422 All things must die...

“Haven’t you had enough fun?” Damon declared with a deadly pale face.

It was obvious his body was crumbling within and couldn’t withstand the power of a God. Since he entered Cecile’s mind, he hasn’t been able to use his aura to quickly his body because the Beyond would notice the death aura lingering around Cecile as long as he is still within this continent or even planet.

Damon watched with a cold look on his face as the family stood behind him and rubbles surrounded them. His cold eyes were pinned on the lone figure standing over a hundred meters away who was also sizing him up.

It seemed like the battle between these two was coming to an end. It was more like a spar than an actual battle but it was enough to let these two know the possible outcomes after regaining their full strengths.

“You will lose if we fight alone... If you bring the other half I will lose” Damon said with a deep sigh but Alex seemed to treat his words like trash. 𝘧𝐫𝑒𝗲𝑤ℯ𝚋𝐧૦𝘃𝒆l. c𝚘𝓂

“Alex Briggs is inferior to no one... Have you ever heard of those words?” Alex said with a raised eyebrow while causally raising his hand.

“Last time I checked it’s Damon Ross is inferior to no one,” Damon said with a deep frown.

Heh!

Cocky!

.....

“Let me show you, the strength I used to conquer my universe,” Alex said as his already pitch-black eyes seemed to get darker while his eyes seemed sunken.

His body shivered as he casually moved his hand and gestured at Damon to approach.

This is the power of God!

[Gravity core: Black hole!]

Buzzzzz!

Damon’s face darkened as he watched the enemy clasp his hand together and when he slowly opened his hands he was met with a spinning black hole the size of a fist.

Swoosh!

Everything around Damon began racing toward the lone figure ahead creating powerful shockwaves but even within all of this Damon remained unmoved and the family behind were safe but everything else in the city would be destroyed if this person is allowed to continue.

But he lacked the means to stop it.

He lacked the means to harm this man, not because he was weaker but because he wouldn’t dare show his true power here and his body was already on the verge of crumbling.

Boom!

Boom!

With each item, regardless of its size consumed, Damon could feel the black hole get stronger. In just a minute after use, the black hole was the size of a man, practically the same size as Alex.

The suction force had gotten even stronger and now, Damon could feel his feet being dragged toward the black hole.

Blegh!

After resisting it for so long, he felt even weaker and started coughing up blood while blood rolled down his nostrils.

Blink and Armanthos watching everything take place from above remained silent especially since they couldn’t get involved in this.

Helping Damon in this fight was a way of declaring the winner instantly which would be a big shame to Damon. They could only silently pray that there is some sort of interference or Damon may actually die.

“What the hell is this man and how does he have so many abilities within his arsenal? Even my master who has consumed numerous souls seems inferior to him” Blink was deeply worried but tried his best not to get involved unless Damon asked for help.

This battle was far more than a test of strength now, it was more like a test of pride.

At this rate, Damon knew he would die at the hands of the enemy. He felt all the energy he had accumulated so far from breaking the gates and consuming the souls of normal mortals being pulled out of him and surging into this man.

Lacing all his techniques with the devouring power, Damon felt greatly disadvantaged and until this final moment, he simply didn’t want to reveal his identity.

“You leave me no choice!” Damon said as his eyes turned pitch black and cracks began spreading across his eyes as a blood-red flash could be seen in his eyes.

Buzzz!

Alex paled as he finally felt it. It was like an illusion just created by peering into the eyes of the death mage as he prepared to release his true power. Alex felt like he was walking a narrow path, with three checkpoints. One showcased his starting point as a Mortal. He was currently standing on the spot labeled as God and ahead of him was the final checkpoint written as death.

There were no crossroads, no other path, nothing!

“Every living thing must die. Even gods cannot escape this fate. At most, they can only deny it!” Damon’s voice hissed in his ears and he quickly snapped out of the trance.

Bam!

Just as he opened his eyes, Alex was stunned to see Damon on one knee, bleeding profusely from his ears and nostrils, and by his sides were Rose and the Gravity spirit. It was a pale man completely covered in black robes and a hoody.

The Regional head and Guardian of the southern province.

“We felt his aura so we came as fast as we could. You did well holding him back for this Long” The gravity spirit shot Cecile a calm glance as he gave out rare praise.

When Damon attempted to check his ratings he was given a four-star rating and everyone felt it was somehow overrated or something. They refused to believe a kid with no background rose from zero to a hundred, just like the death mage did. The world cannot have two of such people or it may really be troublesome for them. Fortunately, this one is on their side and he has proven it. Going as far as to protect normal civilians. His naive actions were enough to throw all possible suspicions off him while making the other deities calm.

Even if he had the power of a four-star being, he still acted like a mortal so he can be manipulated or so they thought.
