Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau-Chapter 640 - 338: Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner (Second Update)
No matter who approaches, they can spot them first from the window.
Moreover, there are tall streetlight poles by the roadside, so even at night, the surroundings are clearly illuminated.
They can see outside, but people outside can’t see inside.
Perfect.
Lawrence Winters curled his lips, his seemingly delicate and boneless hands clasped together and flexed, loosening his muscles and bones.
A somewhat scruffy-looking man squatting in the distant field should be Edward Foster’s man, right...
Lawrence nonchalantly avoided looking and walked straight toward the dusty flat-roofed little brick house.
In front of the little brick house was a makeshift half-human-high straw fence and a wooden door with a hole in it.
The door wasn’t locked, merely ajar, with a common rural mutt standing on the other side, panting and looking up at her, gradually baring its mouthful of jagged sharp canine teeth.
Lawrence slipped through the crack in the half-open door before the mutt could bark, her left leg swiftly stretched out, and her toe kicked the mutt under the jaw.
The strength was just right, causing the dog to faint silently to the ground.
Lawrence continued inside, reached the doorway, and even knocked on the door.
The three people inside had just woken up, Brandon had just washed his face, intending to send the other two thugs to buy him breakfast.
He had arranged to be picked up at eight, and someone would drive him to a different area.
Upon hearing the knock, the three inside were stunned.
They exchanged glances, and Brandon said, "Big A, go open the door."
The man called Big A was taller, stretched lazily, stood up cursing, and walked unsteadily to the door, mumbling, "Who on earth comes visiting so early in the morning?"
He opened the door and saw a young person wearing a mask and sunglasses standing before him.
Big A was momentarily stunned, "Who are you? Did you knock at the wrong door?"
Lawrence didn’t answer his question but posed her own, "Are there three people living here? Where are the other two?"
Big A was immediately led by her, stepped aside, and said, "They’re inside, are you looking for them?"
Lawrence squinted her eyes and pushed her sunglasses up onto her baseball cap.
She spotted two other men inside, one slender man emanating a chilly aura, a feeling she recognized as one of her peers. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
All Heavenly Masters.
Lawrence was sure this was the "Mr. You" her mother mentioned.
Lawrence stepped inside, casually closed the door, and said, "... I’m looking for all of you."
Her gaze turned to Brandon, whose brows were gradually furrowing, she smiled and clapped her hands rhythmically, "Mr. You is quite impressive; I heard last night in the woods halfway up the mountain, you fought two people alone and seriously injured both a man and a woman?"
Brandon raised his eyebrows, "Who are you? I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Not too bad, he wasn’t following Lawrence’s lead.
"You don’t know what I’m talking about?" Lawrence stepped forward, standing in the center of the room.
The three inside immediately realized she meant business, quickly surrounding her, with Lawrence standing at the center of the triangle.
Lawrence wore a mask, keeping her appearance concealed, but from her body and voice, it was easy to tell she was a woman, making them amused.
Big A said sarcastically, "Oh? Are you here to avenge those two weaklings from yesterday? Tsk tsk, just a young girl. You probably don’t know our nicknames, yet you dare to barge in!"
Lawrence turned to him, smiling sweetly, "What are your nicknames?"
"Chicken Coop!" Big A said proudly, "Any chicken becomes feeble-legged when it gets here!"
Lawrence checked her watch; there were eighteen minutes and fifteen seconds left.
She looked up at Big A, and said lightly, "What a coincidence, my nickname means I’ll be having chicken tonight, with great fortune."
The words had just landed when Lawrence crouched, reached out, and lifted a broken-legged bamboo chair beside her, swinging it forcefully at Big A.
Big A instinctively sensed a gust of wind coming at him; although his brain knew he needed to dodge, his body wasn’t as agile.
Bang!
The broken-legged bamboo chair had been around for an unknown length of time, extremely hard, and it smashed onto his forehead. He saw stars dancing before him, then his vision went black, falling to the floor unconscious, like the mutt outside.
Beside Big A, Big B saw the unfavorable situation and quickly ran toward the door.
