Divine Beast Creator-Chapter 2178 - 2179: A Brief Rest at the Manor
Since the One-leaf Fox is quite weak and Feng Yuan doesn’t have a driver’s license, he simply had Patado drive the estate to this hospital and directly brought the One-leaf Fox into the estate.
He didn’t expect that this action would bring quite a bit of trouble to a certain little creature.
The Spirit Beasts in the estate, who had recovered vigor during their recuperation period after treatment, curiously gathered around. Patado, afraid these little ones might disturb the One-leaf Fox’s rest, had to spend effort to escort them away.
The One-leaf Fox, originally a bit uneasy and wary, dropped its final guard after seeing these little creatures.
Because it could tell these little ones were wild juvenile Spirit Beasts; although they seemed to be in a recovery phase after treatment, their actual condition was much better than ordinary wild Spirit Beasts.
After all, when Feng Yuan guided their treatment, he aimed for maximum healing, thus even the hidden injuries of wild Spirit Beasts were fixed, making them appear even healthier than wild juvenile Spirit Beasts.
It was precisely because of these little creatures that the One-leaf Fox completely believed Feng Yuan hadn’t deceived it and truly planned to spend effort healing it.
Its paw lightly rested on the damaged leaf, and sometimes the One-leaf Fox wondered if it was being too stubborn.
After helping the One-leaf Fox get in, Agunas didn’t stay, because at that moment the One-leaf Fox’s condition had stabilized, and it didn’t need constant watch. For Agunas, helping wild Spirit Beasts was just a hobby; besides that, it had official duties to attend to.
After all, Agunas wasn’t like Veronia, a Divine Beast who had lost its main responsibilities.
Veronia did have free time, but unlike Agunas, it didn’t care much about wild Spirit Beasts. Though the One-leaf Fox’s plight evoked some sympathy, expecting it to stay and watch over the fox was entirely unrealistic.
Only Tamur gave a meaningful look to the One-leaf Fox without saying anything because its foresight saw something, not that the truth was of major consequence.
Since the One-leaf Fox’s treatment was quite complicated, Feng Yuan didn’t just leave it to Patado and the others to handle on their own; he arranged and explained slowly.
That’s right, though intricate, Feng Yuan still planned to teach Patado and the others this handling method. Cases like the One-leaf Fox, while rare, weren’t entirely nonexistent; it’s just the process is complex and fairly energy-consuming, nothing more.
The reason those doctors couldn’t resolve it was entirely due to their lack of research in this area; after all, such rare occurrences aren’t worth dedicated study.
Feng Yuan identified this treatment process as a universal method because it wasn’t troublesome for him, and it might be useful someday, even though these situations are rare and the One-leaf Fox’s species isn’t exactly a highly potential Spirit Beast group. But who knows what might happen in the future.
After all, with unexpected encounters, the One-leaf Fox clan might even offer something equivalent in exchange for treatment; sorting out this method wasn’t overly taxing for Feng Yuan.
Busy with the One-leaf Fox’s affairs, Feng Yuan didn’t return to the dorm nor attend class the entire day. As the preliminary preparations drew to a close, it was already bedtime.
After some thought, Feng Yuan decided not to return to the dorm, planning to spend the night at the estate.
Though Feng Yuan hadn’t directly treated these Spirit Beasts, those little creatures could still guess the real situation, so when Feng Yuan became idle, they happily gathered around.
Unfortunately, their joy wasn’t shared by Xiao Ji, who then angrily flapped its wings to chase away those juvenile Spirit Beasts seeking Feng Yuan for play. Amused, Feng Yuan didn’t stop Xiao Ji.
After all, he himself didn’t want too much interaction with these Spirit Beasts, and, though they’re juvenile, Xiao Ji wasn’t much older than them; some juvenile Spirit Beasts are classified as such due to extended juvenile periods and might actually be older than Xiao Ji.
