Another Heaven Ascension cultivator died without being able to escape. Today, everyone saw how helpless even mighty figures could become if they were careless.

Total silence enveloped the area. The cultivators from the Yin Yang Harmony Sect and the Crimson Flame Palace immediately put some distance between themselves and their opponents as they did not know what had transpired.

If it was, then they were in a far deeper hole than they had imagined themselves to be. Nothing went right after the Frozen Heart Sect finally decided to respond.

"E-Elders, this is what happened to the seniors watching over the frontline city. It was done by the Frozen Heart Sect somehow." The disciple who had gone silent before spoke with a little dread in his voice.

She did not want to lose them all. Attacking the Northern Region was impossible now, so it was better to just leave.

"How about just surrender, Senior Yan. Everything will settle peacefully, and a lot of bloodshed can be avoided that way." Xuan Lian said lightly, as she knew that Yan Lihua was not going to accept that.

As she had expected, Yan Lihua looked at her expressionlessly before turning back. "If you invade the Eastern Region, then there will definitely be a lot of bloodshed. I can promise you that much." After saying that, she spoke loudly enough to be heard by all the disciples inside the city. "Let us head back. Leave the Northern Region."

Mo Chen was reluctant, but that was the only option left for them. "Let us leave." His voice thundered around the city as well.

The Heaven Ascension cultivators burning their blood qi immediately entered the city. They were about to enter a state of extreme weakness, and it was better to be inside the city while protected when that happened.

The onlookers finally sighed. The outcome of this war was not what they had expected it to be. They even felt pity for those factions which had sided with the Yin Yang Harmony Sect and the Crimson Flame Palace.

Panic spread throughout the whole city. Those who were weaker were praying to the heavens so that they would not be attacked, and just as that thought appeared in their minds, many disciples from the Frozen Heart Sect landed on the city walls while also blocking the riverside.

Zi Mei, Hua Ying, and Lan Yue followed and calmly arrived beside Xuan Lian.

"Do not give us that look. If you want to attack, you can." Zi Mei again taunted Mo Chen while looking at the seven Heaven Ascension cultivators with an amused expression.

Their blood qi was already about to run out, and once that happened, they were basically dead, especially when no one could save them.

The Heaven Ascension cultivators looked at each other and gritted their teeth. "Attack."

Since they were going to die, it was better to just fight. Some of them even thought of exploding their cores to destroy as much of the city as they could, even if it meant harming their own disciples, but it was not possible due to the oath of not harming allies in any way that they had taken.

Suddenly, they all felt a constricting spiritual sense, and when they looked towards it, Xuan Xue had appeared above their heads, looking at them with a deadpan expression as if she could read their intentions.
