Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode-Chapter 448: Destroyed Domain
Chapter 448: Destroyed Domain
This war had spiraled into chaos in such a short time.
One moment, their plan was simple and that is to gather the remaining Celestials and Angels, form an alliance, and launch a coordinated retaliation.
But now... now they were rushing into the aftermath of another attack. Susanoo’s domain that Zeus said was a realm of storm and sword now possibly torn apart by the same cursed beings who attacked Gabriel and causing all of this chaos and corruption.
Bael flew silently beside Zeus, the two great powers marching through the void which is the strange space between realms.
The Demon King’s thoughts churned.
These anomalies — the man and the woman now — were dangerous. That much they knew. But this? This was not what he expected. They moved too fast and immediately struck too hard.
"How did they even reach Susanoo’s domain this quickly after Gabriel’s?" Bael wondered, fangs gritting slightly behind his lips.
The two domains were vastly apart, each separated by layer upon layer of realmspace. It would normally take days, even weeks, for a being to traverse such distances even for beings as powerful as Celestial, Demon Kings, or Archangels.
But the anomalies had found a way.
Beside him, Zeus was pale, his features locked in cold fury. Susanoo was not just another Celestial, he was Zeus’s comrade that had fought a war together.
Bael didn’t feel sentimental about any of the Celestials. But for this alliance to survive and for the cosmos to not fall into ruin he had to work with them. That is not a problem for him not like another Demon Kings.
"Maybe they have an artifact," Bael thought, "something that lets them leap across realms. But I’ve never heard of anything like that. Not even among the higher being’s weapons. Or perhaps... they weren’t using items.
"Maybe it’s a skill. Some inherent power from whatever corruption their power coming from. Or... maybe someone is feeding them information." he mused darkly.
Then, a name struck his mind like a knife.
The World Masters.
They were their servants for so long. The higgher beings like him will forget about them and thinks that they were unimportant. But Bael remembered something. The World Masters had access to the coordinates of every realm and domain.
And suddenly the idea slithered through his mind.
"Did the World Masters betray us?"
Bael’s eyes narrowed and he turned toward Zeus.
"Zeus," he said, his tone low and edged.
The Celestial turned, his scowl deep and voice harsh. "What?"
Bael ignored the tone and spoke, voice steady. "I think I know how they found Susanoo’s domain so fast."
Zeus’s eyes narrowed but he didn’t interrupt.
"I believe someone gave them the coordinates. Someone with access to every divine domain in the cosmos."
There was a pause.
Then Zeus said in grim voice, "The World Masters."
Bael nodded once. "They’ve been around forever. They’ve always served us for our followers from lower worlds of mortal, or so they claimed. But think, Zeus. Who else even has the knowledge to pinpoint domain entrances across so many planes in such short time?"
Zeus’s jaw clenched, his fists trembling with barely restrained power.
"I never trusted them completely," he muttered. "But I didn’t think they were fools enough to turn against us."
"Or maybe they were never truly on anyone’s side," Bael said darkly. "Just waiting for the moment where the scales tilt. And now that the anomalies came, they’re choosing their survival over us."
Zeus didn’t reply immediately. He stared forward, eyes filled with stormlight and dread.
But inside, something had shifted. Suspicion had taken root and suspicion, in a war like this, was a deadly thing.
Then Zeus’s eyes sharpened. A subtle and dark, pulse rippled across the void ahead. It was a sensation like a sliver of ice pushed through the soul. It feels cold and malevolent. He knew this feeling.
His breath caught for a heartbeat.
"They’re really here."
Zeus feels that same presence and familiar danger he had once felt in Gabriel’s domain. The feeling now lingered before them.
Not just him. Bael beside him suddenly frowned as well, his expression hardening. And behind them, even the most hardened warriors — Celestial soldiers and Demon soldiers alike — instinctively gripped their weapons tighter, backs straightening as fear settled in their bones.
They were nearing the domain now. And the closer they came the stronger the feeling became.
The air in the void itself trembled.
Zeus clenched his jaw. "There’s no mistaking it. That cursed power... it’s them!"
The same male and female anomalies who had torn through Gabriel’s domain. They were attacking again but this time, Zeus wasn’t going to be caught unprepared.
For now, he forced himself to set aside the suspicion about the World Masters. That betrayal would could only be dealt with after this battle.
"You feel it, don’t you?" He growled low.
Bael’s burning eyes narrowed. "Yes."
"They’re there. That power is the same I felt when I faced them before."
Bael gave a slow nod. "Then this is the moment."
There was no fear in his voice. Only grim understanding. Like a soldier who hears the distant howl of war drums and knows that the fight has come. He finally going to face the anomalies.
Their pace quickened. The armies followed, both silent now.
After a few more minutes of tense advance through the crumbling veil between realms, the last layer peeled away and they crossed the threshold.
They entered Susanoo’s domain. What they saw struck them shocked them.
The realm of storms was ruined.
Cracked earth stretched for miles. The sky was torn and filled with chaotic magical remnants. They can see bleeding light in unnatural fractures on the ground. Black fire burned in craters where divine temples once stood. Buildings lay shattered.
Nothing was untouched. The power here was not just destructive but cruel.
Zeus’s heart tightened. Bael’s face remained composed like stone but his fists were clenched.
No sign of Susanoo. Only destruction. The followers scattered as if lost and don’t know what they have to do now.
One of the followers shouted at them. "Lord Susanoo is dead!"
