Divine Doctor Mommy Is A True Big Shot-Chapter 8 - : The Life-Saving Miracle Remedy
Chapter 8: Chapter 8: The Life-Saving Miracle Remedy
Feng Bailing's gaze remained fixed, as if she never knew Dugu Wu.
As Dongfang Li and Feng Zhanlian had just entered the government office, they heard Feng Bailing's accusation, and Dongfang Li even thought he had heard wrong and dug at his ears.
"You accuse me of murdering Xia Zhu, Feng Bailing, when it's clearly you who killed to silence her, yet you dare to spew lies with blood on your hands!"
Dongfang Li had someone bring Xia Zhu in.
"Lord Order Keeper, I have both witnesses and physical evidence here, and I request you to review them."
"Lord Order Keeper, it's my failure in teaching my daughter that led her to become so spoiled and bring about such a disaster."
Feng Zhanlian also pretended to dab at the corners of his eyes with his sleeve.
This is an attempt to crush her to death, what a move by Feng Zhanlian.
Feng Bailing, having been tempered on the battlefield, had a heart of steel; she sneered inwardly, watching Feng Zhanlian and Dongfang Li playing their parts in tandem.
Feng Wan stepped forward, took the suicide note, and handed it to Dugu Wu to review.
Scanning the suicide note, Dugu Wu saw its contents quite clearly.
"Feng Bailing disregards the virtues expected of a woman, births an illegitimate child, and commits murder to cover it up, truly a heinous crime."
Dongfang Li repeatedly cursed the term "illegitimate child," and Feng Bailing's eyes seemed about to burst into flames.
"You dare to glare..."
Dongfang Li felt a tingle on his scalp as he met another chilling gaze.
"I will ask one question, and you will answer one. Otherwise, the fate of those two guards will be yours."
Dugu Wu found Dongfang Li increasingly displeasing to the eye.
Dongfang Li's tongue felt cold and he awkwardly shut his mouth.
"Feng Bailing, with both witness and evidence present, do you have anything to say?"
Dugu Wu had already had someone check Xia Zhu – her lower abdomen was bloated beyond help, she was breathing more out than in.
"Reporting to Lord Order Keeper, I indeed have something to say. First, Xia Zhu is illiterate."
Feng Bailing remembered clearly that she herself was not fond of reading and barely recognized a few characters, and to please her, Xia Zhu didn't enjoy studying either. Chun Liu, however, had learned some characters.
Let alone writing an entire letter, even a plain note would be beyond her.
"Xia Zhu is close to death, you can say whatever you wish. She grew up with you from childhood, yet you cruelly murdered her, truly heartless as a viper."
Dongfang Li was initially startled, but he quickly insisted that Feng Bailing was lying.
"Seventh Prince, I haven't finished speaking. I say Xia Zhu is illiterate, but of course, that does not count. It only counts when she herself says it."
After speaking, Feng Bailing bowed to Dugu Wu.
"Lord Order Keeper, I earnestly request you to prepare a bucket of fresh cow's milk. With it, I will naturally prove that Xia Zhu is illiterate."
Dugu Wu was somewhat surprised; he had thought Feng Bailing would beg for mercy out of fear, but this woman did not, which was interesting.
Just so, Dugu Wu also wanted Dongfang Li to suffer a bit.
He ordered his men, and soon, two Government Officials came back carrying a large bucket of fresh cow's milk.
"Whoever has the new scabbard, you there, come and lend a hand."
Feng Bailing gestured to Feng Wan to come over.
Feng Wan, alert, subconsciously protected his scabbard; it was new, and he couldn't afford to break it, else he'd have to compensate with his next month's salary. That Delusional Girl was really tricky.
"Help me hold her; I'll feed her the cow's milk."
Although he didn't understand Feng Bailing's intent, Feng Wan still helped Xia Zhu up.
Feng Bailing pried open Xia Zhu's mouth and fed her the cow's milk.
Half a bucket of milk was quickly fed to her.
Dongfang Li and Feng Zhanlian watched from the side, totally clueless about what Feng Bailing was up to.
Xia Zhu's abdomen had become round from the milk, and at this moment, a rumbling sound came from her stomach.
