Chapter 55: Ch 55 He is the real devil -2

Klaus simply looked at the broken man, then at the other captives in the viewing chamber, his voice calm and clear, carrying through the reinforced glass.

"The only choice you all have now is to choose the methods of your deaths." His words were delivered with an absolute, unyielding authority.

"First choice, Those who give information about their aides and reveal everything they know, every single detail, will have their lives taken painlessly. I promise. It will be swift, and it will be clean."

"Second choice, Those who only tell about their activities but refuse to name their aides or provide full details, they will be killed by a saw, slowly being cut like bread from every part of their body, piece by agonizing piece."

"Third choice, The rest who defy, who refuse to speak, will be half-burned. if they heal, they will be burned again.

Then, their insides will be caved out, and the procedure will continue until their bodies are utterly destroyed.

And throughout this entire procedure, your death will be prevented by the highest-grade healing potions, ensuring you experience every single moment of pain."

"But death is inevitable," Klaus concluded, his voice chillingly final.

"If you don’t choose, you will by default be placed in the third category."

"And people who make the second and third choice, after your death i promise i will torture your families the same way i’ve tortured this man"

"So choose. You have only three seconds after i start the count" klaus said

and almost instantaneously he started a count

"Three."

"Two."

"One."

almost all the suspected spies were on their knees begging as their bodies shaked.

----

Klaus walked out of the interrogation room, his form not bloodied as the criminal’s had been,

but his black skin-fit shirt was subtly stained with a few splashes of the man’s blood.

He moved with a quiet, deliberate stride, his face composed, though a cold intensity lingered in his eyes.

Every person in the observation room, the A-rank and S-rank officials who had witnessed the brutal interrogation, saw him in a different light now.

Their expressions ranged from shock and horror to grudging respect and a profound sense of awe. They had never seen such a methodical, terrifying display of information extraction.

Andre, William’s assistant, stood by the door, his own face pale.

He watched Klaus walk past, then turned to William, who had entered the observation room during the interrogation.

"Sir, isn’t he too violent?" Andre asked, his voice low, a hint of unease in his tone.

The methods Klaus employed were beyond standard Association protocols, even for the most hardened interrogators.

William simply replied, his gaze fixed on Klaus’s fading back as the young man exited the room.

"Isn’t it good, Andre? It just means I don’t have to teach him these things."

"what we thought as last resort, klaus went even beyond that in his torture and his adress to the rest of the captives worked surprisigly well, look at them begging us to record their statements"

William’s voice held a complex mix of satisfaction and something akin to sorrow.

He understood the necessity of such ruthlessness in their fight against the Watchers and their collaborators, but he also recognized the darkness it represented.

Just what did the child go through, William thought, looking at Klaus’s retreating figure. What kind of past creates such a terrifyingly efficient instrument of pain?

Klaus reached the mansion, the grand residence now his new home.

He walked directly to his assigned room, a spacious and luxurious chamber.

The lingering scent of blood and the faint echoes of the criminal’s screams still clung to him, not physically, but in his mind.

He decided to take a shower, a long, hot one, to wash away the grime and the lingering psychological residue of the interrogation.

The warm water cascaded over him, soothing his skin.

After his shower, feeling physically refreshed, he sat on the plush bed.

He decided to check his skills panel, He needed to assess his current capabilities and plan his next moves.

=====================================

Klaus looked at the panel with a sense of satisfaction. The sheer breadth and power of his abilities were immense.

He noted Poison Body (SSS), a skill he had absorbed from the Hydra after killing it in his SSS-rank assessment.

The skill, in crux, provided complete immunity to all poisons up to SSS-rank, making him impervious to most known toxins, and also granted him the ability to release poison from his own body, a potent offensive and defensive tool.

Despite his formidable arsenal, Klaus knew he had to acquire other skills, particularly those that wouldn’t immediately link him to the "Gate-Eater" identity.

Using his boss skills, like infernal monarch’s decree or Blizzard, could put him under suspicion if he used them outside in the public or even at the upcoming entrance.

So, he decided to dedicate his entire next week to setting himself up for the Guardian Academy, focusing on acquiring skills that wouldn’t betray his second identity.

since the world itself had given him an identity why would’nt he make use of it.

thinking in this direction he forst decided to start consolidating his powers.

"System, I want to fuse the subspaces using the fuse function. Is it possible?" Klaus asked.

He had accumulated eight distinct subspaces from the dungeons he had devoured (two Ice, three Fire, three Earth, and the one darkness).

[Affirmative, Host. 1,000 DP will be deducted for the fusion process.]

"Okay, do so," Klaus commanded.

In the very next moment, he felt a profound shift happening within himself.

It wasn’t a physical sensation, but a deep, internal reordering, as if vast mental landscapes were being reshaped and merged.

Soon, he felt apparent changes in his internal perception. His mental connection to all the individual realms was now converging, seamlessly integrating into a single, much larger and unified domain.

The distinct boundaries between the Ice World, Fire Worlds, and Earth Worlds dissolved, becoming a contiguous, vast personal dimension.

