Chapter 370: Teleporting

Without losing any more time, both Casper and MMA decided to let Canute activate the new device that he created.

The troops were eager to get going. They wanted to take their home back as fast as possible. The sight of the Castle in front of them was prompting them to advance right now.

Canute did as they ordered and took a circular-shaped device. It had several buttons and a lever on the side. He improvised that device with the few materials that they could get while in the Support Base.

It was hard to find the materials and tools that he needed to build that thing. He delayed so much throughout his experimentations and tests because he needed to change the sketch of that device a lot of times due to the lack of materials.

Most of the things that were essential for the first version of his project couldn’t be found by his comrades, so he was quite limited on what he could do. What Canute had in his hands was the 10th version of that device, and he just didn’t make other simpler versions because he didn’t have more time.

Canute spent five minutes or so programming the device to teleport each troop of Ridires in the right localization. They would not go to the same destination, which made it difficult to teleport.

Upon seeing that he was already working on making them enter the Castle, the sound of guns activating and getting recharged with Indigo Energy began to fill the environment as the Ridires prepared themselves for the upcoming clash.

"Are you ready to lose your hearing this time, Ivar?" Freygar chuckled, lining up with him.

Ivar narrowed his eyes, turning to the right to face his comrade.

"You sucker... I never thought that you would be the first one to make fun of it! You will see what will happen when we arrive at the battlefield. Just remember to keep your eyes attentive when I shine! That’s the way of the Her--"

"Man, I am on your left side..." Freygar poked his face. "Are you sure that you will be ok in this state? I am right beside you, really..."

Ivar tried to catch him with both his hands but wasn’t able to do so as the Cloned Aesir avoided it.

"Argh! Come here, you little wimp! Once I put my hands on you, we will see how will be the blind one!"

"So, it became a weakness of you to be blind now, Ivar? And, as far as I know, you don’t have even 50% of your hearing, unfortunately." Ari approached them, lining up as well.

"Et tu Brutus!?" The Fenrir clenched his fists, making a painful expression.

"C’mon, it’s better when you are excited about the fights and acting like a crazy old man." The Punctual Aesir tapped him on the shoulder, giggling.

"I am acting like this just because I am both frustrated and excited! And I am no old man!"

"You are the second Aesir of the new generation. Together with the Boss and Freygar, you are the three old men of this party."

Ivar stopped for a while, thinking deeply on that matter.

Freygar was going to protest against that affirmation but...

"Makes sense..." Ivar agreed, stroking his chin.

"Don’t agree with such a blasphemy so easily, man!" Freygar shouted.

This time, he was being the one bullied by Ari and Ivar due to his midlife crisis.

"By the way, I haven’t been watching over you two since I was dying inside because of that goddamned poison. What are you up to? According to the plan, we will be fighting since the very first second that we lay our feet on the Castle’s grounds, so I wanted to know if you are just going there to get beaten again."

Ivar grinned while looking at Ari.

"Who do you think I am? Of course that I have something in mind. Otherwise, I won’t be able to win against my opponent. A real hero always has a different power every time they go to a battle, after all."

Freygar snorted.

"Well, I am not trying to seem arrogant, like our Ivar here, but I do have something in mind as well. Actually, I have been improving a lot in the last month."

Ari scratched his cheek with his index finger while looking away from them.

"Hehehe... It seems that you indeed prepared something, after all..." The Punctual Aesir looked to the sides, finding Rurik, who was walking beside them.

"Hey, Canute is nearly done. It’s good that you are all together already."

"R-Rurik, did you prepare something new for the upcoming fight?"

The Immortal Aesir tilted his head, thinking about that matter.

"Of course not. I won’t be defeated by anyone there. I can’t die." He shrugged, overly confident about his abilities.

"Well, they can still enjail you or paralyze your body. You don’t have your gloves anymore, and your immortality doesn’t work to end the effects of the poison that don’t harm you directly. Paralyzing poison is your weakness." Ivar crossed his arms.

"H-how far do you think about my weaknesses?"

"Fool! I know how to defeat every Aesir on our team! I can say at least two weaknesses of each one of you. Starting particularly with that guy there." He pointed at the Boss.

"W-wait, do you really know how to defeat the Boss?" Freygar, who was only looking at him with scorn asked.

"Yes." Ivar nodded his head.

"And how is it?"

The Fenrir raised one finger.

"He has only one weakness: The Boss is imprisoned by chains that are far beyond the power of the masks. But you will only understand this phrase if you know who he really is, which is something that he won’t reveal to you, I guess. After all, I needed to discover all of it by myself."

"Idiot, I bet you are lying. Blind old gaga."

"Shut up. At least I know my true self, fake clone!"

As they began to argue, Rurik and Ari laughed at their faces.

MMA was in the distance paying attention to them. He wanted to scold them for not being disciplined in front of the Ridires, but he let it go. After all, just Odin knew when they would have that sort of leisure time again after they entered the Castle.

Without warning, a blue light enveloped everyone’s body. It was the new teleportation technique of Canute. They didn’t fight against it, but let that light involve themselves until their material body disappeared from the Main Avenue.
