Chapter 3476  Wishing Well

Davis's soul sense covered the entire Grand Beginnings Continent.

Although he felt suppressed, his prowess was still unimpeded. Even if an Immortal King popped out from nowhere, Davis was confident he could triumph.

He instantly created a map in his mind and traversed across the skies, making his way toward the Alstreim Family Territory along with Evelynn.

As for Fairy Thunderblaze, she stared at him leaving, wondering if he didn't want to follow her before she also left, heading in a different direction. She guessed that his soul sense would keep an eye on her, but she didn't seem to care.

They didn't talk much, seemingly bothered over the conflict that happened yesterday.

Eventually, Davis and Evelynn arrived before the Alstreim Family, hovering in the skies as they viewed the scenery. They didn't release any undulations and kept themselves concealed in order to not disrupt the environment since their presence alone caused ripples to appear in space.

It wasn't to say space here was weaker, but it was disturbed since it was surrounded and restricted by a giant formation. After all, this place was still the First Haven World and not the Second Layer where the Grand Sea Continent was located.

Hovering in the skies, Davis and Evelynn noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

It was another peaceful day for the all-powerful Alstreim Family, just the way he left them be, causing Davis to smile.

He descended along with Evelynn and appeared above the Purple Guest Palace, where he once resided.

Landing on the top platform, the guards… didn't react.

They appeared to be quite attentive as they didn't chit-chat or seem unfocused, causing Davis to nod his head, but it was too bad that he concealed himself, and they weren't able to detect him. Nonetheless, if he acted like he owned the place and walked in, he would trip some kind of alarm unless the formations still recognized his aura that had undergone a great change after becoming immortal.

"Who goes there!?"

Sighing lightly, he decided to reveal himself, which also revealed Evelynn.

But as the guard roared, he also didn't seem to be holding back and attacked straight away.

"Not bad…"

Davis flicked his sleeve, causing the guard to blink. He appeared to have been thrown away in a single move, and until he fell off the platform over the outer edge of the palace, he didn't even realize.

"Who!?"

Abruptly, a whirlwind appeared in the skies before it shot toward them and landed on the platform before them.

It was a blue-robed man with dashing features. He held a spear like the guards but clearly had more substance to him, as his prowess seemed to be higher from his dense aura.

"B-Brother-in-law!?"

His calm expression collapsed once he noticed Davis, causing him to blurt out.

"Well, if it isn't Wayn Nolan. Is your wife Diana doing well?"

Davis walked over and put a hand around Wayn Nolan's shoulder. However, the latter still seemed to be frozen. His eyes slowly moved to look at Davis once again, but he looked the other way and even pitched himself before returning the gaze, causing him to tremble.

"Teacher, you're back!"

Wayn Nolan's dumbfounded expression turned into one of pure joy. His innocent face lighted up like a flame, causing Davis to wryly smile.

Although it was just for a week, he did teach Wayn Nolan a lot of things since Diana forcefully brought him over and declared that she would marry him no matter what.

He guessed that they would be married by now, at the very least.

By this time, the guards who were stationed also seemed to be dumbfounded beyond compare.

Brother-in-law? Didn't that mean that this purple-robed man whose aura couldn't even be sensed was… the Emperor of Death!?

Their minds trembled, not able to understand heads or tails as it was impossible to come back after ascending.

Was this also an illusion on the world level that threatened to destroy them?

However, they couldn't understand why it would be the Emperor of Death as he would be this place's Guardian rather than a calamity.

"Wayn~"

At this moment, a melodious voice resounded from the dome on the top of the palace. A green-robed woman exited the dome and made her way out with a cheeky smile.

"What's with the commotion? Did you duel the guards again? How many times do I have to say that the difference in cultivation only makes it so that you're bullying th-"

Abruptly, that woman's voice stopped midway as she seemed to notice something incredulous. Her eyes quickly turned red as she raised her hands and placed them over her mouth, tears emerging like a flood that had been released from a dam.

"Big brother!"

She yelled out, crying out in joy before she shot forward like the wind and pounced at him, causing Davis to catch her.

"Wahhh~"

Diana cried out like a little girl, causing Davis to smile wryly, not knowing how much he made her worry. He patted her head.

"How careless of you, Diana. Wouldn't you confirm that it's me before jumping into my arms?"

"It's you! I know it's you, big brother! You're alive! Thank- Thank the heavens~"

Diana kept jumping while holding him as though she wished him to be real. It made Davis feel quite warm. He thought his second little sister might forget about him sooner or later since she got a man, but it seemed like she still cared about him deeply.

Indeed, Diana had never stopped worrying about her big brother.

Although Claire had gotten the signs from Logan's Life Tablet that Davis was still alive, it could've been a lie to soothe them. There was no factual evidence to state that Davis was still alive. Therefore, although they choose to believe the message, they can't help but remain worried day and night.

Perhaps noticing the commotion because Diana's undulations were full-blown at the Peak of the Emperor Stage, many people appeared, their gazes shocked as they looked at him. The inception of this chapter's publication is linked to n(0)vel(b)(j)(n).

Evelynn saw familiar faces gather one by one as they seemed to take out messaging talismans to inform one another. It wasn't even half a minute before a white-robed woman stormed out of the dome, her face full of worry and longing, her expression pained with fear that this may be nothing but a dream.

But as soon as she stepped into the crowd, it parted, revealing the hope she was looking for.

"My child~"

Claire's body shook, instantly causing Davis to appear before her. She leaned over and hugged him, silently crying as she trembled greatly.

"As you can see, I'm safe and sound mother, so there's no need to worry."

Davis tried to console her, worrying over her health because she was still pregnant with his youngest sibling. He couldn't afford to let them come into harm through emotional sways like this, so he did his best to console Claire, although it didn't seem like she was going to stop anytime soon.

"Big brother…" Edward also seemed moved, his eyes slightly teary.

He smiled profoundly as though knowing for a fact that his brother, the big brother he adored, wouldn't die that easily.
