Destroying My Own World-Chapter 377 A diamond on a platinum plate.
Mykel stood up and approached Elestria who was looking at him in disbelief. He then wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her toward him with his cold gaze toward Beldathiel. Everyone was so confused as to what was going on, but nothing good would come the moment he was in that kind of mood.
"Only a fool who sacrificed themselves for those who aren't worth your life in comparison," Mykel looked at Elestria and didn't let her go. "I'm glad that you have decided to change, but if you think death is the way out to redeem yourself, you're just a coward," he put his hand under her chin as he stared into her eyes.
"Mykel, this is for the best..." Elestria said as she tried to make space between her and Mykel with her arms on his chest.
"For who? Me? Them? Or the people that barely contribute anything to the world. Killing a shepherd believing the sheep can live on their own, is that really what's in your mind right now?" Mykel asked with his eyebrows furrowed and looked at Elestria in disappointment.
"Then what do you want me to do? This whole situation isn't just about us here, but the fate of all humankind. I can't decide with their lives on the line," Elestria asked and showed her concern, fear, and anxiety.
Mykel chuckled softly as he showed off his gentle smile, putting Elestria a bit at ease.
"Zach, Javelin, Aston. Do you remember what I said back in the barrack?" Mykel looked at the three of them. "About burden and the easiest method to avoid responsibility?" He added.
"It's easier to speak your mind without giving thorough thoughts of the solution. If there's someone to blame, it's easier to point a finger at you," Zachary answered after he recalled what Mykel said back in the barracks.
Mykel looked at Elestria with his eyebrows raised, waiting for her to understand what he was trying to show her. She then realized what it meant, but she looked at him with a confused look not because she didn't understand but because it was quite the opposite.
"If you can't handle the burden, then I'll forcefully take it away from you," Mykel snapped his fingers and everyone collapsed to the ground. "Your path to redeem yourself is still long, Your Highness," he added as he slowly put Elestria down.
They couldn't breathe or move a muscle, but they still could hear Mykel's footsteps. Zachary was the only one who could lift his head a bit and saw Mykel approaching Beldathiel. Find more to read on novelbuddy
"It appears the one who should make the decision is incapable of giving an answer," Mykel said as he stood in front of Beldathiel. "Since I'm the only one left, it would be right if I make the decision for them, right?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Of course. I believe so too," Beldathiel smiled and found him intriguing.
"Then I will choose the second option," Mykel said without hesitation.
"Then my life is yours," Beldathiel slowly opened her arms and spread her wings, showing her vulnerability toward Mykel. "If one day we can meet again, I would love to have a long conversation with you," she said.
"We had a lot of time together, more than you know," Mykel responded as he put his hand on Beldathiel's chest. "We will see each other again, but it's unfortunate that you won't be there," he pointed out as he pierced Beldathiel's chest with his hand, pulling out her life essence.

The moment Beldathiel's body turned into ashes, the scenery shifted into a hellish nightmare. The beautiful buildings had turned into raging flames, the trees died, and the lake dried up and became a crater. The island turned into a dryland with white flames raging around them, but there was one thing that stayed as before, a temple in the far distance.
Everything was in fact just an illusion that Beldathiel created, but the illusion wasn't something that was unreal. The scenery they saw was the state of the world when it was on its glory day where all the sisters lived.
Mykel snapped his fingers and let everyone move again, and then he snapped his fingers one more time, creating a barrier to protect everyone. He then saw a woman with long silver hair, chained in the middle of the temple, sitting so weakly that she couldn't move her body.
"Mykel! What have you done?!" Elestria grabbed Mykel's suit and stared at him in disbelief.
Mykel grabbed the pocket watch that fell and put it in his pocket, and before he could say anything, he heard the sound of chains being released. He and the others looked at the woman, slowly getting up with her silver hair covering her face.
"Is that the eldest sister?" Javelin asked and her hands couldn't stop trembling in fear as she watched as a wing was spread open on the woman's back.
