Doomsday Life Simulator System In A Zombie Apocalypse World Update Era-Chapter 73: Spirit Manifestation Core
{Hint Prompt: Marcus has already used Berserk, and Nikolai can’t use Shadow Paralysis for thirty seconds. Now is the time to attack!}
[As if to confirm your instincts, a hint prompt appeared which indicated that it was indeed the right opportunity to strike.]
[Without any hesitation, you dived down from above, zooming below, and in just a split second, the heads of Nikolai and Marcus were separated from their necks.]
[After you remove the burden on their shoulders with your blood blade, you quickly store their corpses and blood into your system inventory, leaving almost no visible traces aside from those made by Marcus and Nikolai’s battle.]
[After you obtained the Spirit Manifestation Core, you didn’t hesitate to deactivate your multiplied avatar, returning your focus to your main body in Zenith.]
[Just as your multiplied avatar disappeared, a Spirit Avatar Master from the Association had appeared, bewildered by the sudden turn of events.]
[Due to your Hint Prompts, you knew someone had already stalked Marcus and Nikolai, like a mantis stalking the cicada. However, he didn’t know about you, the oriole from above.]
[Even when you had appeared and assassinated both Marcus and Nikolai, that guy from the Association still couldn’t see anyone.]
[He merely saw a red line appear, which had cut Marcus and Nikolai’s neck, then their body and all traces of their corpse disappeared.]
[The reason why you didn’t kill that guy from the Association was due to not wanting to alert the Association yet. Moreover, that guy was at Mid Silver rank and had a somewhat troublesome ability.]
[Fighting him didn’t benefit you in any way, so you still took the cautious approach.]
[After you returned your focus to the train, you sighed in relief, ’That guy shouldn’t have seen me.’]
[’I had maxed out the multiplier of my Presence Concealment and even covered my entire body with blood, showing no discernible features.’]
[Remembering that guy’s troublesome Spirit Avatar, you didn’t want to fight him yet.]
[’To think this station world has this much variety in abilities. That guy’s Spirit Avatar, Death Knife, allowed him to have a 5% chance to cause instant death on anything he cuts.’]
[’If it were only that, I wouldn’t be worried much since I can kite him. However, his second Spirit Avatar ability allows him to sacrifice a year of his lifespan to cause instant death judgement on his target.’]
[’If he sacrifices 10 years of his life, then he has a 50% chance of causing his target to die. Twenty years would be a 100% chance.’]
[Of course, it wasn’t as exaggerated as you’d believe it to be. While a 100% chance would indeed guarantee instant death, it still depends on the gap between ranks.]
[However, you are at Peak Silver rank and in the same rank as him, even if not the same stage. That guy’s ability can even affect a rank higher than him, but at the cost of up to 50% reduced chance.]
[In other words, if you fought that guy and he activated his second ability, you would undoubtedly die if he dared to sacrifice 20 years of his lifespan.]
[That was the main reason why you didn’t want to fight him. Even if the Passenger Safety Mechanism could allow you to return back to the train at a low health and avoid instant death, it still would waste your chance.]
[After all, the cooldown of Passenger Safety Mechanism is three days, which might not be long, but isn’t short either.]
[’This station world cannot be underestimated. I’ll try my luck first if me, Jade, and Scarlet can get decent Spirit Avatars.’]
[Taking out the Spirit Manifestation Core, you placed it on the living room table, much to Jade and Scarlet’s surprise.]
[Jade immediately asked, "Darling, were you hurt?"]
[Noticing Jade snuggling to you and embracing you, you assured her, "I’m fine. I was quite cautious, so it worked out in the end."]
[Feeling that it wasn’t enough, you thoroughly explained what happened when you were exploring the station world through your multiplied avatar.]
[After Jade and Scarlet listened to your explanation, they both breathed a sigh of relief.]
[Recalling your mention of Noel, who has the Death Knife spirit avatar, Scarlet spoke out, "It will be best if we can avoid him. If not, then we might have to take drastic measures."]
[Scarlet wasn’t the type to needlessly kill anyone, but after spending time with you and Jade, she realized that there were indeed people who had to be killed.]
[Even if Noel wasn’t evil, the fact that he could threaten the life of you, Jade, and Scarlet meant that his existence was an eyesore to Zenith.]
[While you didn’t tell Jade and Scarlet about this entire reality being a simulation, they still noticed that you often treated important things, such as life, lightly.]
[They noticed that the way you look at others and treat them, especially those in the station worlds, was like NPCs.]
[However, since you didn’t treat them that way and you were indeed genuine to Jade and Scarlet, both of them didn’t mind and never pointed it out.]
[Hearing Scarlet’s words, Jade nodded, "As long as we see Noel again, as long as we have the means to do so, we’ll kill him."]
[As she stated that, Jade observed the Spirit Manifestation Core and, with a flick of her wrist, two more appeared.]
[Jade took one of them and left two of them on the living room table. Scarlet took the other, and so you were left with one.]
[As you took the Spirit Manifestation Core, you used your Train Conductor Authority to check its item description.]
{Spirit Manifestation Core (Peak Silver): A spirit core that allows anyone to manifest a Spirit Avatar. In a certain station world, people there who are worthy can awaken a Spirit Avatar on their own.
But for those who couldn’t, this core exists to solve that problem. It also allows anyone outside of natives from that station world to awaken a Spirit Avatar.
The higher the grade of the Spirit Manifestation Core, the higher the starter grade of the Spirit Avatar manifested.}
