Chapter 35: Chapter 35: The Great Battle

Executing martial arts and transforming power into forms to launch attacks is known as the release of True Yuan.

Only cultivators in the Transformative Realm could perform the release of True Yuan, as those in the Qi Refining Realm might be able to cultivate True Qi, but due to the fact that its power isn’t strong enough, they are still incapable of releasing True Qi.

Those who could achieve it were very few, with almost none having been seen before.

Therefore, when Feng Wuchen, at the Fourth Layer of the Qi Refining Realm, managed to release True Qi, and the power of his Fiery Blade was incredibly strong, it shocked everyone present.

“Who would have thought that Chen Er, at the Fourth Layer of the Qi Refining Realm, could actually execute a sword technique!” Feng Zhengxiong stared at his son in a daze, his eyes filled with disbelief.

“It’s unbelievable! The power of the sword technique is terrifying!” Feng Qianyang also gazed at Feng Wuchen, stunned.

...

Yu Wanxiong, Xiao Qingqing, Mo Kun, Mo Yuankong and the others, all had faces full of shock.

How robust True Qi must be in order to perform True Qi release? Even the number one talent of the Empire couldn’t do it at the Qi Refining Realm; isn’t Feng Wuchen a monster?

“It seems my younger brother’s master must be an incredibly formidable fighter, otherwise how could he possess such a powerful sword technique?” Feng Yuan wondered, guessing with shock in his heart.

Those hiding in the room and observing the battle had long since been dumbfounded.

Seizing the opportunity while everyone was in a state of shock, Feng Wuchen didn’t hesitate to charge at Mo Yu.

Mo Yu, filled with fear, watched as Feng Wuchen rushed towards him, trembling all over, his face drained of color, unable to utter a word.

“Yu’er, be careful!” Mo Yuankong was the first to snap back to reality, his face dramatically shifting as he bellowed in panic, rushing over at the same time.

“Where do you think you’re going!” Feng Qianyang hurried to block him.

“Get out of my way!” Mo Yuankong roared furiously, “Feng Wuchen, if you dare to kill my son, I’ll tear you to pieces!”

Feng Wuchen’s lips curled into a vicious cold smile as the Fiery Blade mercilessly pierced through Mo Yu’s chest, blood splattering out.

Feng Wuchen simply ignored Mo Yuankong’s threats, treating them like air.

“Yu’er!” Mo Yuankong roared in panic, his heart bleeding as he watched his son fall to the ground, overwhelmed by grief and fury.

Withdraw the Fiery Blade, Feng Wuchen sneered coldly, “Too weak, frightened out of his wits.”

“Mo Yu!” Mo Lei bellowed, rage erupting from within him, then he dashed crazily towards Feng Wuchen.

“This is outrageous!” Mo Kun thundered in rage, wishing he could split Feng Wuchen in two with a single palm strike.

Regrettably, Mo Kun was faced with Feng Zhengxiong and to kill Feng Wuchen, he had to defeat Feng Zhengxiong first.

“Mo Kun, Mo Ling’er made a wrong decision, I wonder if she will regret it,” spoke Feng Zhengxiong with a cold smile, feeling proud and happy for Feng Wuchen.

“Lei’er! Kill Feng Wuchen!” shouted Mo Kun grimly, his fierce gaze fixed on Feng Zhengxiong as his murderous intent grew more terrifying.

Mo Lei, fueled by anger, charged up, his speed breathtakingly fast, and before anyone knew it, a sword appeared in his hand!

Mo Lei was a cultivator in the Transformative Realm, far more powerful than Feng Wuchen.

“Brother Feng, be careful!” Ling Xiaoxiao shouted worriedly.

“Think you can bully my son? Ask your mother if I agree!” Xiao Qingqing said coldly with anger, ready to charge forward.

“Want to save your son? Ask me if I agree!” Just then, a figure had already rapidly moved to block Xiao Qingqing’s path.

“Second Uncle, kill her!” Mo Lei said coldly, as he charged towards Feng Wuchen, his long sword fiercely swinging forth.

