Delayed Passion: Miss Lynch's Unrequited Love-Chapter 94: She Knows Everything
Thea Lynch threw aside the clothes in her hand and immediately called Sean Bell back.
Perhaps as payback for her not picking up earlier, the phone rang for a long time and was only picked up right before it was about to automatically disconnect.
"Saw the message?" Sean Bell’s tone was carefree, lacking any of the urgency from when he had called her earlier.
Their roles reversed, as soon as the call connected, Thea Lynch impatiently demanded, "You told him, didn’t you?"
One takes responsibility for their own actions.
Had it been anyone else, they’d likely have lied here.
After all, admitting the truth would definitely anger Thea Lynch.
But Sean Bell’s thought process was always different; he insisted on being honest.
He openly admitted, "Yes."
"..." Thea Lynch furrowed her brow tightly, clutching the phone until her knuckles turned white, "Sean Bell!"
Her voice trembled with anger.
From the moment he called her, or even when he decided to tell Ian Preston, he was prepared to face Thea Lynch’s fury, already expecting her to be angry.
Sean Bell chuckled softly, "Why are you calling me? I was just giving you a heads-up as well."
Thea Lynch said nothing. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
She wasn’t feigning silence; she was thinking.
Really couldn’t decide which curse word to utter first.
After a while, Thea Lynch laughed, sarcastically saying, "Sean Bell, you’re unbelievable."
On the other end, Sean Bell’s expression changed slightly.
"I..." He moved his lips, instinctively wanting to explain, but stopped abruptly.
Explanations were never his style.
He had nothing to say.
Whether this was right or wrong, he disdained explanations.
Pressing his lips together, he said, "Forget it, it doesn’t matter."
"Third Brother is really willing to go all out for you. You’d never guess what he agreed to with me."
"Guess your ass!" Thea Lynch’s anger flared, "I’m truly impressed with you. If you intended to use my secrets in a deal, what were you doing back then?"
Why choose now to make my life difficult!
"Wasn’t it you who asked me to keep it a secret back then?" On hearing this, his tone still sounded somewhat innocent.
"And now? Didn’t I also say not to mention it to Ian Preston!"
Sean Bell didn’t really care, "Ah, I forgot."
"..."
This time, Thea Lynch couldn’t hold back and cursed aloud.
If Aaron Lynch were still around, he’d definitely drag her into the yard for some discipline, saying "Young ladies shouldn’t say such vulgar words."
Taking a deep breath, Thea Lynch abandoned arguing over right or wrong with Sean Bell.
He’s doing this deliberately, with no justification.
What kind of deal could he have made with Ian Preston?
Is there something Sean Bell lacks? As the sole heir of the Bell Family, receiving all the affection, he doesn’t need anything.
He simply wants to escalate the conflict, to enjoy a spectacle.
"There’s no need to be so upset. So what if Third Brother knows? This is something he’d find out sooner or later; do you really think you could keep it hidden?"
Sean Bell, self-righteous and unrepentant, even sounded somewhat triumphant.
Thea Lynch laughed at his remarks, "Should I thank Young Master Bell then?"
"No need for courtesy," he replied.
In the next second, Thea Lynch responded with a "cordial greeting."
"Initially, I didn’t plan to say anything. It was you who didn’t open the door, didn’t answer my calls, leaving me to walk with Third Brother. I had no choice."
He naturally shifted the blame to her, "You and Third Brother were both in the room and heard me knocking. But you didn’t open the door. I don’t know if it was your intention or Third Brother’s, but it doesn’t matter now."
There was a degree of vindictiveness in his actions.
Thea Lynch gritted her teeth, "Don’t just talk about not opening the door today; you’ll never get through my door for the rest of your life!"
"Is that so?" Sean Bell laughed, "But the place you’re staying now doesn’t seem to be your home, right? To be precise... it should be Third Brother’s home."
"..." Thea Lynch precisely caught the key point in his words, and a thought quickly came to her mind, "Is this place under Ian Preston’s name?"
"How would I know?" Sean Bell laughed.
He dangled the bait but refused to confirm.
"Third Brother should be arriving soon. Are you sure you want to keep talking to me?"
Upon hearing this, Thea Lynch didn’t hesitate and blocked the call, all in one swift motion.
Damn Sean Bell.
Thea Lynch, frustrated, ruffled her hair and called Silas Cheney.
"Hey, sis." Silas Cheney answered immediately, chuckling awkwardly, "So late... still not resting?"
Silas Cheney assumed Thea Lynch had called about him sending her on a business trip to Valiant.
Unexpectedly, Thea Lynch didn’t bother with pleasantries, bluntly asking, "This place I’m staying at now, it’s Ian Preston’s, isn’t it?"
"..."
That day at the dinner party, Thea Lynch mentioned she wanted to buy the place.
Regarding this matter, Third Brother had informed him in advance.
However, because both he and Thea Lynch had been busy these past few days, they planned to discuss the housing matter next month when they had time.
Recently, the property had been transferred to his name precisely to prevent any suspicion from Thea Lynch.
Speaking of which, he and Third Brother had thought things through very thoroughly.
But how did Thea Lynch find out???
Unable to pinpoint who leaked the news, Silas Cheney didn’t dare answer directly, playfully asking, "Where did you hear that from, treasure? It’s under my name."
"Don’t listen to others’ nonsense. Just a house, wouldn’t Fourth Brother need to lie to you about it?"
"What would be the point, right?"
Thea Lynch didn’t argue, "Really?"
"..." Silas Cheney gritted his teeth, "Yes, really."
"Okay, I got it." Thea Lynch’s tone suddenly calmed, "Sorry for disturbing Fourth Brother’s rest."
On hearing her tone shift, Silas Cheney knew something was amiss.
The doorbell rang from behind, and Thea Lynch glanced towards the door. She told Silas Cheney, "I’ll hang up now; Third Brother is here to see me."
"Ah..." Silas Cheney was momentarily taken aback, "Alright, alright."
The call ended, and Silas Cheney stared at the phone in his hand, deep in thought.
Why did it feel like the calm before a storm...
Plus, hadn’t Third Brother gone to see Thea Lynch earlier? Logically, he should be back by now?
Why... has he gone over again?
Filling his head with questions, Silas Cheney wasn’t sure what happened over there, but he had a sense that the situation might not be great.
Meanwhile, Thea Lynch set down her phone and sat on the sofa.
The doorbell rang for a while before stopping automatically.
Thea Lynch brewed a pot of tea, waiting silently.
Within two minutes, the sound of a password being entered came from outside.
As she lifted her head, the door was pushed open from outside, and Ian Preston’s figure once again appeared in her line of sight.
"Third Brother’s timing is perfect." Thea Lynch raised an eyebrow, "The tea is ready."
