Demi-human Girls Completion Manual-Chapter 1139 - 104: Sea 2
"The Moon..."
In the originally gentle moonlight, everything just now felt like an illusion. Fisher’s mind suddenly cleared, and he looked around to find himself seemingly standing on the small island in the East Ocean where he first saw Renie after leaving the Northern Realm, not far from the Pirate Harbor. Only this time, instead of noon, it looked like night.
The atmosphere around suddenly became warm, Fisher exhaled deeply and began to scrutinize the environment.
"Fisher... Fisher..."
The sound behind Fisher, a voice he was all too familiar with, echoed again.
He turned back in surprise and, as he expected, saw the lady in the black gauze dress he knew so well standing gracefully in the center of the island, bathed in the cold moonlight.
"Renie..."
For a moment, Fisher’s heart stirred, and his steps moved toward her uncontrollably. At this moment, he was certain the person before him was Renie, not Gui.
"Fisher... you haven’t gone out looking for other women in the past, have you?"
Renie, hands resting on her lower belly, smiled at Fisher and suddenly spoke, causing Fisher to freeze as if struck by lightning, unable to move forward.
He suspected Renie was holding a knife in her arms, ready to cut him down when he got close.
"No, Renie... that..."
Fisher’s face changed slightly, just as he was about to say something, the lady before him covered her mouth and giggled,
"Pfft, are guilty men all fools... or is women’s intuition just too accurate?"
"You..."
"She herself said in the future she can’t manage the past, what you do or don’t do, she doesn’t know at all, fool."
"..."
The figure of "Renie" gradually blurred, like moonlight blooming in a kaleidoscope, until Fisher was surrounded by the familiar "∞" symbol, only then did Renie return to her original form.
"Fisher, I am the Authority, the manifestation of her power, the essence that cannot be killed."
"Authority, huh."
Renie smiled as she sat beside Fisher on the white sandy ground, looking at the dark ocean ahead,
"Curious about what Authority is?"
"A little."
"Actually, it’s just a term used here, crafted like Chaos, only to describe the traits of certain existences. You can see it as a fitting description of the power of the Divine. The significance I represent is Infinity, embodying an immeasurable scale and endless repetition and cycle..."
No wonder Renie possesses such immense magic power, even though she concealed her true form as a witch, the nature that symbolizes her power still stamps itself on her.
"How about it, do you understand her better? She believes the less you know, the safer you are. She wishes she could stay beside you all her life as an ordinary bad witch, without threats, just living like ordinary people... but regrettably, it’s only her hope."
Fisher sat beside her and asked,
"What do you mean by knowing less is more dangerous?"
She turned her head, smiled, and shook her head,
"I don’t know either, after all, I am only an Authority. I am not her and don’t know her thoughts. I can only feel her attachment to you... And the reason you see me is entirely due to your special nature and the goal you want to achieve." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Special? I don’t feel it at all."
This was the second time Fisher had heard this term. The last time was just yesterday, from an Elf that looked exactly like Renie and the Authority in front of him.
She gave an example to describe his uniqueness, but Fisher didn’t truly feel it, it seemed like he was just more durable, nothing particularly special.
If he was truly that special, then why did he fall into madness when looking at the Soul Completion Manual?
The Authority, upon hearing this, did not say much. She only explained,
"Gold does not know it is gold; it shines only in the eyes of a greedy Gold Seeker. In the eyes of me and certain existences, you are like this."
Fisher squinted his eyes, vaguely guessing something, and speculated to her,
"Certain existences... do you mean Chaos?"
"Chaos sounds too derogatory, like Authority, it’s also a crafted term. If we must distinguish, I am also part of Chaos. Do you find me frightening?"
The Authority cutely winked at Fisher beside her, no wonder this fellow is Renie’s essence, even her character is quite similar.
Honest to say, he is getting a bit confused about these entities, Gui looks like this, Authority too, Renie even more so.
What’s this?
Dating one entity in three shares?
"No, you’re not frightening... But is that the key, besides, I’m here to advance to Mythical Rank, why are you telling me this?"
"It’s because you’re entering Mythical Rank that I need to tell you these things!"
Upon hearing Fisher say "not frightening," the Authority blushed and touched her cheek shyly. Yet, the next second, she glared with her purple eyes, reaching out to poke Fisher’s waist, but finding he wasn’t ticklish, withdrew her fingers in frustration.
She pouted, looking at the ocean ahead, and said,
"You don’t understand, Fisher, what I mean by certain existences, are ones you can’t imagine, I was once part of It."
"What does that mean?"
Fisher raised an eyebrow, looking at the Authority next to him, hoping for her explanation. She smiled slightly and reached her hand forward, slowly immersing it into the deep, dark ocean, cupping a scoop of seawater before her, then sang to Fisher,
"You are a happy fisherman living on a solitary island, possessing an innate yet unknowing precious talent."
"You don’t know, before you, the ocean’s depths and secrets lie fully revealed; you don’t know, before you, the ocean’s words and feelings are so intimately close."
"You scoop up a heat wave from the ocean, glimpsing the profound connection between you and the ocean, mistaking it for the entire ocean."
"You don’t know, before the tsunami arrives, the ocean has discovered you; you don’t know, before you knew the ocean, it had already discovered you."
"At this moment, you are standing on land."
"Either you walk toward the ocean, or the ocean will come to you."
In those poetic and lyrical words, the figure of the Authority became so vague and indescribable. Suddenly, he realized he had somehow returned to reality, his hand tightly clenched around the material Renie left behind, from which numerous rotating, cycle-like "∞" symbols continued to flow.
The densely packed, ant-like symbols quickly covered his entire right hand, but this wasn’t enough, from within these symbols on himself, an unsettling, unknown black substance started to seep out, seemingly with blinking eyes above it, making Fisher’s scalp tingle.
"Oh no..."
Fisher’s whole body went soft, the black mud seeping more, until its weight firmly pinned him in place, slowly wrapping him up.
"Hmm~ Hmm~ Hmm~"
In the distance, the camel humming a song seemed to notice the anomaly in this moment and trotted over. However, upon seeing Fisher’s miserable state, it froze in place, shocked.
"Camel..."
Fisher gritted his teeth and opened his mouth, but unexpectedly, the next moment, the camel pretended not to see him, turned away, hummed and quickly disappeared from Fisher’s sight.
As Fisher was covered by the black substance, his face darkened, and he kindly greeted the camel,
"Your mother..."
The next second, everything about him was completely enveloped in black.