Klaus disappeared from his position on the bed. He reappeared instantly within the newly fused realm.

He noticed a lot of immediate changes in the terrain of the place. The distinct biomes of the absorbed dungeons were no longer separate, but blended into a single, massive, diverse landscape.

He opened his Omniscient Tracking (SSS) to see the newly generated map of his personal domain, and what he saw excited him very much.

To the north, the landscape was dominated by fiercely burning, fire mana-rich lands.

Vast stretches of burning vegetation, rivers of molten lava, and volcanic terrain stretched as far as his internal vision could perceive. The air here shimmered with intense heat.

To the east were lush, tropical forests and vast, murky swamps, directly related to the habitats of the Swamp Pythons, Lizard Men, and Orcs he had absorbed.

The air was humid, thick with the scent of damp earth and exotic flora.

To the west lay a very foggy, barren land, shrouded in perpetual gloom.

This merged seamlessly into the darkness-filled cemetery, a desolate landscape of crumbling gravestones, skeletal remains, and an oppressive aura of death.

The air here was chillingly cold and still.

And to the south were majestic, icy, snow-clad hills, their peaks piercing the sky, forming a vast, cold landscape of glaciers and frozen plains.

The air here was crisp and biting.

At the very center of this newly formed, diverse realm, a nexus point where all the biomes converged, was a small, unassuming hut.

Klaus stood right outside it, having materialized at the realm’s central point.

"Who built a hut here?" Klaus thought, quite surprised. He had never seen this structure before. It certainly wasn’t part of any dungeon he had absorbed.

Before Klaus could assume anything, the door to the small hut opened.

To his utter astonishment, the Necrolord, the SS-rank Lich boss he had just defeated and absorbed from the Undead Cemetery, now the size of a human, came scurrying out.

It moved with surprising speed, its skeletal form clad in tattered black robes, and ran directly towards Klaus.

"Mastaaaar!!!" the Necrolord shrieked, its reedy voice filled with absolute devotion.

It came to a halt directly in front of Klaus and then, without hesitation, dived towards Klaus’s feet, performing a complete, abject bow showing absolute submission.

Klaus was utterly confused.

He looked down at the skeletal figure bowing at his feet, then quickly asked the System.

"When did I summon him? I don’t remember activating Necrolord Summoning."

[The Host should check out the skill Necrolord Summoning (SS) for its specific effects]

"Okay, show me its effects," Klaus commanded, a flicker of intrigue in his mind.

--------------------------

Necrolord Summoning (SS):

The Lich, a powerful entity of pure darkness, is bound to you. As the bearer of the darkness element and an echo of authority over darkness, the Lich considers you its eternal monarch and master. It will follow you till the end of times, serving your will without question.

Effects:

Automatic Summon: The Lich is automatically summoned to you and It will reside within your shadows always accessible.

Revival: If the Lich dies in battle or is destroyed, it can be revived within 24 hours, regenerating its form and returning to your service.

Single Summon: Only one Lich can be summoned at a time.

Legion Call: The Lich can call forth its own legion of undead minions to aid its master at any time, drawing from the vast reserves of the Undead Cemetery’s essence.

Human Form: The Lich can take a human form if provided with a dead body to inhabit temporarily, allowing it to blend into mortal society.

-------------------------------

Klaus looked at the Lich after reading the effects of the skill.

"It seems useful," he commented, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.

An automatically summoned, loyal, self-reviving SS-rank subordinate was an invaluable asset.

Meanwhile, the Lich, still on its knees, continued bowing down to Klaus, chanting a stream of wired, nonsensical things like

"Oh, mighty Hydra Slayer!"

"Divine Beauty Charmer!"

and "Master of the Nine Realms!" and God knew whatever other crazy, sycophantic titles it had made up for Klaus.

Its devotion was absolute, bordering on fanatical.

"Okay, you can stop now," Klaus said, a slight exasperation in his voice.

"Yes, Master!" the Lich immediately stopped, standing on its two feet, its head still bowed in reverence.

"How do you know I killed a Hydra?" Klaus asked, genuinely curious. He hadn’t mentioned it to the Lich.

"I can talk to Master’s shadow," the Lich replied, its reedy voice surprisingly clear. "I can see what Master’s shadow sees. It tells me all."

"System, is it possible to talk to shadows?" Klaus asked internally, intrigued by this new ability.

[When your Darkness Affinity reaches the next tier, Host, you will be able to talk to shadows yourself. This is an inherent ability of high-level darkness practitioners.]

"Oh, so his darkness affinity is higher than mine?" Klaus acknowledged. He then looked at the Lich.

[no host, he has inherited the ability from his bloodline]

"wow, lucky guy" klaus though

"Wait for me here, okay? I will call you out when I need you."

"As you say, Master," the Lich said, bowing deeply again. It then turned and scurried back into the small hut, closing the door behind itself.

Klaus simply came out of the sub-realm, reappearing back in his mansion room.

He had a powerful, loyal SS-rank subordinate now, and a vast, fused personal domain. His resources had just expanded exponentially.