The Fluffy Fire Wolfhound didn’t have the same thoughts as Xiao Ji; it jumped directly into the room, found a comfortable spot to lie down—right on the Spirit Beast specialty carpet in the middle, near the environment-control equipment’s air outlet.
Sensing the possibility of weakened Spirit Beasts receiving treatment, each room had special equipment to adjust the environment, altering parameters from temperature and humidity to air quality and composition.
Within a short stay, the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound grew fond of this spot, as it could freely adjust most environment parameters, far more comfortable than the dorm.
With a wagging tail and rolling eyes, the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound pondered how to ask Feng Yuan to let it live there.
Feng Yuan didn’t notice the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound’s oddness; if the wolfhound was willing to run both places, Feng Yuan wouldn’t mind it resting here, as Feng Yuan couldn’t possibly live here permanently, lest more Spirit Beasts want to follow him.
Furthermore, Feng Yuan hadn’t considered residing here long-term; otherwise, he wouldn’t patiently instruct Patado and the others.
As for the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound befriending wild Spirit Beasts? Feng Yuan saw no issue, as good relations between Spirit Beasts aren’t problematic, nor would the wolfhound randomly bring familiar Spirit Beasts home.
Finally managing to have Patado and company escort the juvenile Spirit Beasts away, Feng Yuan stretched with a smile, affectionately patted the sheepish Xiao Ji, and prepared to wash up and rest.
On the second day, seeing the One-leaf Fox was fine, Feng Yuan left the estate and returned to the dorm, intending to check on the Big Cats. What Feng Yuan didn’t anticipate was, upon seeing the Big Cats, the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound proudly raised its tail to show off its resting place from the night before.
Though Feng Yuan could only speculate on the wolfhound’s barks, Veronia alongside explaining. Restraining laughter, Feng Yuan didn’t remind the wolfhound; compared to the wolfhound requiring training alongside Feng Yuan, the Big Cats were freer, able to live there anytime.
Initially, the Big Cats had no interest in the wolfhound, but as it proudly wagged its tail incessantly, the Big Cats could only smirk and reveal the harsh truth to the wolfhound.
No choice, the Big Cats didn’t need to pursue force, and Kong Qing? There’s no need to mention; as a Divine Beast, it merely seeks evolution directions, concerning itself with combat prowess?
Just like Feng Yuan trains Xiao Ji’s combat skills, Kong Qing only needs to focus on combat tactics and responsive abilities.
However, Kong Qing lacked none of these, having spent plenty of time surviving in the wild with diverse combat experience unlike Xiao Ji.
As for Little Ice Cream, it’s even less concerning; despite appearing foggy, Kong Qing and the Big Cats have long recognized its true nature, not to mention the similarly minded Big Cats have seen through it.
Little Ice Cream isn’t exempt from training; it simply hasn’t reached the stage demanding extensive combat training yet.
Sometimes Feng Yuan found it odd; Little Ice Cream’s juvenile period seemed considerably long, unsure what its post-evolution condition might be, though generally, longer juvenile phases denote greater species potential.
Nonetheless, regardless of Little Ice Cream’s potential, Feng Yuan never considered signing a Taming Beast Contract with it.
Primarily, being a Meteorite Spirit Beast, it doesn’t align with Feng Yuan’s preferences.
Informed of the cruel truth by the Big Cats, the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound drooped its tail, approached Feng Yuan with low whimpering. After Veronia’s translation, Feng Yuan rolled his eyes and replied irritably,
"I won’t force you to train if you don’t want to, but you need to consider this seriously; after all, you’re not like them. Without training, growth may be slow."
The Big Cats originally had the least potential among these Spirit Beasts, yet due to their special research path, the Big Cats possessed remarkable strength, with the scholarly owl’s methods for enhancing abilities quite unique.
The chosen research path was what rapidly strengthened them, in which the Big Cats certainly didn’t lag behind.
Drooping its ears, the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound whimpered but didn’t pursue the matter further, fully aware of the significance of strength.
