Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 14: Speaking
’Appear in front of the cameras?’ Of course she didn’t want to. She had no choice but to let Tristan Grayson press her into his embrace.
Tristan Grayson smiled and waved at the reporters, asking them to give the couple a little privacy. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
After taking a few more photos, the reporters dispersed.
Tristan Grayson kept his arm around her as they went inside. The moment he closed the door, he shoved her away.
Stunned by the sudden push, she froze.
Then Tristan Grayson’s mocking voice cut through the air. "You really are a vicious woman."
"I don’t know what you mean," she said, her face pale as she suppressed the ache in her heart.
"Still playing dumb! You think I’d believe a word you say?" Tristan Grayson advanced on her, each cruel, cold word a blow to Mika Summers’s heart.
"Tristan Grayson, you don’t have to like me, but you can’t slander me!"
"Slander you? You know perfectly well whether it’s slander or not! Let me tell you, don’t think doing this will let you tie me down forever. In eight days, you will disappear from Tridell!"
Mika Summers backed away, tears streaming down her face as she spoke through the pain, "You don’t have to tell me. I’m leaving anyway." ’This place holds too many bad memories. I never want to stay here again.’
A cruel smile touched his lips. "You’d better keep your word. Otherwise, in eight days, the top entertainment headline will be ’Photos from the Scene of Tristan Grayson’s Current Girlfriend’s Car Crash’!"
Hearing his words, she looked up at him in horror.
’Photos of his current girlfriend’s car crash?’
’So if she didn’t leave in eight days, he already planned to get rid of her another way.’
"For the next eight days, you’d better behave and play your part. Otherwise, I’ll show you what happens to people who cross me."
His relentless pressure and harsh threats had already numbed her heart with pain. She let out a derisive laugh. "Don’t worry. I’ll be sure to play my part."
"See that you do." With that, Tristan Grayson stopped menacing her. He walked over to the sofa and sat down. "I’ll be staying here for the next few days to make sure you don’t pull any more stunts."
"Do whatever you want."
Tristan Grayson lay back on the sofa, pulled his phone from his pocket, and started playing a game.
Mika Summers, however, just stood by a cabinet in a daze.
The words Tristan Grayson had just thrown at her kept replaying in her mind.
’He’s going to stay here? For the next few days? And I actually agreed?’
’I actually agreed to let a cold-blooded monster like Tristan Grayson stay at my place?’
’No, I can’t live with Tristan Grayson. Why am I taking the fall for this? It wasn’t me.’
"Tristan Grayson, I didn’t do it. I didn’t hire reporters to follow you."
"You really think I’d believe a woman like you?" Tristan Grayson retorted dismissively.
"Tristan Grayson, I had no reason to do that."
"Hah..." Tristan Grayson sneered, his thin lips parting. "From now on, I’m not speaking to you, and you are not to speak to me. You’re not worthy of it." He had no desire to hear any more of her excuses. The more she tried to explain, the more disgusted he felt.
’She’s a money-grubbing person. What reason did he have to believe she wouldn’t do something like this?’
"You...! Fine! Then let’s not speak to each other!" She pointed a trembling, furious finger at Tristan Grayson, but no words came out. In the end, she could only agree. ’It’s not like I have anything to say to him anyway.’
