By the time Alex blinked again, he was back, lying down on his bed as if he had never left. His injuries faded, his fatigue gone. And now, he still withheld all the energy he once had before going through that quest.

It was blatantly obvious that his body had completely healed after completing a quest. Not just his own, but this information also applies to Adoff.

Alex went to look at the time, and it was already 5:00 PM. He doesn’t remember that much time going by, even after he completed the quest.

Alex could’ve sworn it took him a maximum of one hour, which should make the current time about 2:30 PM.

’I guess time moves quicker while I’m doing the quest, doesn’t make much sense, but I’ll roll with it.’ Alex thought, lying back down on his bed

"Well, great job out there." Victor’s voice came back, "Job well done, completing the highest-ranked quest you could receive at your current rank on your first try, is a job well done indeed."

Alex smirked, "What did you think of my battle skills?" He asked.

"Honestly, I was asleep the entire time, so I couldn’t tell you." Victor added, leaving Alex’s face in shock, "But, hey, I conserved enough energy to keep me going one full day straight now, without resting."

Alex exhaled, slightly disappointed, but he didn’t care much, "Yeah, yeah, but now that I received these 100 coins and the 25 Demon points, it’s time to focus on them."

"Well then, let’s see what you’ll decide to do with the Demon points." Victor stated, "I’ll tell you if I agree with what you did or not..."

"I don’t need your opinion," Alex whispered, "Status."

It turns out those already colored in black circles don’t actually count as one Demon point; it’s only for show. But more so, a tutorial strategy for the user, because Alex had used up 5 Demon points for just 1 rank up, resetting with another black circle on the strength and agility bar.

Alex added no points to his charm bar because the academy is still one month away. So, for the current period, he didn’t need it because there were no individuals he needed to use his charms for. So, to begin, he’ll increase stats in relation to combat.

He was now a high-F to low E-rank, individually.

Alex got up, now moving on towards the marketplace.

Alex wanted to save the other 50 he now had, just in case of an emergency during a crucial moment.

But now, he wasn’t finished.

"Well, Victor, I don’t feel sleepy or hungry, and it’s still 5:00 PM. I say we go on more quests, what do you think?" Alex sneered, "I’m too eager to move on."

"Well, ladies first." Victor laughed.

Adoff joined in, "Hey, did you forget about me?" Alex looked down from his bed onto the floor, "I just shrunk to my original size. Do not forget about me!"

Alex sighed calmly, then looked away, "There has to be no way he’s older than us."

"What was that?!"

"Nothing."

Then, all three of them left off with a final laugh, almost like they had been family for many years now. And a very soft but joyful peace filled the room, one Alex never expected to have.
