Dragon System: Red Dragon Legacy-Chapter 35: Shopping Date
When Orion returned to his room, he didn’t fall asleep immediately.
Instead, he decided to check his status window. After making sure Max and Axl were already asleep, he spoke softly.
"Status, open."

Every stat had risen significantly. His endurance jumped by a whole hundred.
That wasn’t just good—it was great, Orion thought, grinning.
And his Odorless skill had also ranked up.
"Ohhh... a new title? This must be because I acquired the Seed of the World Tree." Orion muttered after noticing the title.
He cleared his throat. "System, can you tell me what the ’Seed of the World Tree’ is, and how did I acquire it?
[Certainly, Host.]
[The Seed of the World Tree is the primordial source of life in this world.
Your life force has been linked to the World Tree, granting you access to the purest form of life energy.
To fully utilize the Seed of the World Tree, it is strongly advised that you train your soul power.]
[As for how you acquired it—
the Seed was bestowed upon you directly by the World Tree herself when she summoned your tamed beast, Axl, to her realm.]
"Oh... wow. Just... wow," Orion whispered.
"I can’t believe I’m this lucky. At this rate, I feel like I’m burning through all my luck points at once."
Still, questions lingered in his mind.
’Why was Axl summoned by the World Tree?
And why would the World Tree give something so precious to me?’
But he knew he wouldn’t get those answers anytime soon, so he pushed the thoughts aside.
"Alright then. Tell me the perks of having the Seed of the World Tree as my life force."
[Certainly.]
[Your life force is now significantly more robust.]
[Even at the brink of death, it will not be easily destroyed due to its connection to the World Tree.]
[Additionally, it strengthens your soul and greatly enhances the effectiveness of your astral energy.]
Orion couldn’t help it—he burst into quiet laughter.
"This is ridiculous... in the best way possible."
With his stats massively increased and an absurdly powerful life force flowing through him, he felt light-headed from all the happiness.
The next morning, Orion woke up hearing Lilian shouting his name.
He groaned and sat up, rubbing his eyes.
Honestly, he much preferred Naomi waking him up rather than lilian. Naomi sounded so–motherly.
"Alright, Lilian, I’m up," he called out.
"You can stop yelling—I’ll be out in a minute."
After quickly freshening up, he headed down to the dining room.
The moment he entered, he was met with Lilian’s sharp glare.
"You—do you have any idea what time it is?" she snapped.
"It’s already noon! Eat fast—we still have to go shopping for your clothes!"
Seeing how angry she was, Orion wisely chose not to defend himself. That would only make things worse.
He ate in silence, and soon after, they headed out.
This time, they didn’t take a carriage. Instead, they walked through the noble district.
They soon entered a large, luxurious clothing store. The first thing that crossed Orion’s mind was how expensive everything must be—but with the money he had now, he figured he could manage.
"Alright, look around and see what you like," Lilian said.
But as Orion examined the displays, his expression grew increasingly uncomfortable. Every outfit was covered in pearls, gemstones, and elaborate embroidery. The fabrics were thick, colorful, and extravagant.
"They look great on display," he said honestly, "but I don’t think I like any of this. It’s too... gimmicky."
"What are you talking about?" Lilian shot back.
"This is the trendiest shop in the entire district! Look—this would suit you perfectly."
She pointed at a long red coat with rich fabric, layered designs, and jewelry woven all over it.
Orion nearly gagged just imagining himself wearing it.
Instead, he walked up to a salesperson.
"Ma’am, do you have anything simple? Like a blazer or jacket—and some plain pants?"
The woman blinked in confusion.
"I’m sorry, sir... I don’t quite understand."
Orion sighed and decided to search on his own.
Eventually, he found a quieter section of the store—clothing meant for noble servants. A pair of pants immediately caught his eye. Though it was part of a butler set, it was close enough to the black trousers he liked.
"Do you have these in my size?" he asked, pointing.
The saleswoman hesitated. He had come in with a Hero Candidate—surely he was joking?
But Orion was serious. If he couldn’t buy what he wanted, he’d make it himself.
Lilian walked over, giving him a strange look, but said nothing.
"Are you sure you don’t want to browse the main section a bit more, sir?" the woman asked.
"No. I’ll take three pairs of these."
She finally nodded and packed three black trousers in his size.
Back in the main section, Orion’s eyes fell on a black suit. With a few adjustments—stripping away the belts and pearls—it could easily be transformed into a sleek blazer.
Orion instructed the sales lady exactly what he wanted.
The saleswoman looked horrified. As a designer, she felt like she was about to dismantle a masterpiece—but business was business.
After some time, she returned with the modified outfit.
Orion then found a shirt that only needed minor adjustments.
Watching him work, Lilian couldn’t decide whether to laugh or cry.
"You’re a really strange guy," she said.
Orion pretended not to hear and went to change.
When he stepped out of the fitting room, even Lilian had to admit it.
The outfit was elegant, simple, and stylish. What she had expected to look plain instead looked effortlessly cool—and it highlighted Orion’s already handsome features.
"What do you think?" Orion asked.
"I’ll admit it," Lilian said honestly.
"You look amazing. Where did you learn this?"
But the biggest reaction came from the saleswoman.
"Ah—wow! This is revolutionary! It’s so simple, yet stylish. It could easily be the next big thing in fashion," she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.
"Sir, are you a designer yourself? You have an extraordinary talent!"
He felt a little guilty taking credit for something that wasn’t his—but he was so flattered by the saleslady’s reaction that he didn’t correct her.
"No, I’m not a designer," Orion replied modestly.
"It just came naturally to me." He had a shit eating grin on his face.
"Sir, if you don’t mind... may I use this design?"
"Sure," he said casually.
"If you start selling clothes like this, I won’t have to go through all this trouble again."
"Thank you so much!" she said excitedly.
"As an appreciation, you may take anything from this store for free."
Orion turned to Lilian.
"What do you think?. Do you want anything?"
"N-no," she replied quickly.
"I already have plenty."
"Come on," he said with a smile.
"Pick something. Let’s call it my first gift to you."
Lilian’s face flushed at his words.
To her ears, they sounded far more romantic than Orion probably intended.
