Douluo: Transforming Xiao Wu into a Zerg Queen Was Just the Beginning-Chapter 34 - 35 – Total War Protocol Activated
Chapter 34 - 35 – Total War Protocol Activated
Constructing a colossal Overlord-class Zerg warship was incredibly costly—each one consumed the equivalent energy of nearly one hundred standard Overlords.
But Lin Fan didn't hesitate.
If he was going to build one, he might as well go all out.
He equipped each Overlord Warship with two Tier-1 Hatcheries and an embedded Creep Mat, turning it into a fully mobile spawning fortress.
Inside each warship, he also loaded numerous soul beast corpses and installed a miniature Corruption Pool. The Corruption Pool continually broke down the biomass to refuel the hatcheries and maintain the Creep—providing sustainable aerial energy without needing to land.
According to the Overmind's calculations, a fully-loaded Overlord Warship—operating at full spawn capacity with Suicide Bugs—could continuously bombard enemy positions for two and a half hours straight.
At that speed, while flying and dropping Suicide Bugs nonstop, it could level approximately one-twentieth of the Star Dou Great Forest.
If it focused fire on a single area... even a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast would be forced to shed its skin.
Of course, such nonstop production and bombardment required a tremendous amount of energy. With Lin Fan's current reserves, he could only sustain 15 minutes of full bombardment.
But 15 minutes of uninterrupted assault was nothing to scoff at. The operation that eliminated the Ten-Thousand-Year Phoenix-Tail Crest Serpent only used around 20–30 Suicide Bugs.
In contrast, a single Overlord Warship, at current hatchery and Creep production speeds, could spawn over a thousand Suicide Bugs per minute.
Lin Fan had already enhanced both hatchery output and Creep generation speed using extracted genes.
Now, his Zerg army had reached a point where it could be classified as a low-level planetary infestation—a small-scale cosmic calamity in the making.
The Overlord Warships made Lin Fan's heart race. He gritted his teeth and committed to producing three of them.
To incubate such massive beasts, he temporarily moved his Tier-3 Hive to the surface—his underground lair simply wasn't large enough to accommodate them. Once construction was complete, he relocated the Hive back underground.
These warships were massive—too large to birth without literally tearing the ceiling off the hive complex.
Two of the warships were fully loaded with energy and designated for Suicide Bug mass deployment. They took off and ascended to altitudes exceeding 10,000 meters, even higher than the reconnaissance Overlords hovering above the forest.
This helped avoid detection from ground-based high-spiritual-pressure entities or hidden old monsters.
The third Overlord Warship was loaded with a mix of Zerg units and a massive energy reserve. It entered deep stealth mode and would act as a mobile second base. If the war effort failed, Lin Fan could retreat there, land somewhere else, and rebuild his forces in under an hour.
A literal contingency plan for rising from the ashes.
Beyond the Suicide Bugs, Enchantment Parasites, and Overlord Warships, Lin Fan had successfully bred two additional powerful Zerg units:
The Roach
The Corruptor

The Roaches had already proven their worth during the Phoenix-Tail Crest Serpent extermination. Their thick armor made them incredibly tough—so much so that even a ten-thousand-year soul beast had to go all out just to crush one.
If Roaches were deployed alongside Zerglings as frontline tanks, enemy units would suffer immensely.
They weren't just durable. Thanks to fused steel-body genes and bio-regenerative molecules, a Roach that survived a fight could recover completely in under five minutes when paired with Creep regeneration.
They were the ideal frontline defenders—cheap, tough, reliable. While they lacked high offensive power, what Lin Fan needed most wasn't more damage dealers—it was meat shields that could take hits and survive.
Each Roach could easily replace ten Zerglings in the cannon-fodder role. A worthy trade.
As for the Corruptors, they resembled grotesque, lizard-like insects. Though only palm-sized, they could secrete a highly corrosive acid. According to the Overmind's analysis, this substance could even melt the bones of a ten-thousand-year soul beast.
However, Corruptors required significant energy to hatch. Specialized units like these always consumed more resources than brute-force types.
Lin Fan stood back and looked over the updated Zerg Hive Complex with satisfaction.
His underground lair had expanded into a space the size of several football stadiums. Zerg units moved in constant, purposeful streams, fulfilling their assigned roles.
Those without current tasks stood in perfectly organized ranks on the distant Creep-covered fields, ready to launch into battle at any moment.
Tunnels extended in every direction from the hive, connecting the surface and other outposts.
In the outer zones of the Star Dou Great Forest, within the lower-tier soul beast regions, Lin Fan's underground empire now controlled nearly one-third of the territory.
He stood proudly before his Tier-3 Hive, gazing upon the vast, seething black tide of the Swarm. His heart swelled with pride and anticipation.
"Overmind," he said calmly, "give me a current overview of my Zerg forces."

The psychic network of the Zerg lit up the spiritual cosmos, each unit a glimmer of light.
The mental energy feedback alone made Lin Fan feel euphoric—his mind sharper, more alert, processing information faster than ever before.
He closed his eyes and synced with the high-altitude Overlord surveillance network.
Every corner of the outer Star Dou Great Forest came into view. The entire low-tier soul beast region lay exposed beneath his perception.
Thousands of visual feeds opened in his mind at once—but Lin Fan handled it with ease.
Such was the hidden benefit of being the Overmind.
The more units he commanded, the stronger his own psychic strength became.
Within the feeds, soul beasts of various ages were shown lounging, hunting, or resting. Lin Fan smirked.
All of them... walking energy points.
"It's time we gave the Star Dou Great Forest a little taste of what's coming. Overmind—initiate the plan."
"Begin full-scale assault."
"Advance from the outer regions toward the core. Initiate: Zerg Total War Protocol!"
[As you command, Supreme Overmind.]