“You think you can kill me?” Xiao Qingqing spoke coldly, her beautiful eyes revealing unprecedented ferocity.

“Younger brother!” Feng Yuan exclaimed in shock, wanting to aid him, but unable to disengage.

“Go help Wuchen quickly!” shouted Feng Yunshan.

Feng Wuchen’s expression grew grave as he narrowly dodged the long sword’s attack, and guessing that Mo Yu would take the chance to launch his own assault,

So, as he dodged the long sword in an instant, Feng Wuchen urged his Wind Attribute, retreating even faster, creating distance between himself and Mo Lei.

However, Mo Lei was even faster, catching up with Feng Wuchen in mere moments.

Feng Wuchen’s expression changed slightly, as Mo Lei’s cultivation far exceeded his own, and without anyone to aid him, Feng Wuchen was no match for him.

Although Feng Wuchen had the memories and extensive experience of the Evil Dragon, if the opponent’s strength was too great, even if Feng Wuchen could see through the opponent’s moves, he couldn’t avoid them, because his own speed was inferior to the enemy’s.

“Feng Wuchen, meet your death!” Mo Lei roared, his claw aiming towards Feng Wuchen, containing the potent power of True Yuan.

Feng Wuchen had no way to avoid the attack and could only brace himself as he thrust out his sword.

“Clang!”

The clash of Mo Lei’s claw and the Fiery Blade’s tip emitted a crisp sound, the sword tip stopped half an inch from his claw by a powerful force.

“Hmph! A peerless genius? Today, I will destroy you and avenge Mo Yu,” declared Mo Lei viciously, his killing intent skyrocketing.

The overwhelming force from the blow sent Feng Wuchen flying backward, his arm in severe pain, the Fiery Blade nearly slipping from his grasp.

His inner qi and blood churned violently – had Feng Wuchen’s body not been so resilient, he would have likely been spewing blood by now.

“Mo Lei is far faster than me,” Feng Wuchen frowned and thought to himself.

“Chen Er!” Feng Zhengxiong looked on with concern, knowing full well his son’s opponent was Mo Lei.

Even though Feng Wuchen could release True Qi, even though his strength far exceeded his own cultivation level, the gap between him and Mo Lei was too great to overcome.

“Be careful, younger brother, you are no match for him!” Feng Zhan bellowed, frantic with worry.

“Young Master!” the people of the Feng family exclaimed in alarm, all wanting to go to his aid, but they were firmly entangled by the Mo family.

“Kill Feng Wuchen! Kill him for me!” Mo Yuankong roared with a commanding tone.

How could Mo Yuankong let Feng Wuchen live after his own son was killed?

Having blasted Feng Wuchen away, Mo Lei didn’t give him a chance to breathe. He charged ferociously once again, reaching through the air, and the longsword that was flung earlier flew back to him.

Mo Lei didn’t take seriously an opponent at the Fourth Layer of the Qi Refining Realm.

“Ding!”

Just as Feng Wuchen regained his stability, the Fiery Blade plunged fiercely into the ground with a crisp ring. Instantly, Feng Wuchen pressed his palms together, his gaze viciously fixed on Mo Lei.

The Feng clan was worried, but on Feng Wuchen’s face, there was no hint of concern, only coldness and ferocity.

A powerful force emanated from Feng Wuchen’s body. His hair moved as if in a breeze, and it looked like he was ready to meet Mo Lei’s force head-on!

“So overconfident!” sneered Mo Lei with disdain.

“Is he trying to get himself killed?” Yu Wanxiong frowned, surprised at Feng Wuchen’s actions.

Such a huge gap in strength, yet he still wants to clash head-on?

Seeing Feng Wuchen’s stance, everyone knew he planned to resist directly, but wasn’t that suicidal?

Could it be that Feng Wuchen had some kind of trump card?

Robust green True Qi burst out wildly, soon condensing into a green energy shield around Feng Wuchen’s body!

“Feng Wuchen’s True Qi is incredibly robust, out of the ordinary!” Yu Wanxiong furrowed his brows again.

Those present once again felt the intensity of Feng Wuchen’s solid green True Qi, shocked to the core, and their gazes returned to him.

