"I see."

Davis replied to Rea Tyriel with an acknowledging smile, "So you forfeit whatever rights you have over that unclaimed treasure?"

"Of course not." Rea Tyriel smirked, "The treasure will go to whoever is the strongest and the luckiest, so don't blame me if I get it, although I might be willing to sell it for a premium if it is you."

"As expected of a future Matriarch. You really know how to pull your weight around and talk, especially when having an Emperor-Tier Immortal Beast as a mount which makes you stand out like a priceless pearl."

Davis couldn't help but chuckle. However, his words caused someone to be incensed ever so lightly.

"Emperor of Death, don't hit on my woman, or we're going to have a problem."

Black Tyriel cawed at Davis, having his giant white eyes narrowed. His lunar energy surged out in a white hue as it surrounded his blackish-white wings. It seemed he was not kidding, causing Davis to laugh further.

"Haha. I'm not hitting on her. Your missus should understand what I meant."

"Missus..."

Black Tyriel's eyes shone. With this, he forgot what previously happened as he looked at Davis nodding, using one of his wings to flap at him as though giving him a thumbs up.

On the other hand, Rea Tyriel almost rolled her eyes, realizing that he was praising himself for having an Emperor-Tier Immortal Beast. That dark-attributed wolf was infamously strong that she had to admit that it was way stronger than Black Tyriel, but she smiled, wondering who would get the last laugh as a magical beast's regal might would regress upon stepping into the next stage.

*Whoosh!~*

*Whoosh!~*

*Whoosh!~*

At this moment, many more disciples gathered at this location. Many of them appeared to be true disciples in the top two hundred. They instantly became cautious upon seeing Davis, but some of them walked towards him and cupped their hands in greeting.

Jei Sealan, Waine Might, and Olas Windfall were among them. They were the ones who fought him during his wedding ceremony to test his prowess and, after they lost, graciously admitted defeat. Although the difference was too big for them to say otherwise, it took guts to admit defeat when one was in the top twenty.

Davis returned the gesture politely.

"How are you all here at the same time? Don't tell me you all marked this location before?"

"Yes." Olas Windfall appeared jovial, "This location was one of the many treasure sites we found, but since it was blocked and Mystic Diviner Hailac made the divination that it would clear somewhere around this time, so as you can see, we're all here."

"So you were all hunting other treasures during this time?"

Davis pursed his lips as he looked at Olas Windfall's bashful smile, which made the former think that the latter definitely had some gains.

Looks like he was truly late to the party!

"Then that makes it all the more necessary for me to take this treasure for myself."

Davis declared with a self-serving expression as he turned around and flew in the direction Rea Tyriel pointed towards, making Olas Windfall laugh awkwardly.

However, Jei Sealan's expression couldn't help but sink.

As a water-attributed Sea Race cultivator, he also knew of Ice Laws. He was thinking of improving his natural-born talent by taking this treasure for himself, but the Emperor of Death just declared that it was his. Just as he thought of buying from the other party since he could not afford to offend someone like the Emperor of Death easily, he looked at the two beauties behind him, feeling an icy aura around them.

Not only him but as soon as everyone witnessed those two icy-blue veiled beauties who dressed similarly but had different intrinsical auras to them, as though one was cozy yet dense and the other sharp and icy, they couldn't help understand that the Emperor of Death was here to collect the treasures for them.

As for Iesha, she had long escaped inside Natalya as people started to gather around them. She didn't like to be around so many strangers.

As Davis crossed the treacherous cliffs that led to the abyss over a slight misstep, he carefully carried the others. One might never know when a gust of icy wind would appear, making them lose their balance mid-air and plunge into the abyss as it eats them from pure pressure pulling them in.

Since he had not heard of anyone entering the abyss willingly or making it back after accidentally falling, as it was warned in the mission scroll, he'd rather not take the chance to see it for himself.

After crossing a few dozen cliffs, Davis finally arrived at a location where he saw numerous other core disciples. In truth, only true disciples could battle for this kind of treasure, but when prowess was made up for in numbers, the gap could lessen a bit.

He saw the Soaring Dragon Alliance, Supreme Kirin Alliance and, the Everlasting Phoenix Alliance, and other lesser-ranked alliances like the Dawnstar Alliance, Lunar Tempest Alliance, Cyan Riverstream Alliance. He also saw Mistress Yeyin here, but she had her eyes closed and was cultivating, seemingly oblivious to the changes in her surroundings.

Soon, Rea Tyriel and the others also caught up to him.

Their gazes quickly couldn't help but fall on the person who stood right in front of the icy fog that blocked the path to the treasure.

Silver hair adorned her head and slightly fell over to the side of her icy-blue-skinned face. She wore tight dark blue clothes that wound her around her icy-blue skinned body, revealing her curvaceous outlines, but her side face was as cold as it could be, simply looking disinterested even while staring emptily at the white fog.

"So she's Kayla, the Silver Rain Ice Spirit..."

Sensing Level Nine Immortal Stage undulations from her as she didn't bother to conceal but even gave off to radiate a dangerous vibe, Davis felt that it was going to be a precarious battle unless he put forth his Nadia.

Nonetheless, he also looked at the other alliances made up of many core disciples and true disciples, knowing that none of the parties were going to let go of this opportunity. He understood a massive battle was going to break out, but since they were all from the same sect, killing was forbidden.

Abruptly, he couldn't help but turn to look back. Many followed his gaze and saw a golden-robed man with two swords strapped on his back make his way to them. Their eyes narrowed in response as they knew he was Niel Bladeheart, the rising star of the Aurora Cloud Gate. Since Davis was a Divergent, his light didn't overshadow him.

The Emperor of Death's future was precarious, but for Niel Bladeheart, the people knew he would undoubtedly soar in the future.

Niel Bladeheart arrived before them. However, unlike a self-serving sword cultivator, he didn't put on airs and cupped his hands.

"Greetings, fellow disciples."

Davis's brows twitched, "You got lost within the tunnels, didn't you?"

"Cough." Niel Bladeheart felt his cheeks slightly become warm as she shook his head, "This treasure you all want is not what I'm searching for. I'm looking for the Frostcloud Sword Empress's carvings."

"Frostcloud Sword Empress?" Davis blinked.

"Legends say that her sword marks were left on a warning pillar here to warn the disciples to stay clear of the icy toxic fumes and the icy abyss below, but it also contained the comprehension of her Sword Laws."

"You're going to search for something so vague?"

"It's worth it because there are records stating that she perfected her icy Sword Laws, became an Immortal Emperor during that time when she carved the pillar, and ascended shortly after that."

Davis's eyes lit up as he turned to look at Tanya, observing her listen and appear interested. He knew this was an excellent opportunity for her to improve her Sword Laws aided by Ice Laws!
