DESTINY GAMES-Chapter 226: World At War.
Actually, flying creatures are rare in this world compared to land creatures. But flying creatures had the advantage in traveling, so more flying creatures could reach the green star earlier compared to the animals that needed to walk.
The defenders of the world waited day and night for the enemy. They couldn’t do anything yet because the green star was intangible. It was as if it was in another space beyond them.
The only change to it was that it got bigger and brighter each day. Then one day, the green star solidified and then popped in a great flash of light.
This was during the day, yet the brightness made many creatures look away. For those who didn’t look away, they saw that the spherical green star became a bright white star.
Then the white star disappeared, leaving behind a great metal stone in its position. The defenders of the world felt both relief and fear that the enemy had finally showed itself.
They were relieved that they could finally attack and destroy the enemy. But they also felt fear because the enemy had stopped hiding. That meant the enemy was prepared to fight them.
The elven king present didn’t wait for the enemy to make a move first. He showed himself before his troops and rallied them for battle.
He was a great yellow giant. He was at least 10 meters tall. That was at least three stories tall.
He had a hair of yellow fire that reached beyond his back. He was muscular and bare-chested. He wore nothing as he stood in front of everyone.
He was completely naked, so his massive and highly defined muscles could be seen by everyone who could lay their eyes on him and see his true figure.
His eyes were bright white like twin torches of flame. His skin was smooth with only the barest cracks running through his body.
He was the definition of bright and handsome. His smile would make men and women blush. He could chase away winter and fear with his smile. But right now, he wasn’t smiling.
He was frowning. Then he was rising into the air.
He raised his hands to the sky and roared, "Attack!!!"
His great mighty shout rouses the fighting spirit in every creature that heard it. A fire was lit within them that would continue to burn until they died or their enemy was vanquished. They were willing to give it their all at this time to see the world saved.
Fifty million flying creatures of various sizes rose into the air after the great shout. They too roared and shouted as they flew into battle.
Some of these flying creatures carried other creatures into the air with them. As for the landed creatures, they could only wait on the ground for their enemies to reach them.
The elven king rose into the air to do battle too. His whole body began burning and glowing. He became a small red star of fire in the air.

He gripped his divine weapon tightly. It was a golden axe. The ax couldn’t be seen from outside the red star. But when the elven king attacked with it, the axe pushed out of the star briefly.

The axe could be seen during that brief moment too fast for the eye to see, but no one was looking at it. They were all looking at the great solar flare that burst forth from the surface of the red star.
The solar flare shot towards the great metal stone in the sky. This marked the start of the world war.

Within the spacecraft, the soldiers could see everything going on in the world. They saw the flying creatures rise to the sky and block out the light of the sun. Then they saw the sudden appearance of the red star.
This sight alone was enough to set Kelvin’s teeth on edge and cause his stomach to churn uneasily.
But then there was a sudden flash of light as a solar flare burst from the star and shot in his direction.
He actually had to step back to avoid the attack. He wasn’t the only one who did so. Every mortal did so in order to preserve their life.
It was an instinctive action to avoid danger. But it was already too late. The attack had reached them as soon as they noticed the sudden flash of light.
The sight of the solar flare bursting out from the star was just their brain still processing what they saw. What they saw had happened a long time ago. Stepping back was already too late.
The same is true for Kelvin, even though he tried to dodge earlier than the others. Fortunately, they had the spacecraft protecting them.
The force field around the spacecraft blocked the attack, so they weren’t turned into ashes. In fact, the spacecraft didn’t vibrate or shift after being struck by that attack.
The inner space of the spacecraft felt exactly the same. It looked as if the shadow of death that shrouded them a second ago was an illusion. But they knew it was not an illusion because they were treated to the sight of a nuclear weapon exploding up close.
Ajangu tsked in annoyance. He had been in this world for less than a second, but he was already annoyed.
He said to his commanders, "One of you should deal with this pipsqueak. He is costing me precious energy already."
The two demigods behind him looked at each other. They seemed to communicate silently. Then one of them took a step forward.
The demigod that took action passed through the open door and appeared in front of the elven king before Kelvin could blink his eyes.
The sight made his eyes nearly pop out of his skull. He also cursed. "Fuck."
Honestly, he is beginning to regret coming to the foreign battlefield. He hasn’t even left the spacecraft, and he almost died. He can very well imagine what could happen to him if he steps out of the spacecraft
