Chapter 83: Eleven Red Shadows

Suddenly, Captain Lezhe spoke up, his low voice coming from his wolf head:

"Traitors! You need to get the hell out of here!"

"What!"

Hearing this, veins on Murr’s forehead bulged, and the traitors behind him got all worked up.

"Kekeke, these humans must be scared out of their minds!"

"Leave? We have to tear them apart before we go anywhere!"

"I can’t stand it anymore! I really want to rip off that serious wolf head!"

"..."

The traitors getting riled up set off alarm bells for the seven, their Psionic Energy ready to strike.

Captain Lezhe spoke again in his low voice:

"I’m giving you ten minutes to beat it, or we’ll drag you all down with us..."

His voice was loaded with threat. His teammates’ attacks pointed toward the distant monster tide, with arrows specifically aimed at the skeleton monster in the center.

The scene immediately went dead silent.

Murr’s nostrils flared, cold air spraying from them. The veins on his neck throbbed like crazy, showing his current fury.

"You dare threaten me!"

"Nine minutes left!"

Captain Lezhe’s eyes were ice-cold, showing no fear of Murr’s anger as he kept the countdown going.

"Good! Good! Good!"

How many years had it been since someone threatened him? And by a group of Psionics backed into a corner!

Murr’s reason was nearly eaten up by rage. His eyes turned blood-red, filled with bloodshot veins, and the ice spikes on both arms grew thicker and thicker...

"Murr, enough! We’ve burned enough time already!" frёeweɓηovel_coɱ

Shia spoke up at just the right moment. She was really afraid this hothead would ignore the threat and drag everyone to their deaths.

"Are you trying to boss me around?"

Shia’s interference once again pushed Murr’s anger through the roof.

"Do you want to bring down our lord’s wrath!"

Shia didn’t back down. Her black claws gave off poisonous gas as both sides’ momentum began to clash.

The traitors behind them didn’t dare breathe loudly. The two bosses looked like they were about to duke it out—which side should they pick?

The seven people below watched this scene with mixed feelings.

"Internal strife?"

"They’re not going to start beating the tar out of each other, are they?"

"If they fight, it’s good for us no matter who bites it!"

The Psionics couldn’t help but voice their thoughts.

Captain Lezhe seriously reminded them:

"Stay sharp, don’t let your guard down. Watch out for sneak attacks!"

...

"Lord! Again with the damn lord!"

Suddenly, Murr grinned, showing rows of sharp teeth.

Shia immediately sensed danger and quickly dodged to the side.

"Boom!"

An ice spike drove deep into Shia’s previous spot.

"Damn it! You’ve lost your mind!"

Shia’s face was ugly. She never imagined this guy would actually have the guts to attack her!

"Go die!"

With his reason burned away by rage, Murr’s Psionic Energy erupted. Both arms shot out dozens of ice spikes, blanketing Shia.

"You crazy bastard!!!"

This was a killing blow. It seemed that in Murr’s heart, his anger toward Shia far exceeded what he felt toward the seven people below.

"Damn it, you maniac!"

With nowhere to dodge, Shia’s muscles actually began writhing. Her black claws gave off dark energy as she swatted down the incoming ice spikes one by one.

Each ice spike she hit instantly turned into black water!

"Kekeke, not bad, not bad! You’ve got some real skills!"

Murr grinned again, the ice layers on both arms getting even thicker...

Alarm bells went off in Shia’s head. Although she felt she was stronger than Murr, her mind was constantly worried about the monster tide below. She immediately realized she couldn’t keep tangling with this nutcase.

Having made up her mind, she struck first. Her black claws suddenly swung, sending two streams of dark energy straight at Murr. Murr crossed both arms in front.

"Boom!"

The dark energy exploded into thick smoke, blocking Murr’s vision.

When he rushed out of the smoke, he only saw a strong back in the distance.

"Murr! You just wait for me!"

Shia was about to cross the dune top. She left harsh words, her eyes greedily glancing at Murr’s arms, then turned and leaped over the dune top...

Seeing Shia run for it, Murr’s reason slightly returned. His bloodshot eyes locked on the seven people below again.

"Captain, there’s no chance to strike!"

The seven had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to ambush, but who would have thought that female traitor would be such a coward and just run away!

"Kekeke! How do you want to die!"

Without the troublesome Shia, Murr led a group of traitors, slowly approaching with mocking expressions.

However, some at the back of his traitor group were quietly backing away.

In this situation, even an idiot could tell they were about to throw down.

If they attracted the monster tide later, they’d be goners for sure.

Given their boss’s occasional fits of madness, only the boldest traitors at the very back dared to quietly slip away.

Watching the traitors approach, Captain Lezhe’s expression was grim, his eyes containing ice-cold killing intent.

"This guy doesn’t plan to leave! Kill!"

"Yes!"

The other six immediately launched attacks, with several shots fired directly at the monster tide...

"Death throes! Kill them!"

Murr’s eyes showed pure contempt. Both arms condensed dozens of ice spikes again, shooting them out!

The traitors behind him figured—at this point, in this situation, only by quickly killing these guys could they get out before the monster tide went berserk. They all launched attacks!

The two groups fought like wild animals...

"Samba! Sambo! Hold the line!"

Facing traitors who far outnumbered and outpowered their seven-person team, just the first exchange left almost everyone beaten up.

Especially Captain Lezhe, who actively engaged Murr. He spat ice shards, got sent flying backward, crashed hard into the sand, and coughed up blood.

"Quick, keep hitting the monster tide! We have to drag them down with us!!!"

Facing enemies several times their number, the Psionics were desperate but determined to drag these traitors to hell with them...

...

While both sides fought tooth and nail, they didn’t notice eleven red shadows quietly approaching, about to cross the peak...

...

On the other side of the giant sand dune, several traitors knelt shaking on the ground.

Behind each of them stood a skeleton monster with an absolutely terrifying purple aura.

The shadows of greatswords covered their heads as sweat dripped like rain.

Their eyes were full of terror. They didn’t dare look up or even twitch, afraid of getting the attention of the figure in front.

"Which faction summoned you?"

A low, cold voice came from under the figure’s face mask. The man was completely covered in enclosed armor, making it impossible to see his true appearance.

Among the terrified traitors kneeling on the ground, two immediately competed to spill their guts:

"My lord, we don’t know about any faction. We just follow our boss!"

"Right, my boss Murr is right up there!"

The two traitors quickly threw their boss Murr under the bus.

"Crack!"

A sword flash passed, and these two traitors’ heads went flying. Hot blood directly splattered the faces of the remaining traitors.

The remaining traitors were scared out of their wits, trembling, prostrating themselves, with their heads buried deep in the sand, not daring to breathe!
