Divorce Revenge System: Knowing the Future in Advance-Chapter 967 - 695: The Most Rebellious Episode (Part 2)
"All done."
Huang Fang turned to glance at the exam paper, then at Jiang Nian. She looked thoughtful, then shook her head.
"Inhuman."
"Hey Fangfang, you!!" Jiang Nian immediately made a funny dog meme face, "Jealous, huh?"
Huang Fang was speechless and prepared to dig into her open book exam. Turning her head, she saw Li Hua spying on a certain spot in the classroom.
"Squad leader, what are you looking at?"
"Liu Yang." Li Hua had a mischievous look on his face and, after a moment of giggling, said, "I'm going to write an observation journal on Liu Yang."
Huang Fang: "...."
Most people in this group are somewhat abnormal.
The bell rang, marking the end of evening study. Jiang Nian grabbed his bag and was about to leave; as he exited the classroom, he checked his messages.
Xu Qianqian's class, that despicable homeroom teacher, let them off ten minutes early again.
What a jerk!
Downstairs, the crowd was bustling after school.
"Jiang Nian!!"
"Hmm?"
"Over here!!" Wang Yuhe, who was tall, waved at him vigorously, "Here, here!"
Guessing she needed something, he had no choice but to go over.
"What's up?"
"Nothing, just calling you over." Wang Yuhe said with a straight face, "By the way, where have you been these past two days?"
Jiang Nian glanced at her, unable to suppress a twitch at the corner of his mouth.
"Wang Yuhe."
"Hmm?"
"Has anyone ever told you, your serious look makes you seem a bit silly."
"You're talking nonsense!"
"Nope, why don't you ask Chen Yunyun."
Wang Yuhe really did, turning around and widening her eyes at Chen Yunyun.
"Yunyun, does it look silly?"
Chen Yunyun: "..."
"Don't listen to him, he's just messing with you." She rubbed her forehead, "And you, stop deceiving her all the time."
"Oh! So you were lying to me!" Wang Yuhe accepted this explanation and became savvy again.
Jiang Nian didn't bother to argue, walking along with the two girls towards the dormitory.
"Nothing much happening these days?"
Chen Yunyun shook her head, speaking softly, "There's one thing though, the homeroom teacher said there's going to be a physical exam for the college entrance exams next week."
"Next week?"
Jiang Nian thought silently, these last three days have been so busy. Tomorrow's already Sunday, and next week is just a few days away.
"What day?"
"Thursday."
"Then the mock exam results must have already come out."
Hearing this, Chen Yunyun inevitably became worried.
"Yeah."
At this moment, Wang Yuhe chimed in, "I heard Thursday's physical exam involves a blood test, Jiang Nian, are you afraid?"
"Not at all."
"Oh."
Wang Yuhe felt a bit disappointed, as she couldn't scare Jiang Nian. But the squad leader seems to faint at the sight of needles, might be fun to scare him.
Chatting, the three of them walked together to the dormitory area.
Jiang Nian stopped, ready to head back.
"Alright, I'm going home."
Hearing this, Chen Yunyun paused. Looking at the crowd around, she hesitated for a moment but remained standing without leaving.
"You..."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing." She shook her head; she had some emotions built up from exams, but now wasn't the time to talk.
"Are you still going to study in the classroom tomorrow afternoon?"
Jiang Nian nodded, "Yeah, I am."
"Okay." Chen Yunyun pursed her lips, waved at him, "You head back, take care."
Jiang Nian: "???
He felt that Chen Yunyun had something to say, but seeing her wave goodbye, he had no choice but to leave.
"Oh well, alright."
....
Jiang Nian got home and knocked on the opposite door. He vaguely heard the sound of a hairdryer, which abruptly stopped.
Then, the sound of footsteps approaching.
"You're back?"
The door was opened by Song Xiyun, with semi-dry hair. He seemed to have stopped blow-drying halfway to come open the door.
"Yeah."
He sidestepped inside, a draft passed through, and seeing Song Xiyun shiver, he quickly closed the door.
"No need to mind me, go ahead and dry your hair first."
"Oh, okay."
Jiang Nian leaned on the sofa playing on his phone; he had showered before coming back. After a refresh, he wasn't tired at all.
