Chapter 112 -112: Am I Ugly?

Cherish Turner was perched on the toilet, gripping his hand tightly, stopping him.

But when the words reached her lips, she didn’t know how to say them in a way that wouldn’t hurt him.

Then, Cherish Turner only said one sentence: “In the future, I won’t let myself be in danger. I will let you know where I am at the first moment, okay?”

Upon hearing her words, a hint of red clearly flashed across William Griffith’s eyes, but it soon disappeared.

He threw his bathrobe on the floor, and Cherish Turner stood naked in front of him, deciding not to hide anymore.

Afterwards, his attention landed on her bare belly, where there was a short, pink scar that was hardly noticeable.

Cherish Turner, somewhat embarrassed by William Griffith’s gaze on her wound, tousled her hair and said, “This scar. My mum said I got it when I was seventeen. I think it was appendicitis or something? I don’t remember anymore. Haha, isn’t it ugly?” Cherish intentionally laughed, looking at William’s face, mildly flushed.

When William Griffith saw the scar, he closed his eyes, turned his head away, afraid of revealing his emotions. He, a grown man, only felt this heartache when facing Cherish.

He remembered that at the time, Lewis was still in her belly, not yet eight months old. But despite not being full-term, he had forced her into the delivery room and had Lewis surgically removed in a Caesarean section.

If he was to tell her all this now, she probably wouldn’t be able to accept it, would she?

“What’s wrong?” Cherish Turner saw he wasn’t speaking, only gently touching the scar. Was he feeling sorry for her?

“Does it hurt?” His fingertips were always burning hot.

Cherish Turner shook her head, and the next second, William Griffith pulled her into his arms.
