before finally nodding in agreement. “Kyuuu! That’s true! Killing him won’t satisfy my anger!”
“Hohoho! Exactly, right?”
Siegfried was eager to please his customer, so he rubbed his hands together vigorously as if he were trying to sand his fingerprints off.
“Now then... I am certain that Your Majesty must be hungry after all that, so may I serve you some premium nuts?”
“Kyuu? Did you just say premium nuts?”
“Absolutely. Only the best.”
“Good! Bring me those premium nuts! Kyuuu!”
“This way, please. Hohoho!”
With that, Siegfried escorted the Queen to the banquet hall while dragging the unconscious Hamchi with them.
***
Siegfried managed to hear her story about what happened in the past while serving premium nuts to the Queen.
To his surprise, Hamchi was revealed to be the son of the Spirit King, making him royalty in the spirit realm. Moreover, he was apparently a heartthrob who was incredibly popular among female spirits.
‘What the fuck? Do you expect me to believe this nonsense?’ Siegfried found it hard to believe the story one hundred percent.
Regardless of whether it was believable or not, Hamchi was a notorious troublemaker and was also infamous for having countless scandalous relationships with female spirits.
However, Siegfried still found it difficult to believe that Hamchi was some sort of casanova playboy.
“I’m also the Spirit King’s daughter[2]. That’s why I was supposed to marry that scoundrel. Kyuu.”
“And he ran away?”
“That’s right. Kyu. That bastard left a note the night before the wedding, saying he wanted to live a free life before fleeing to this realm.”
“Aha!”
“And that's how Mochi was abandoned by her fiance. Kyuuu...”
“Huh? Mochi?”
“My name is Mochi. Kyuuu.”
“Haha... Hahaha...”
It was a name that somehow fit perfectly with Hamchi for some reason.
‘If these two ever get married, would they be called the Chi-Chi couple?’ Siegfried wondered, entertained by his thoughts. Then, he decided to ask her another question, “So are you going to help me now?”
“Of course, I will help. Kyu,” Mochi replied with a nod. Then, she continued,” Mochi, the Great Spirit, always keeps her promises. Kyuuu.”
“That is truly admirable, Your Majesty. Hohoho!”
Siegfried flattered her endlessly even after obtaining her word that she would help him defeat the Red Knight of War. He couldn't afford to let her change her mind, as she was the only one capable of stopping an all-out war from breaking out all over the continent.
‘This is all thanks to you, Hamchi. You’re saving billions of people by sacrificing yourself. Hohoho!’ Siegfried glanced at the still-unconscious Hamchi with a grin.
To be fair, it would be impossible to stop the Red Knight of War if Hamchi weren't around. In other words, Hamchi would be remembered as a hero who had saved countless lives once this crisis was resolved.
Well, Hamchi would be living a miserable life after all this, but that was his problem.
‘All right. First, we take down the Red Knight of War. Then, I just need to figure out how to deal with the Blue Knight of Death.’
Siegfried decided to call it a day after that.
After all, he had to make sure he was in peak condition if he wanted to face the Red Knight of War.
1. Veela: This looks so cute in my imagination XDDDD ☜
2. Author hasn’t specified if there are numerous Spirit Kings like the Demon Lords, so I’m not sure if she and Hamchi have the same father or what o.o ☜
