Endless Leveling Done Right!-Chapter 607: Sword And Shield [Part 3]
Lala gently laid the unconscious Alex on the ground. His body was littered with cuts, minor burns, and bruises, but his life was not in danger.
With Fran in her arms, Lulu emerged beside her fellow alter. She gently set the unconscious dwarf right beside the silver-haired young man before fading into thin air.
Somewhere in the forest, the two Dim Sum Gods were still fighting.
Dim Dim’s usually happy face was fixed in a frown. In contrast, Reverse Dim Dim moved with visible ease, even finding time to pop open a can of Cola Cola as it evaded the other little bun’s brittle vials.
"Dim Dim!" Dim Dim pointed its little stubby hand at the other Dim Dim, telling it to take the fight seriously.
Reverse Dim Dim finished its drink in a single gulp and burped loudly before looking at its counterpart.
"Mada Mada Dane," Reverse Dim Dim mocked.
Angered by the latter’s blatant disregard, Dim Dim jumped high and rained hundreds of brittle vials upon Reverse Dim Dim, who only smirked at the incoming danger.
Booming sounds echoed in the forest as one of the brittle vials broke in midair and set off a chain reaction, obliterating a vast area of trees in the process.
White smoke rose up before dispersing a minute later.
At the center of a giant crater, Reverse Dim Dim stood unharmed, except it was now snacking on a bag of potato chips while looking provocatively at Dim Dim.
Without even saying a single word, Reverse Dim Dim asked, "Are you done?"
"Muuuuuuuuuuuuuh!" The angered little bun summoned countless magical shields and activated Alex’s skills, Fire Enchant and Shield Chaser.
These flaming shields rained down on Reverse Dim Dim, but the latter continued to munch on potato chips like the flaming shields about to hit it were no big deal.
Another series of chain explosions erupted in the forest. Dim Dim panted for breath while perched on top of its small magical shield, looking at where Reverse Dim Dim had stood earlier.
When the smoke dispersed, the Reverse Dim Dim was nowhere in sight.
But before Dim Dim could feel at ease, it sensed a presence right beside it.
"Dim Dim?" Reverse Dim Dim asked what the Dim Sum God was looking at while it surveyed the smoking crater on the ground.
It then munched noisily on another potato chip.
A moment later, a young man with short black hair appeared in front of them.
"It’s time to go, Dim Dim," Reverse Alex said.
Reverse Dim Dim nodded and stuffed the bag of potato chips into Dim Dim’s hands. It even patted the little bun’s head like the latter was its junior before jumping on to Reverse Alex’s head.
Lulu and Lala teleported behind the young man and joined hands to open a dark red portal that led to Reverse Arcana.
Alex gave the Dim Sum God a side-long glance before entering the portal without hesitation.
Lulu followed, and Lala was next.
But before crossing over, Lala pointed to her left.
"Alex and Fran are there nano," Lala said. "Don’t tell anyone I told you that, okay?"
After the little girl winked at Dim Dim, she stepped into the portal, which vanished a second later.
Dim Dim frowned, then glanced at the bag of potato chips in its hand. Begrudgingly, it reached inside and bit on a chip before flying toward where Alex and Fran were supposed to be.
———
The first to regain consciousness was Fran. Upon noticing Alex unconscious beside her, the color drained from her face.
The young man was riddled with injuries. She immediately fished out healing potions from her storage ring. Without wasting a second, she poured their contents over his wounds, going through three bottles just to get rid of his external injuries.
It would help Alex to drink a bottle, but he was in no state to take one. So Fran decisively took the fourth bottle and held its potion in her mouth. Pressing her lips against Alex, she slowly transferred the medicine, ensuring that he wouldn’t choke.
Alex’s internal injuries gradually healed. After a few minutes, Fran heard him groan. She looked at him in anticipation, watching as he opened his eyes.
"Fran?" Alex said weakly. "Are you alright?"
"Shouldn’t I be asking you that question?" Fran replied, her hand gently caressing the side of Alex’s face. "Are you still in pain? I patched you up with a few healing potions, but I wasn’t sure if they were working because you still look so hurt."
Alex’s clothes were scorched in many places, but since Fran had already applied healing potion to his body, the blisters had mostly faded away.
"I’m fine." Alex smiled. "Thank you, Fran."
The young man tried to stand up, but to his surprise, he couldn’t muster any strength in his legs.
"Alex, is there something wrong?" Fran asked.
"My legs feel like jelly. I don’t think I can get up now," Alex replied.
In fact, he also struggled to move his arms. It was like his entire body was devoid of strength. To think that it was from tanking just one of Reverse Alex’s attacks!
Alex had fought many strong opponents before. They had left him battered, yet he had always been able to stand back up. As Alex thought about what could have happened to his body, a golden streak of light descended from the sky.
"Dim Dim!" Dim Dim landed near Alex and Fran, still holding the bag of potato chips.
"I’m glad you’re fine, Dim Dim," Alex said, relieved. "Did the Reverse Dim Dim also fight with you?"
"Dim!" Dim Dim nodded.
"Who won?" Alex asked.
"... Dim!"
"A tie? Good job, Dim Dim."
"Ehe~" The little bun scratched its head and averted its gaze. It hadn’t lied when it said that it was a tie. Technically, it hadn’t been defeated by Reverse Dim Dim!
Fran was also relieved that the little bun didn’t seem hurt. In the end, she decided to carry Alex like a princess and head back to their camp, which was currently in chaos.