Xia Zhu, who had been unconscious for a while, showed reactions. She opened her mouth and began to vomit.
Dongfang Li could hardly keep himself stable.
A quarter of an hour later, Xia Zhu's complexion improved, and she vomited out the gold that had been swallowed into her stomach.
She slowly awakened, first looking at Feng Bailing, then at Dongfang Li, frightened out of her wits.
She didn't find Feng Xiaoli, and didn't dare return to Yizhuang, but on the way she met the Seventh Prince who came to meet her; when he learned that she had not accomplished her task, he turned on her on the spot and forced her to swallow a golden ring.
"Xia Zhu, you have nothing to fear. With me here, no one will harm you. Will you tell Lord Order Keeper, was it Feng Bailing who made you swallow the gold, to murder you and seal your lips?"
Dongfang Li took a step forward, forcing a smile as he fixed his gaze on Xia Zhu.
"The servant..."
Xia Zhu stuttered.
"Xia Zhu, rest assured, the Seventh Prince and I are here, no one dares to make things difficult for you."
Feng Zhanlian also wore a pleasant face, but his words made Xia Zhu even more afraid. She couldn't speak, otherwise both the master and the Seventh Prince would not let her off.
"Seventh Prince, do you recognize this item?"
Feng Bailing sauntered to one side, not minding the dirt and stench, she rummaged for a while, and found a golden ring in the vomit.
Seeing that ring, Dongfang Li's face was a sight to behold.
"I remember that the Seventh Prince once wore a ring just like this one, even with your name on it. How is it that this ring from the Seventh Prince's hand ended up in the belly of my maid?"
Feng Bailing smiled faintly, her smile seemingly harmless.
Her remarks appeared to be a query to Dongfang Li, but her gaze was focused on Xia Zhu.
That gaze was cold and bone-chilling, like a ferocious beast with gaping jaws, ready to devour its prey at any moment.
Xia Zhu shivered.
In the blink of an eye, countless thoughts flashed through her mind.
The Miss has changed, become frighteningly terrible.

Miss was dead then alive, and she herself nearly died only to be saved.
Falling into the hands of the Seventh Prince or the master, she would die.
But in the Miss's hands, she couldn't die even if she wanted to!
Xia Zhu broke down, kowtowing to Dugu Wu, pleading for mercy.
"My lord, my lord save me. I was forced, it was the Seventh Prince who threatened me, made me spy on my Miss. It was the master and the second Miss who made me..."
"Bitch!"
Dongfang Li lifted his foot, and a sharp dagger suddenly appeared at the tip of his boot, stabbing into Xia Zhu's heart.
The dagger was extremely sharp, and with a miserable scream, Xia Zhu fell into a pool of blood.
The hall was dead silent.
Feng Bailing frowned, glancing at Dugu Wu who remained calm and collected, showing no intent to intervene.
Xia Zhu had to die.
No matter Dugu's mistake, he was still a Prince; if the affair were exposed, it would tarnish the Royal Family's reputation.
"What a misfortune for our family, to have entertained Lord Order Keeper and the Seventh Prince with such a farce. It seems this was all just one big misunderstanding, all due to this wretched servant's machinations. Thank you, Seventh Prince, for your timely intervention, helping the Princess' Mansion to clean house."
Feng Zhanlian breathed a sigh of relief, apologizing to Dongfang Li and Dugu Wu.
"Having dealt with Xia Zhu, how should the Prince be dealt with? You've framed me without discernment of truth, a Prince who transgresses the law should be punished the same as a commoner."
Feng Bailing toyed with the golden ring in her hand.
"Feng Bailing, don't push your luck. I am the prestigious Seventh Prince of Great Chu, do you truly expect me to apologize to you?"
Dongfang Li grew furious with shame and anger.
"The Seventh Prince knows what's right..."
Dugu Wu pondered for a moment.
"Lord Order Keeper sees clearly!"
Dongfang Li was quietly elated; Dugu Wu truly still feared him as the Seventh Prince.
"A death penalty can be spared, but not the punishment for living sins, I have always been just in my dealings. Why doesn't the Seventh Prince also swallow a golden ring once, and we shall act as today's matter never happened."
In Dugu Wu's heterochromatic eyes, a hint of mockery flashed.
