Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 123: Wild Thoughts
Mika’s brows were tightly furrowed. "Tiana, please don’t overthink this."
"Mika, maybe there’s really something wrong with me..." She started to cry, feeling wronged as she remembered what the other girls at school would whisper about her.
Seeing Tiana cry, Mika quickly threw back the covers and got out of bed. She walked over to Tiana, pulled her into an embrace, and comforted her softly. "How could that be? Tiana, is something on your mind? You can tell me..." Ever since hearing her mother-in-law’s hesitant words at the Grayson estate a couple of days ago, she had harbored a faint suspicion that something might truly be wrong with Tiana. She just didn’t want to believe it.
’Could someone as innocent, sweet, and kind as Tiana really have something wrong with her?’
When Tristan Grayson reached the door of the hospital room, he saw a woman holding a sobbing Tiana. His heart clenched. He strode over, shoved the woman aside, and pulled Tiana into a protective embrace, roaring, "What do you think you’re doing?"
The force of Tristan Grayson’s shove sent Mika stumbling, and she nearly fell. Fortunately, Aiden Avery was there to catch and steady her.
"Tristan Grayson, are you insane?!"
"Aiden Avery, who’s the one with a problem here, me or you? Didn’t you just see her bullying Tiana?"
"Her, bullying Tiana?" Aiden scoffed as if he’d just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world. "Tristan Grayson, your ability to lie through your teeth is getting more impressive by the day."
Tristan was so furious he swung his fist toward Aiden. Not only was Aiden holding his woman, but he also had the audacity to accuse him of telling bald-faced lies.
Terrified, Tiana desperately clung to Tristan Grayson’s arm. "Tristan, you misunderstood! Mika wasn’t bullying me."
"Tiana... I’m here... don’t be afraid..." Tristan Grayson suppressed his anger, comforting her in a hard, cold voice.
Tiana Grayson sobbed, "Tristan, I was only crying because I was worried about Amelia. Mika was just trying to comfort me... *sob*... It’s all my fault... I made you misunderstand her..."
Hearing Tiana’s explanation, Tristan Grayson realized he hadn’t actually seen that woman bullying Tiana. In fact, she had been holding her.
His expression turned grim, and he had no idea how to apologize.
Aiden Avery let out a cold laugh and said mockingly, "Well, Tristan Grayson? Do you understand what was happening now?"
’Of course he understood. But what the hell did it have to do with Aiden?’
Seeing Aiden holding that woman, he felt an urge to go over and rip Aiden’s arms off. "Let her go."
Aiden Avery released the woman in his arms, but he wasn’t about to let it go. "Tristan Grayson, next time, try to understand the situation before you fly off the handle."
Tristan Grayson walked over, lifted the woman into his arms, and placed her back on the bed. "This is our family’s business," he said coldly. "You’re an outsider, so stay out of it." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"If you treated Mika better, do you think I’d want to get involved in your damn mess?"
"She’s my wife. Of course I’ll treat her well."
...The exchange between the two men made Mika’s head buzz, and a part of her heart grew completely numb.
From the moment Tristan Grayson had pushed her, she felt as if she were paralyzed, completely devoid of sensation.
"Tiana, are you okay?" Amelia walked over to Tiana’s side and asked in a low voice.
Tiana immediately threw her arms around Amelia. "Amelia, you’re back... I was so scared you wouldn’t return..."
"I just went out to clear my head. Of course I was going to come back. There, there, don’t cry anymore."
"Okay... From now on, if you need to clear your head, I’ll go with you..."
"I can’t let you do that..." ’If Tiana came with me, would Tristan let me off the hook? Obviously not. He doesn’t even spare his own wife, let alone an outsider like me.’
Suddenly, Amelia Avery looked up sympathetically at the woman sitting on the bed.
