The other important module that the armor possesses is the cloak, which can help soldiers blend into the environment. This too is very important because if soldiers can hide from an enemy, the odds of them preserving their lives will increase drastically.

Having made his decision, he took it down from the shelf and began wearing it. As he did so, he thought about the faults of the armor.

The armor is great, but it is not perfect. For starters, the force field is very weak. It is only at the D-rank. It is insignificant compared to the D-rank defense of his diamond physique.

This is the major reason why he was considering if he should get it. That and the fact that the force field is not free. It needs energy to run, and it can run out, which will make it useless.

That means to take full advantage of it, he needs to have energy stones on hand. These energy stones will be important for the usage of the force field and to use the cloak ability.

The cloak ability also uses energy. In fact, it uses more than the passive force field.

It requires a lot of energy for the force field to help blend into the environment, render him invisible to ordinary eyes, mask any sound he is making, hide his heat signature, hide his smell, and prevent his exhaled breath from alerting creatures sensitive to CO2.

The cloak does a lot of things, so it requires a lot of energy. The longer he uses it, the more energy it will consume.

Not only that, but the cloak works best if he is still. As long as he begins moving, it will become less effective and will consume more energy to work.

He doesn’t really trust the cloak, as it can’t escape from his senses, much less entities like Wrath and demigods. But it is better than having nothing, so it is still good.

With the armor worn, he was only one-sixth ready. He still had other things that he wanted to have.

He had already made up his mind about most of them. He just needs to find them and pick them up. So he looked over the rest of the equipment and weapons to identify his choice.

As these are the basic options, most of the weapons available were all at the D-rank. They couldn’t compare to what he is capable of naturally. But he picked the energy rifle and the magnetic railgun.

The former is an automatic assault rifle that shoots energy bullets. It can create bullets on the fly as long as he has energy stones. It is his weapon of choice for short-range attacks.

As for the railgun, it is a sniper rifle for long-range attacks. It also requires energy to shoot metallic bullets, but its energy usage is not as much as the energy rifle.

The third-to-last thing he picked was the Enhanced Vision And Protective Goggles. It will protect his eye and help him see better in all kinds of conditions, including nighttime.

The second to last thing he picked was hearing aids to enhance his hearing. With this and goggles, he will be able to see enemies that don’t have cloaking abilities like his. Everything that his armor helps him to hide, the goggles and hearing aids will help him to find in others.

The last thing he picked was combat boots. They were durable shoes with some sort of noise-canceling technology. They would do the job of protecting his feet very well and keep him relatively silent in most conditions. He will still need his cloak to eliminate all sounds completely.

With these six selections, he was done with his preparation. He wore them and walked to the door, which he opened and went through.

He found himself in an open metallic plane this time around.

There was a blue sky above his head that flickered occasionally to reveal the digital screen below. The ground was metallic, and there were drones flying about in the air. Discover exclusive tales on novelbuddy

Soldiers were coming out of doors in the building he was in and moving towards the colossal spacecraft in the distance.

This spacecraft is at the same destination as most drones. It was so big that it looked like a skyscraper on its side.

It is a rectangular cuboid object of gleaming metal and blinking lights. It had many moving sensors and rotating guns attached to it.

The guns were so many that they were enough to keep him staring for a long while. There was one in particular that took up the whole front of the spaceship and looked like a yawning maw.

This one was the largest gun. It looked like the muzzle of a gun, but way larger. In fact, it looked like it could swallow and eat enemies.

He could look at the guns all day. But there was so much for him to see. The sights and sounds of it all took his breath away.

He stood there standing and watching as flying drones and walking bots walked in and out of the spacecraft.

He didn’t stop looking until Wrath grinned at him and said, "Welcome to the Yggdrasil civilization."

Then she admonished him, "Now stop gawking like a country bumpkin and making us look bad. At this rate, everyone will know that you’re a noob without seeing your badge."

He began moving towards the spaceship, but he didn’t stop staring in wonder. If he doesn’t care about people thinking he is crazy because he talks to invisible people, he won’t care if they think he is a country bumpkin.

The truth is that he is a country bumpkin. He also doesn’t know what’s so bad about being a noob. After all, everyone started out as noobs too.

He said to Wrath, "I knew the Yggdrasil Civilization was powerful, but I didn’t think it was this powerful."

Wrath finally got her opportunity to be smug. She said, "The Yggdrasil civilization is a galactical civilization. They have a territory that spans light years. Of course they have to be very powerful."
