Dual Cultivator with a cultivation system-Chapter 556: Ch-: Spar (3)
Although Mo Xian could change his angle and attack her, that would only prompt her to create another steel wall. Worse yet, she might retaliate.
"Huff, huff, I give up!" Mo Xian finally stopped attacking and surrendered after a while. Looking at the steel wall standing tall before him, he felt a sense of powerlessness and dejection.
"Hah, see, Wang Ming? Even though I am not freakishly strong like you, I am still among the top in my generation," Wu Jing said in a proud tone.
"Yes, yes, you are very strong," Wang Ming’s lips twitched as he saw her childish behavior. He did not mention his girls, especially Bai Lingxi, who was of a similar age and could crush her like an ant. Well, it was because he had buffed them up, so it was still like cheating.
Wu Jing pouted, sensing his sarcasm, and held his hand. Seeing this, many of the audience had their eyes bulge out in disbelief.
"Hey, hey, am I seeing things?"
"This guy seems to be from the Yang-Yin Sect."
"Damn, why is she holding the hand of someone like those guys from that characterless sect?"
A princess and beauty like Wu Jing acting this chummy when she could literally have any man in this land? It was simply too unbelievable, almost like a fairytale.
"W-What the hell was that?" someone pointed at the stands with trembling fingers. "Why would the princess approach him, even holding his hand and acting like a girl in love?"
Hearing the shocked voice, someone shrugged her shoulders and said, "Maybe she’s greatly impressed by the Yang-Yin Sect and wants to become his partner?"
"Like hell!" those who heard the spoken words refuted.
"If I may be so bold, Princess Wu Jing, who might this gentleman be?" the judge close to them asked hesitantly.
"Oh, him? This is my friend Wang Ming," Wu Jing introduced.
’Friend... huh? Seems more than a friend,’ the judge thought as his eyebrows twitched.
Wu Jing did not say the truth—that he was her fiancé—as that would be officially announced by the King and Queen later.
"Hey, Wang Ming, do you want to spar with me?" Wu Jing asked with glinting eyes.
"You... want to fight me?" Wang Ming asked with a surprised look on his face and looked at her as if she were some kind of idiot.
"Of course. You have to hold back... or it will be meaningless," Wu Jing’s eyebrows twitched when she saw the look Wang Ming was giving her, and she hurriedly explained.
"Sure, let’s go..." Wang Ming said, but before he could jump onto the stage, Wu Jing held him back.
"I am at the top of the rankings. You have to defeat the others first," Wu Jing said with a mischievous smile.
"Everyone, listen to me. This is my friend Wang Ming, who challenged me to a fight..." Wu Jing said.
"What? The princess’s friend?"
"She is friends with someone from the Yang-Yin Sect?"
"How courageous... how does someone from the sect with the weakest combat power dare to act so presumptuous?"
The fighters looked at Wang Ming with a bit of displeasure, which caused his lips to twitch as he looked at Wu Jing speechlessly for stirring up trouble. Still, he felt this was not over.
"Oh, and he also said that all of you are rubbish and that he can take you all on at the same time," Wu Jing said.
’Princess, are you trying to get him killed? I thought he was your friend,’ the judge who was nearby thought. His eyes widened in shock, and his jaw dropped to the ground upon hearing Wu Jing’s lie as he looked at Wang Ming with a hint of pity.
Wang Ming’s lips twitched as he looked at her speechlessly.
There was a moment of silence after Wu Jing said those words. Then Wang Ming sensed a rush of emotions erupt from the crowd—anger, hatred, and envy—all directed at him.
"Damn, this pretty boy, who does he think he is?"
"Does he dare look down on us?"
"Come down immediately if you dare!"
"If he doesn’t, drag him down!"
"If he wants to fight all of us, we will give him what he wants!"
The crowd reacted as at least fifty of them went up to the stage. They were all the top fighters below the top three. Even though they were angry, they did not underestimate him and sent the cream of the crop. Despite their anger, many of them were excited to fight and had appreciation in their eyes due to his boldness.
"Sigh." Wang Ming sighed as he jumped toward the stage under everyone’s watchful eyes.
"This is your first time here, so give me a minute to explain the rules," the judge said to him.
"One, you cannot use any defensive treasures. Two, under any circumstances, if you leave the arena, it will be considered your loss. Anything else goes."
"I don’t mind if he uses his defensive treasures. It’s fair if he uses them, as he is outnumbered," one of the disciples suddenly said, while the others nodded in agreement.
"Are you sure?" the judge asked him for confirmation.
"If that’s what he’s comfortable with, I don’t mind. It wouldn’t be fair to him if he cannot use them.
Wang Ming raised an eyebrow upon hearing them and smiled.
"Hm? No, it’s fine. I don’t use defensive treasures anyway," Wang Ming said with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Alright, begin!" the judge said, and instantly all of them charged their techniques.
"Be careful, we won’t be holding back," one of the disciples warned.
"Veil of Darkness," Wang Ming said as he vanished and merged with the shadows
.
"Where did he go?" The others exclaimed and went on alert, but in the next moment—
"Shit!"
"Damn, what kind of technique is this?"
"Damn, something is in my shadow!"
There was groaning and shouting as everyone fell one by one within the next few minutes.
Ten minutes later, all of the challengers were sprawled on the ground, and they did not even get the chance to fight back.
