Demon Lord Management Sim Game-Chapter 152 152 – The Magic Scientists
The light on my arm solidified and turned into black armor. For the umpteenth time, the scientists were astonished by what they saw.
One of the scientists came forward and fixed his glasses. "How did this happen?"
"It's still in its early stages, so it can't accommodate one set of armor yet." Ayre continued her explanation. "Imagine how practical this thing would be if it could be produced in large quantities? We don't need a large storage area to store a lot of armor anymore."
"And imagine if we could store multiple armors and weapons in this thing. We can switch to equipment that matches our opponents on the fly." I removed the piece of armor and placed it on a nearby table. "For example, when we fought multi-elemental beasts. We can switch to elemental ice gear if the beast becomes a fire elemental."
"C-can I look at that?" the scientist with glasses asked nervously.
So, his curiosity finally overcame his fear, huh? 𝒇𝗿𝙚ℯ𝑤ℯ𝑏𝒏𝑜ѵe𝙡.c𝐨m
"Sure." I smiled again.
Slowly, he touched the armor and held his breath.
"It's made of Ragmonuk metal." Ayre approached that scientist.
The male scientist adjusted his glasses again, then lifted the armor. "This density, this weight…. This is indeed Ragmonuk metal…. But I've never seen it in armor form… Usually, it's obtained in weapon form; until now, we haven't been able to forge it into any other form."
"Well, I can easily change the form of this metal because I am the creator."
The scientist with glasses froze. "No… That can't be…." 𝐟𝙧ℯ𝑒𝒘𝐞𝒃𝗻𝒐ѵ𝘦𝑙.com
"But that's the reality." Ayre widened her smile. "That Ragmonuk Well? It was me who built it too. The undead caves? I also planned that. I have lived for more than five hundred years. I can show you how to make Ragmonuk metal if you don't believe me. Well, that doesn't mean I'm going to show you step by step, though. It's still a secret."
The scientist's mouth opened so wide I wanted to laugh. If a frog jumps there, maybe it will be swallowed by the scientist.
"Even Emily, who escorted you here, is a former keeper of the undead cave," I added. The scientist looked even more in shock.
The scientists continued to discuss among themselves, whether talking about the communication device, armor storage bracelet, or the demon chariot itself. Their faces were filled with awe and curiosity, completely different from just a moment ago.
I made the right decision to bring them here. They are real scientists.
However, a person with brown hair and sideburns distanced himself instead. He chose to look at the papers with blueprints on a table.
I went to that man. "You are interested in this, huh? Well, it is my own design. However, since the others are very busy, no one is working on it yet."
"Yeah, if I wasn't working on a remote communication device, I'd definitely take care of this." Bran joins us. "I find this really cool."
The blueprints depicted a device like a motorbike, but without wheels and had a curved front. To be honest, it looks more like a giant bullet cut vertically and can be ridden.
Basically, I just draw the concept and give notes. I don't understand anything about machines or magic, after all.
"So, this uses the systematics of the demon chariot for its propulsion, I believe?" The brown-haired scientist muttered. "This requires massive work. We have to find the right metal and a powerful energy collector. Not to mention we have to keep setting up the control method until a suitable one is found."
I could see the enthusiasm in his eyes. "What's your name?"
"I'm Nate, Nate Bates." He answered by continuing to stare at the blueprints.
"Okay, Nates." I tapped the man on the shoulder. "This project is yours. I will provide all the resources you ask for. I will also give you some assistants right away."
Bran scratched his hair. "Well, it can't be helped…." He found that Ayre was waving at him from beside the scientists. "Ah, I'll take my leave, my lord."
"I have a question, lord Vorn." Nate finally looks at me. "Are you going to use this on your flightless underlings?"
"No." I gave him a smile. "This is for me, actually. Well, if we can mass produce it, I'll give it to the others too, of course."
That man raised an eyebrow. "Why? You already have wings. Why do you still want something like this?"
"I just want more speed. My teleport skill can only be used once a day. And even then, only to certain places. Sometimes I need to get to a point quickly, you know?" I shrugged, reluctant to say my real reason. "So, can you really do it, champ?"
He nodded. "Thanks for the opportunity. I live alone and have no friends or family. So, I always focus on work. Unfortunately, the government forced me to create a magic weapon everyone knows can't be built. And here, I found something interesting."
"Are you not afraid of us?"
He looked at Ayre, who was explaining something to the scientists. "Well, to be honest, I'm still scared to this very second. However, I absolutely cannot turn down this opportunity."
I tapped his shoulder. "I'm sure you will be a great scientist here."
"Thanks, my lord." He bowed. "If you don't mind, I'd like to learn more about this blueprint."
"Of course." I smiled again. "However, it would be better if you rest first. We have prepared rooms for all of you, and warm food will be available soon."
"Once again, thank you so much."
He went back to studying the blueprints, and I walked back to Ayre.
Then, I found Lexi standing in the distance, holding something wrapped in black cloth. Her three scientific partners are trying to persuade her.
Instead of moving, the doctor was even more nervous.
"This is something extraordinary, Doc." The female scientist partner kept on persuading Lexi. "No one would dare argue with you here."
One of the other scientists added. "Come on, we might be punished by Lord Vorn if we don't do this."
Well, I wouldn't threaten to punish Lexi for something like this. I will use another way.
I approached the doctor, then put my mouth close to her ear. "Go, Doc. Tonight I will give you a special gift in bed. It will be a great memory."
Her eyes widened.
