We were back in front of the Dragon King Castle after visiting Ramiel.

I kept asking Ramiel questions after that and only learned about Nobunaga's combat style along with his trump card and that I won’t be able to win against the 《Invisible Hand of Gods》.

Ramiel did mention beforehand that she only wanted to tell me about Nobunaga.

Any questions beyond that were meaningless.

「Thank you for allowing me to have an interview with Ramiel. This allowed me to understand her a bit.」

I bowed in gratitude to Riddler.

「I’m happy to be able to assist you, even if it’s just a bit. Let me arrange accommodations for you since it seems you’ll be staying here for a while.」

「Thank you, but I must decline; I’ll be leaving Peach Dragon Village. I don’t think I can bring more trouble to this place. Moreover… I want to investigate their whereabouts for now. Just waiting for them to attack doesn’t sit well with me.」

Riddler apologized with a complicated look on his face.

He might feel relieved inside.

That was understandable since Riddler was the king of the dragonfolk, and he probably didn’t want Nobunaga to lay waste to Peach Dragon Village.

According to Ramiel, despite being one of the world’s supervisors, Nobunaga was the incarnation of atrocity itself.

The personal battle between Veranta and me, with the fate of the world on the line, was beginning.

I mean, did I really have a chance to win against Veranta with his overwhelming power? In the first place, could I even win? I hadn’t found the solution to that yet.

However, I couldn’t just sit back and let him kill me.

This reminded me that most of the enemies I had fought so far had been instigated by Nyarlhotep.

The Demon King Mother, Alice the Corpse Doll, Ramiel the Ruler of the Sky, and Adam the Homunculus.

This battle against the 《Invisible Hand of God》 might be my final confrontation with Nyarlhotep.

「We will meet Veranta in the near future…」

A golden-colored gate appeared along with the magic circle’s glow.

I recognized this gate.

It was the teleportation item owned by Veranta.

I touched the hilt of the 《Hero Sword; Gilgamesh》.

Then, someone appeared from the other side of the gate.

「You are…」

Riddler rushed from my side toward the golden gate.

「I never expected they’d breach a place surrounded by a barrier so easily! But even if they’re messengers of a higher being, I won’t allow anyone to disturb the peace of Peach Dragon Village!」

Riddler spun in the air and unleashed a claw attack.

Riddler unleashed his claw attack.

However, the person emerging from the gate easily caught Riddler’s wrist and pushed him to the ground.

「Gah!?」

A loud sound echoed from Riddler’s body.

「Oops… My bad; this seems to be the dragonfolk’s secret place.」

「L-LUNAIRE-SAN!?」

The one who appeared from Veranta’s golden gate was none other than Lunaire.

Unlike her appearance in 《Cocytus》, she was now wrapped in a black robe.

「To think that I made such a blunder right after intruding on your place… I hope this won’t tarnish Kanata’s reputation.」

Lunaire spoke with a troubled expression.

「W-Why are you here, Lunaire-san!? And what have you been doing until now? And that gate should belong to the leader of the 《Invisible Hand of God》… What is happening here…!?」

Following Lunaire was a luxurious, treasure chest monster… the Noble Mimic.

「Noble too!」

The person, completely bound by chains, lay weakly on the ground.

His face was covered by a white mask.

He was someone I knew: the leader of the 《Invisible Hand of God》, Veranta.

I had actually planned to consult Lunaire regarding the 《Invisible Hand of Gods》 since I knew I couldn’t fight the organization on my own. However, she had already found them a long time ago and deemed them a problem.

Still, she acted incredibly quickly.

「nOpE, MaStEr JuSt StAlkIng KanaTA…」

Noble Mimic heaved a sigh.

Lunaire quickly pushed down the lid of the treasure chest and pinned it down with her hands.

「I-I don’t really get it, but… Aren’t they the folks from that 《Invisible Hand of Gods》?」

Riddler asked with a bewildered look.

I nodded.

「… It seems the 《Invisible Hand of Gods》 has already been destroyed.」

「Uhm?」

Riddler stood there with a dumbfounded expression.

It seemed he still didn’t fully grasp the current situation.

Honestly, I felt the same way.

「S-So… What comes next?」

I’d been wondering about that too.
