Endless Evolution: Last Star-Chapter 1643: End of Sky Cube
Silvana and Riska were busy baking pumpkin ginger cookies, while Adam and Tron were deep in conversation.
"So, what happens now?" Adam asked with a casual wave of his hand.
Tron shrugged.
"To be honest, there's nothing special I could teach you at this point. I couldn't let you go until you understood how Ancient Energy and Dark Energy work. Now, you've gone through the two main stages.
"Obviously, the work isn't finished yet. You still need to hone your mastery of these two energy types. In your case, it would be especially effective to use your dark ability at least a few more times to understand all its possibilities and limits."
Tron poured himself a glass of wine. He wasn't in the mood for something as simple as juice right now.
"So, you can leave right now. I'm sure that even with your current abilities, you'll pose a whole new level of threat in the Dead Lands. But I'd advise you to stay here for at least a few more days. The Sky Cube, specifically the Gray Sky, offers immense opportunities for comprehensive training.
"Also, since I'm your mentor now, we'll spar regularly. But I'll be much more serious than before."
He smirked and glanced over his shoulder.
"I don't want to end up in the infirmary every time we fight."
Adam nodded, deep in thought.
'A few days... Tron is right, I'm in no rush. If Silvana hadn't organized the training, things wouldn't have gone so smoothly. I would have returned to the Dead Lands without control over all my energy and most likely made a chaotic choice in the middle of battle regarding the dark ability.'
He didn't know where he was headed next, but he understood that if his next target were the Blood of God, for real this time, it wouldn't be an easy task.
"So? What do you think?" Tron narrowed his eyes.
After a few moments, Adam nodded.
"Sure. I'll stay here until I'm confident in my abilities. I mean… I'm always confident, but… the events at the Primal Lands made me think."
"Hmm? How so?"
Adam scratched his cheek.
"First, there was my battle against my opponent. Everything was as usual, except that it was my first visit to the Primal Lands. But then… three different people, three times in a row, protected me from monsters trying to kill me."
Tron sighed heavily.
"Yeah, the Befallen Crown. Don't worry, every talented K4-Phantom has trouble with them. Although I must admit you're a special case. Still, if I were you, I'd be happy about it."
"Agh?"
Tron leaned back in his chair, relaxed.
"Think about it logically. If they want to kill you so badly, doesn't that mean they recognize your strength? Sure, the Befallen Crown are our enemies, but among their ranks there are quite a few ancient monsters and experienced warriors."
His gaze grew deeper.
"Think about it. The monsters that have lived in this world for hundreds or even thousands of years - monsters feared by other Lords and respected by the strongest, they are wary of your potential. They consider the power you might gain in the future dangerous if they don't stop you now."
Tron smirked as a gleam flashed in his eyes.
"You know, there's no praise more sincere than that from your enemy."
Adam didn't know how to react. On the one hand, it was good, but on the other, it meant that until he became strong enough, the Befallen Crown would use any opportunity presented to take him down.
"Well, that just means that while I can get stronger, I should take advantage of this opportunity, right?"
"Of course."
A few minutes later, Riska's voice rang out:
"Guys, the cookies will be ready soon!"
Tron smirked.
"Yeah, life at the farm definitely has its perks."
"Pffft, that's because you don't do anything and Riska does all the cooking herself!" Adam snorted.
"Hah, as if you aren't in the same situation?" He turned over his shoulder. "As far as I can see, Silvana is standing next to Riska."
Adam crossed his arms over his chest.
"I don't know how to bake cookies."
"Me neither." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
At the same time, Riska and Silvana exchanged glances. Light smiles played across their faces. They didn't mind making their Phantoms' stay a little easier while they were at the Citadel, because sooner or later, Adam and Tron would return to the Dead Lands.
Silvana's expression was full of determination.
"While he's here, I have to give it my all. Who knows what trials await him on his next mission! Baking a pie or cookies is nothing compared to fighting a dragon!"
Soon, the pumpkin-ginger cookies were on the table along with fruit juice.
And so began ten long days at the Sky Cube.
…
During this time, Tron used all his imagination to create suitable challenges for Adam through the Gray Sky.
These were not just training sessions to improve control over the Ancient Energy and Dark Energy. The challenges covered every aspect, from simple striking power and speed to accuracy and the simultaneous use of multiple abilities.
One of the main achievements during this training and the many sparring sessions was Adam's endurance and resilience.
All the energy in his Evolution Tree had an effect not only on his abilities but also on his body.
It used to be unnoticeable, but now that Adam had mastered the Ancient Energy and Dark Energy at a high level, his body had learned to use this power naturally as well.
One of the most important parts of Adam's training was regular battles against Tron. Sure, Adam couldn't defeat Tron in a fair fight since they were on different levels, but he got better and better every time.
True, Adam could have stayed at the Sky Cube for a few more days or even months, but he saw no need for it. He had already done more than 90% of the work. The rest he had to hone in real combat, not during training.
The Sky Cube had immense capabilities, but it still couldn't compare to a dangerous battle that made the blood boil and the heart tremble.
Tap.
Tron opened a bottle of expensive wine, pouring it into glasses.
"The time has come for our last supper here, our little feast."
He smiled and raised his glass.
"Let's make this a day to remember!"
Everyone else picked up their glasses.
"Yes!"