A while later, the bathroom door opened. Xu Qianqian came out wearing a blue nightgown, with a towel wrapped around her damp hair.
"Hey, you're back?"
Actually, she had heard the commotion long ago. She was just looking for an excuse to sit down and chat naturally.
"Came back in the afternoon," Jiang Nian pointed at the clothes on the balcony, "I hung those to dry, don't throw them out."
Xu Qianqian glanced at the balcony and saw colorful underwear hanging there, her face changed instantly.
Damn, what a loss.
Knowing Jiang Nian, that perv must have glanced more than once, maybe even studied the styles.
"Oh, got it."
The two of them chatted sporadically. Jiang Nian asked about home, while Xu Qianqian inquired about his journey.
The conversation was dull; nothing much had happened in the past three days. Jiang Nian's journey was smooth sailing.
But neither of them left; it had been three days without seeing each other, so the topics didn't really matter. Sitting together for a while was nice.
In the living room.
Xu Qianqian was blow-drying her hair, the noise from the dryer was loud. Jiang Nian and Song Xiyun sat one on each side, engrossed in their phones.
"Have you saved enough money to buy a car?"
"Almost." Jiang Nian said, "The employer was generous, so I'll stash it for now in a backup for emergencies."
After finishing his sentence, he suddenly remembered.
Li Qingrong seemed to have deposited a sum of money with him too, specifically for watching movies together, kind of a movie fund.
It's a curse!
Too many close friends can be troublesome. Naturally, he wouldn't bring up this topic.
When mentioning a seaside trip, the two girls immediately got excited. They chattered about what clothes to wear.
Song Xiyun opened the pictures of clothes his mom had sent him, and the two girls picked them out together.
Jiang Nian: "...."
Classic, left out.
After staying for a while and with nothing else to do, he finally stood up, slung his bag over his shoulder, and leisurely went back to his place.
He hadn't even started his nighttime routine when his phone buzzed.
Seeing a message from Chen Yunyun, it was brief, "Do you have time now?"
He originally planned to start on some exercises; it was his habit. He only replied to messages during breaks.
But he recalled Chen Yunyun's hesitation back at the dorm area, so he sent a reply.
"Yes, I do."
Unexpectedly, Chen Yunyun's next message was, "Alright, can you... come out for a moment?"
It was followed by a cautious emoji.
Jiang Nian: "???
Come out?
"It's so late, where to?" Just after sending that, he realized, "Wait, where are you guys?"
He was a day student, free to move around. But Chen Yunyun was a boarding student; there was a curfew.
No way they...
"Did you sneak out?"
On the other end, Chen Yunyun was typing.
"Yeah."
Damn, such rebellion?
Jiang Nian put down his bag, grabbed his e-bike keys. Checking his phone's battery level, he quietly slipped out.
Chen Yunyun: "(awkward) Maybe we should talk tomorrow."
In the hallway, he typed and asked.
"Where are you?"
The night wind blew.
Jiang Nian rode into the alley in front of the teacher's apartment, squeezing the brakes, he came to a steady stop by the sycamore tree.
Took out the keys, and turned into the first yard. Sure enough, a small storeroom window had its light on.
Knock knock knock, the sound of knocking echoed.
The red security door opened slightly. Chen Yunyun's shy face appeared, looking a bit embarrassed.
"Good evening..."
Feigning sternness, Jiang Nian smiled, late-night roaming was dangerous. But for pretty girls, it's not like he'd scold them.
As he was about to say something, a little person jumped out. The elementary schooler gave Jiang Nian a jolt with a proud look.
"Hey!"
Jiang Nian: "...."
Speechless.
"Why... don't you come in first?" Chen Yunyun was a bit nervous. After calming down, a slight regret crept in.
It was so late, and absolutely silent around.
Her face was burning, it felt like the walls were thin as paper. As if everyone was watching them.
"Alright then." Jiang Nian walked in.
The small storeroom was brightly lit. Since it wasn't their hair washing day, the room felt dry.
In the cramped space, Chen Yunyun stood. Wang Yuhe sat on a chair, with two phones on the table.
Jiang Nian leaned against the door, rubbing his forehead.
"Did your roommates know you snuck out?"