The woman was looking down at her hands and she slowly clenched them and the force she used to clench her fists was enough to make the temple crumble. She then looked over her left shoulder at where her silver wing was and how it was so shiny and majestic. She then wrapped her body around with her wing and the moment she spread her wing again, she was in shiny silver armor that fit with her body.
The woman pulled her hair back slowly and showed off her pale skin and her glowing silver eyes. She smirked when she saw Mykel and the others and then pulled her handleless sword, and then she swung her sword upward, creating a projectile attack that split the ground and the sky in half.
The projectile attack was so powerful that Mykel had to create a barrier in front of him to protect everyone. Unfortunately, those who were far from him were annihilated before they could realize it. They all died without feeling any pain and their bodies were disintegrated by the force.
A rift was created from it and then she went inside the rift, flying into the rift so fast that the sound broke and created a sonic boom that made everyone faint. When she came out of the rift, she was on Earth and looked at the words of the humans under her feet. She gripped the sword so tightly and swung it down, creating an invisible and soundless projectile attack.
The earth was cut in half in the blink of an eye, losing its magnetic field and gravity, making the atmosphere dispersed, sucking out the air. The extreme cold of outer space entered the earth while the extreme heat from the earth's core came out and burned everyone's skin while at the same time being frozen by cold as they suffocated with the lack of air in a matter of a few minutes.
Mykel appeared out of thin air and the first reaction was a grin of excitement since it had been a while since he had seen scenery like this. A being that could easily annihilate any living being in an instant, a being that he had been waiting for.
Luciel looked at Mykel and saw he was fine and unaffected by the catastrophic event. When she was about to fight him, suddenly the ambient and the sound of earth cracking disappeared. She looked around and saw everything was moving backward as if time was being rewound. She couldn't believe what she saw, and she never knew there was anyone who could manipulate not only time but also space where it didn't affect her.
"That's quite rude to suddenly come here and destroy everything in front of my eyes," Mykel said as the earth slowly fixed itself and the people that died had come back to life since the time had moved backward.
Luciel landed right in front of Mykel and she wasn't stupid enough to fight him, a being that could control the past and the future as he pleased.
"So Belda was right about you. You're with that mysterious entity," Luciel said as she put away the sword. "Why are you here? What for?" she asked as she walked closer toward Mykel without a single fear in her heart.
"I'll save the answer for later. Right now, let's make a short alliance," Mykel said as he stared into Luciel's silver eyes that looked like a diamond on a platinum plate. "Let these humans live and I will help you to kill those Gods. I won't get involved, but I will keep you alive until you achieve your goal," he suggested.
"What's the catch?" Luciel asked and stared back into Mykel's eyes where her face was right in front of his face.
"Make yourself strong enough so you can fight me with an equal footing," Mykel answered.
"An equal footing? With that kind of power you possess?" Luciel smirked with her eyebrows raised.
"This isn't my power, I'm just borrowing it from her," Mykel glanced over his shoulder where Aevia appeared from thin air. "I'm not going to use her power, I'll just fight you with only the strength I have right now," he pointed out as he looked at his right fist.
Aevia was standing right behind Mykel and wrapped her arms around his neck. Luciel looked at the woman and noticed the difference in power between her and Aevia. In comparison, she would be in the deepest ocean while Aevia was above in heaven where the distance could be infinite, an unreachable distance.
"Fine by me," Luciel said as she took a few steps back because she was terrified by Aevia's presence. "As long as you keep your word, I want a fair fight. If I win, what do I get?" she asked.
"You won't," Aevia said as she stared into Luciel's eyes, making Luciel tremble. "You will never be able to win. But, if you think you can win, I'll give you a reward that you would never imagine," she pointed out.
"Crazy couple..." Luciel scoffed. "Looks like I have no choice, so I'll accept it," she looked at Mykel.
