Chapter 192: Chapter 192: He Never Lost His Memory at All

Caden paced anxiously in the living room, every minute dragging on like a year.

He knocked on the bathroom door again: "Silas, hurry up, I can’t hold it anymore."

Hearing the desperation in his voice, Silas curled his lips with a smug smile.

But he didn’t hurry to come out; instead, he dawdled in the bathroom for a while longer.

Only when Caden outside really couldn’t stand it anymore and was pounding on the door and yelling, did Silas finally open it.

He even put on a pained face and said, "I’m not done yet, but you can go first. I’ll continue later."

Caden wasn’t about to waste any more time, shoved him aside, and rushed into the bathroom.

In less than an hour, he’d gone five times.

The last time he stood up, both legs were shaking.

He nearly collapsed onto the floor.

Silas quickly grabbed his arm and, feigning concern, said, "All I did was pour you a cup of tea, no need to thank me so much."

Caden gritted his teeth in rage, glaring at Silas, "Did you drug my tea?"

Silas looked at Caden with pitiful, innocent eyes: "I didn’t. I drank the tea too, and nothing happened to me."

"Still denying it? Ever since I drank that tea you gave me, I’ve been running to the bathroom. Silas, you’re just out to get me, aren’t you?"

He refused to believe a ten-year-old kid could be this conniving; Silas’s amnesia had to be fake.

The thought that he was faking memory loss just to fool Sienna made the veins on Caden’s forehead throb.

He grabbed Silas by the collar, raising his fist: "I heard if you hit someone with brain damage again, it might cure their amnesia. Let me help you with that."

Silas didn’t dodge, but instead put on a horrified expression and looked toward Sienna.

"Sienna, save me."

Before Sienna could walk over, Lucy Rhodes darted over and kicked Caden right on the ass.

"Let go of my brother! He’s already traumatized enough. If you make it worse, you’re dead meat."

Caden gritted his teeth, "He’s lying to you all! He’s not amnesiac at all. I swear to God, Sienna, you’ve got to believe me."

Hearing him call her "Sienna" so affectionately, Lucy Rhodes was fuming.

Wasn’t he just hoping her brother would never recover, so he could keep pushing his buttons?

Then he could turn that so-called ’battlefield friendship’ with Sienna into something more.

As long as she was there, that was never gonna happen.

Lucy Rhodes grabbed Caden’s wrist and lowered her voice: "Let go of my brother. I have something to say to you."

Caden narrowed his dark eyes at her: "Trying to charm me again, huh? Lucy Rhodes, are you in on this amnesia scam with your brother? If you are, I’ll deal with you, too."

"Deal with your ass! Didn’t you get enough of me last night?"

Lucy Rhodes forcibly pried Caden’s hand away and pulled him into the bedroom.

She shoved him straight against the door, leaned in close, her warm lips brushing his ear.

Her voice was all coy and sultry: "Caden, you chased me all the way here for answers, didn’t you? Fine. I’ll give you a title right now."

Caden’s heart skipped a beat, eyes widening as he stared at her: "What kind of title?"

Lucy Rhodes traced her fingertip down Caden’s cheek, over his firm abs, finally landing on that sexy V-line.

She poked him there a few times, lips curling into a smile: "I’ll let you be my..."

The last two words Lucy Rhodes said were so quiet, but Caden still caught them.

When he heard it, all that excitement he’d worked up vanished in an instant.

He grit his teeth and said, "Nice, Lucy Rhodes. That’s what you said, remember."

And before Lucy Rhodes could react, he kissed her right on the lips.

That word really got under his skin—he poured all his frustration into that kiss.

His kiss was tangled and just a little vengeful, making it hard for Lucy Rhodes to brush him off for long.

She’d meant to push him away, but he dragged her right into his rhythm.

The two of them, both total novices, once they had a taste, just grew greedy and addicted.

The kiss heated up, and Caden’s hands began to roam all over Lucy Rhodes’s body.

Feeling that strong stimulation, Lucy Rhodes’s eyes flew wide open in shock.

She hurriedly pushed Caden away, out of breath: "Caden, what the hell are you doing?"

Caden gave a wicked grin, leaning close to her ear, lowering his voice: "Doing you."

That was exactly what she’d said to Caden the night before—now he was using it back on her.

Lucy Rhodes got a bad feeling and grabbed his wandering hand: "Quit it! This is someone else’s house!"

Caden nipped her ear, retaliating: "Then promise me—tonight you come to my place. I’ll show you how much I’m really worth."

As he spoke, his fingers squeezed, making Lucy Rhodes gasp softly despite herself.

This bastard—just how much did he play around abroad? She’d pulled every trick from the internet last night, and he still had more up his sleeve.

She struggled to keep steady and said, "Fine, stop now. I promise you."

Caden grinned and kissed her: "Lucy Rhodes, your body is way more honest than you are. It says it likes me a lot."

Lucy Rhodes shot him a glare: "Friends with benefits, that’s it! Forget making me fall for you. No chance."

Caden ground his teeth: "Lucy Rhodes, just you wait. Tonight, even if you’re begging me in tears, I won’t stop for anything."

The two of them stayed holed up in the room until their physical reactions finally died down before coming out.

Sienna was tutoring Silas and Julian.

One was working seriously on homework, the other was drawing, the scene looking all warm and happy.

Lucy Rhodes nudged Caden with her elbow: "Look at them—what a happy little family. Sienna’s really the heart of our home. Without her, we’d all fall apart."

Caden scoffed: "Why should your family’s happiness come at Sienna’s expense? She deserves her own life. She shouldn’t be dragged down by this damn responsibility."

"How do you know Sienna’s not doing this willingly? I can see she likes my brother, and she really loves Julian. That’s enough."

"What she feels for your brother is just obligation. For Julian, it’s because she thinks of him as her..."

’her son’—those words were almost out, but Caden forced them back down.

Only he and Chloe Nash knew that Sienna had had a child. No one else knew.

Not even Albie Kane and Sienna herself had ever told him.

Shows how painful that past must be for her.

Lucy Rhodes looked at him curiously: "Thinks of Julian as what? Caden, are you hiding something from me?"

Caden flicked her on the head: "As her son, can’t you tell? You’re such a dummy."

"Who told you to hit my head? What if you knock me stupid? If I can’t get married, I’ll blame you."

"You’re already dumb enough, can you actually get any dumber?"

"You’re the dummy. Your whole family’s dumb."

Their bickering disturbed Silas, who was supposed to be studying. He shot a dark look at them for a few seconds, then turned to Sienna and said, "Sienna, those two are hopeless. They’re just going to distract me. Kick them out, please."
