Deities: Starting From Goblins-Chapter 937 - 535: The Flayed Spirit_2
Chapter 937: Chapter 535: The Flayed Spirit_2
Forget it, after hundreds of years, I’ve only taken a liking to this one disciple.
If it were someone else, I actually wouldn’t want to bother.
But since he is my own disciple, he’s sort of like family.
I am also worried that Logan might not get along with that young girl, so after a moment of hesitation, I still gave him a storage crystal.
“What is this?”
Logan looked at the item in his hand, full of confusion, as if not understanding.
Nineteen glanced at the crystal, a hint of an inexplicable emotion flashing in his eyes.
“Take it and show it to White Elizabeth, once your Artifact Spirit sees it, it will naturally understand, and the misunderstandings between you will naturally be resolved.”
Logan’s eyes lit up.
“It’s that magical, Master? You didn’t put some kind of spell to control hearts in there, did you?”
Nineteen’s mouth twitched, suddenly feeling an itch in his palm, wanting to smack someone.
Not to the point of hitting, but he did give Logan a kick into the void.
“You brat, spouting nonsense! This… is just the truth from back then.”
At this point, he stroked his beard and actually had a bit of a hero’s demeanor.
“Putting on an act.”
However, Logan already knew his true colors and wasn’t taken in by this pretense. Instead, he grumbled a complaint under his breath.
But after that, he still cherished the bottle and put it in his chest.
“Anyway, I got it. I will show the crystal to White Elizabeth.”
If the conflict really can’t be resolved eventually, only then will this method be necessary. Before that, he would rather try to ease the situation first.
After giving Logan the crystal, Nineteen brought up another matter.
“Right, disciple, now that you’ve already visited the Secret Land and obtained your fortune, we have no need to continue our stay in this town. It’s time to leave.”
He spoke as if moving from one town to the next was as casual as traveling, without a hint of nostalgia.
But it was impossible for Logan to be completely without attachment.
After all, he had stayed here for several months, met quite a few people, and experienced many events. Hearing his Master say they were leaving, Logan didn’t react right away, his feelings indescribable and complex.
Seeing him distracted, Nineteen stepped forward and gave him a hefty smack on the head.
“What are you daydreaming about? Didn’t you hear what I said?”
Logan rubbed his head with a slightly complaining look.
“No, just felt a bit emotional, that’s all. I’ve been here for a while after all. Alright, I know we have to leave. I’ll go back and get ready, and then we can take off.”
“Hmm, that’s good. But before we leave, we should enjoy ourselves here one last time. Good disciple, take your time getting ready; I’m going out to have some fun!”
I thought the Master had gotten somewhat serious, but he reverted to his old self so quickly.
Logan was somewhat taken aback, watching his carefree silhouette with no desire to call him back.
“Wait a second, Master, you don’t plan to make me handle all the arrangements alone, do you? You know how tricky this is?”
They had brought so much stuff with them, and they would take away just as much.
There was also the matter of various procedures, not to mention dealing with the City Lord.
This person saying he’d leave on a whim was a bit too unreliable.
Nineteen listened, but without turning his head, just waved his hand.
“No, you are my disciple, so of course, you should handle it alone. Could it be that you want me to help you with it? Go on, Logan, I believe in your abilities; none of this will be too difficult for you. As for me, my mantra is to enjoy the moment. We’re about to leave this town, and I certainly need to enjoy all its wine and games to my heart’s content!”
After saying so, he laughed heartily, patted his chest, and nonchalantly walked away.
Logan was stunned for a moment, then rolled his eyes with a look of disdain.
“Tsk, what a curse, to have found such an unreliable Master.”

But knowing he couldn’t count on Nineteen, he didn’t try to stop him. Since they were preparing to leave, it was time to start planning.
Logan stroked his chin thoughtfully, thinking of many things.
But among them, one thing suddenly surged to the forefront, as if telling him it was the first thing he had to do.
His gaze was calm and distant as he looked into the distance, a softness appeared in his eyes, indescribable.
Perhaps, before leaving, he should say goodbye to that person.
He arrived at Ellie’s house.
Ellie was drawing water, which was somewhat difficult for a young girl.
As she was halfway through, struggling with the weight, the rope in her hands suddenly slipped, about to fall and waste all the hard-earned water, when suddenly a large hand caught the rope.
The rope, which wouldn’t behave in her hands, became as obedient as a child in this person’s grasp.
The moment she saw this large hand, Ellie immediately recognized who it was.
She hurriedly looked to the side, and sure enough, it was Logan.
A bright sparkle burst from her eyes, showing her excitement.
“Benefactor, I knew it was you, thank you.”
Whenever she spoke with Logan, she couldn’t help but soften her tone.
“It’s nothing.”
Logan seemed not to notice this, simply helping her draw the water from the well before turning to ask her a question.
“Where should I put this water?”
Ellie, lost in thought at the time, might have continued daydreaming if not for Logan’s question interrupting her.
Realizing she had been staring at Logan absentmindedly, she felt a bit awkward, brushed her hair aside, and answered softly, feeling slightly embarrassed.
“Just pour it into that tank over there, Logan, I really can’t thank you enough, by the way, when did you come?”
As he helped her pour the water, Logan answered casually.
“I just got here.”
Ellie’s eyes darted around as she thought, then shyly extended an invitation.
“Logan, have you finished your tasks? I had wanted to invite you to stay before, to properly host you, but then, you had to leave for urgent matters. Can you stay today?”
Having missed one opportunity, Ellie didn’t want to miss a second chance.
Looking into the expectant eyes of the person in front of him, Logan hesitated for a moment before nodding.
“Okay.”
Since he was going to leave anyway, he might as well fulfill one of her small wishes before departing.
Ellie’s entire face lightened up, clearly overjoyed.
“That’s wonderful, Logan, I’m so happy you can stay.”
Saying so, she rushed back into the room to prepare.
“Young Master, please have a seat here, I’ll go and prepare some food right away. We don’t have much here, just some simple tea and food; please don’t mind, have some tea for now.”
Despite the coarse tea leaves, Logan didn’t mind.
At that moment, Ellie’s mother also came out.
“Mom, why are you out? Didn’t I ask you to rest in the room?”
Yet her mother waved her hand, shaking her head with a smile.
“I heard the benefactor is staying, which is a great joy for our family, how could I not come out and offer hospitality?”
Ellie didn’t agree.
“Mom, the benefactor has your daughter to attend to him; the most important thing for you is to recuperate and get better. That’s more important than anything else.”
It was then that Logan also stood up, chiming in at the right time.
“Exactly, old lady, you should go back to rest.”
Ellie’s mother looked at him with a relieved smile.
“Benefactor, thanks to the medicine you gave, my condition has improved a lot compared to before. Look, now I can even get out of bed and walk around. If I continued to just lie in bed, my condition might worsen. It’s better to come out, take a walk, breathe some fresh air, and also have a chat with you, benefactor, don’t you think so?”
Since she put it that way, it seemed Logan had no need to refuse.
Moreover, seeing the mother’s improved health, he felt quite relieved.
“Alright then, but madam, please don’t overexert yourself. Come and sit down. You don’t need to do anything special for me; knowing it comes from the heart is enough. Just prepare something simple, as I won’t eat if you tire yourselves out too much.”
Logan put this out there because he didn’t want the mother and daughter going to any extraordinary lengths just to host him for a meal.
