Chapter 461: Visiting World Master

Zeus and Bael emerged from the swirling portal into the vast courtyard of the World Master Bureau. It was a domain that floated above the flow of the rest of the other realms. Its hidden, and used to be neutral - before Clyde arrived and changes things.

Its white towers shimmered beneath a sky of cascading light veils. The ground beneath their feet pulsed faintly with different magic power from the higher beings magic.

Their arrival is shocking.

Dozens of Bureau staffers froze in place. Hushed and frantic murmurs filled the air.

The memories of Clyde’s recent violent intrusion were still clear. Now a Demon King and a Celestial with their armies had appeared unannounced.

Tension crackled in the air. The guards at the gates took cautious steps forward. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

But Bael raised one hand with effortless calm. "We come in peace. No blood will be spilled here."

Zeus didn’t speak. His eyes were narrowed and looked sharp as blades. He wasn’t here to just talk but for answers.

The two left their legion at the edge of the courtyard and entered the central tower. The main white building shaped like a spiraling star.

Inside, the halls were pristine.

They walked with measured steps. Then finally, they arrived before the grand doors of the Bureau Director’s office.

A pair of guards hesitated but opened the doors without resistance.

Inside, the chamber was vast and minimal. Crystalline shelves lined the walls, filled with floating artifacts and glowing scrolls. At the center, behind a desk, sat Morvius the Director of the Bureau. A tall, silver-haired man clad in white suit.

He looked up, not surprised in the least.

"My Lord Bael and Zeus," Morvius said. "I was not expecting you to come."

Bael stepped forward first, his expression stern. "We’ve come for answers."

Morvius stay silent with tense feeling.

Zeus clenched his jaw. "The anomalies moving through the domains like they’re nothing. Crossing borders easily. No being especially not one of his kind should be able to do that."

"You suspect we helped him," Morvius replied with direct tone.

Bael’s red eyes narrowed. "Did you?"

The silence stretched for a beat too long.

Then Morvius rose to his feet, walking around the desk slowly. His steps were calm, yet each one carried a quiet weight.

"We are the guardians of cosmic order. Not partisans in divine wars. The Bureau did not assist Clyde in reaching those domains," he said. "But that does not mean he acted alone."

Zeus’s lightning aura flared slightly. "Then how?! How did he locate Susanoo, Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu’s domain?"

"You assume he’s moving with our help," Morvius replied, eyes fixed on Zeus. "But that anomaly is no longer bound by what we consider normal. Something ancient is guiding him. Feeding him knowledge that predates our System."

Bael glanced toward Zeus, who looked unconvinced.

"You’re saying he’s working with someone else than the Bureau?" Bael asked.

Morvius nodded. "That would be my hypothesis, my lords."

He turned his back to them and walked back to sit behind his desk while swallowing a mouthful of saliva and feeling his heart beating fast.

He can only hope that the two higher beings don’t notice his lies.

"You’ve seen the damage he’s capable of, so finding the coordinate of the other domains is not impossible feat. If you want to stop him or understand him, then you’ll have to look beyond the normal cosmos," Morvius said calmly.

Zeus was silent, fuming quietly.

Bael crossed his arms. "Then where you say do we begin?"

Morvius let out a slow breath, his expression composed. Then he leaned forward slightly with hands folded neatly on the desk.

"He came from the mortal worlds. The lower realm. So you can start there," he said smoothly. "If you want, we will help you with that."

Bael’s eyes narrowed. "You’re offering us assistance now?"

"We are neutral," Morvius answered without flinching. "The Bureau exists to maintain the structure of the realms. If an anomaly as dangerous as Clyde originates from the lower realms, it is in our interest as much as yours to investigate and understand the threat."

Zeus studied him carefully. His eyes glowing with restrained judgment. Bael looks more composed and he simply nodded once.

Morvius’s heart pounded in his chest.

He remembered clearly the moment Clyde stood in this office, his presence is suffocating. He spoke his demands with calm attitude.

The choice had been simple. He need to be compliance or annihilation.

Morvius had seen the look in Clyde’s eyes and felt the pressure of that outer presence behind him. ehich definitely the source of his power but he didn’t know for certain.

And now, as the tension of Zeus and Bael’s questions began to simmer down, Morvius knew he had made the right decision.

Susanoo, Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu are all dead.

The implication of Zeus’s tone said more than words. Clyde had done it. That much was clear. The higher beings were being wiped out one by one.

Morvius forced his breath to slow.

He had to act. He had to survive. And for the Bureau and himself to survive, they had to bend when needed.

"We can open the Bureau’s vault records of the mortal realms," he continued, voice measured. "Coordinate scans, anchor point fluctuations, domain interactions and other things. You’ll have access to everything we have."

Zeus folded his arms. "And you’ll do this without interference?"

Morvius nodded. "Of course. We only want the balance preserved."

Bael remained silent for a moment, then gave a slow nod.

"Very well. But if I find out you’ve been withholding anything—"

"You won’t," Morvius interrupted, polite but firm. "I have no reason to protect an anomaly like him."

A blatant lie. One that made the inside of his mouth go dry.

But Zeus didn’t press further. Neither did Bael.

And that was all Morvius needed.

He rose from his seat and gestured to one of the side doors.

"If you would allow my staff, they will guide you to the archives. I’ll have all relevant data prepared for you."

Bael and Zeus exchanged a brief glance.

Then they turned and followed the staffer into the hall without another word.

As the door closed behind them, Morvius let out a sharp exhale and slowly sat back down.

The room felt colder. The pressure of speaking to the two higher beings had faded, but in its place was huge anxiety.