“Intermediate Yellow-Rank Martial Technique! Wind Breaker Fist!”

Ignoring Feng Wuchen’s sturdy green energy shield, Mo Lei bellowed and threw a punch ferociously.

“Boom!”

The punch, filled with formidable strength, landed solidly on the energy shield. With a thunderous explosion, the shield shattered instantly, and Feng Wuchen was sent flying by the powerful blast.

“So that’s how it is.” Yu Wanxiong finally understood.

The purpose of Feng Wuchen’s energy shield was to minimize damage. The shield absorbed most of Mo Lei’s strength, allowing Feng Wuchen to sustain the least amount of injury.

However, the blast still injured Feng Wuchen, who now had a trail of blood at the corner of his mouth.

“Let’s see how long you can last!” Mo Lei continued his pursuit, giving Feng Wuchen no chance at all.

But as Feng Wuchen was blasted away, he had created some distance and won a bit of time, with many Feng clan guards desperately rushing to his aid.

But their strength was far from enough to block Mo Lei.

Hastily moving his body, he struck relentlessly with his sword, the guards falling one after another.

In just a few blinks, Mo Lei had closed in on Feng Wuchen again, his sword ruthlessly aiming for him.

“Brother Feng!” Ling Xiaoxiao couldn’t hold back any longer. She activated her True Qi and, moving incredibly fast, turned into a black shadow that rushed forward.

Ling Xiaoxiao appeared in front of Feng Wuchen, her face stony cold. She formed intricate symbols with her hands, ready to deploy a martial technique to block.

“Xiaoxiao, get out of here!” Feng Wuchen exclaimed, his anxiety sky-high.

Even though Ling Xiaoxiao’s cultivation was at the Seventh Level of the Qi Refining Realm, she was still no match for Mo Lei.

At the moment Ling Xiaoxiao made her move, from a hidden spot, a mysterious man slightly furrowed his brows, a hint of killing intent flashing in his eyes.

“Hmpf! I’ll send you both on your way together!” Mo Lei sneered, his eyes brimming with even more ferocity.

Just as Mo Lei’s sword was about a meter from Ling Xiaoxiao, and as she was about to unleash her martial technique, a black shadow moved at high speed.

“Ding!”

Right when Mo Lei’s sword was half an inch from Ling Xiaoxiao, a crisp sound rang out as a pair of fingertips clamped onto the tip of the sword, stopping it from advancing even half an inch more!

With a fierce look, Mo Lei snapped at the newcomer, “Pavilion Master Yu, do you realize what you are doing?”

The one who made the move was Yu Wanxiong, who timely intervened to stop Mo Lei.

“Yu Wanxiong! How dare you meddle in the affairs of the Mo family!” Mo Kun roared furiously. Mo Lei had been moments away from killing Feng Wuchen, but Yu Wanxiong interfered unexpectedly.

“Preposterous! Yu Wanxiong! How dare you save Feng Wuchen! After we destroy the Feng clan, your Wanbao Pavilion is next!” Mo Yuankong raged, his face swollen with pulsing veins.

Mo Yuankong’s threat was completely ignored by Yu Wanxiong. By intervening, he had already braced himself for the worst.

Feng Zhengxiong and the others hadn’t expected Yu Wanxiong to lend a hand either, but they were simultaneously relieved.

“Pavilion Master Yu, aren’t you afraid of offending the Mo family?” asked Feng Wuchen in surprise, knowing that the Mo family had the support of the Huangfu family behind them, something Yu Wanxiong was well aware of.

At that, Yu Wanxiong answered with a faint smile, “I couldn’t control myself and just acted. Regretting it now is probably too late.”

“Ding!”

After speaking, Yu Wanxiong exerted a little strength and snapped Mo Lei’s sword.

Yu Wanxiong’s cultivation had also reached the Ninth Level of the Transformative Realm. Mo Lei was no match for him and, left with no choice, cautiously backed away.

“Yu Wanxiong! You’re asking for death!” Mo Kun bellowed, “Huangfu, kill Yu Wanxiong!”
