Entertainment: From Street Interviews to Global Stardom-Chapter 41 - The Restless Primordial Force!
Chapter 41: The Restless Primordial Force!
“Director, the Kunqu opera performer isn’t coming. What should we do about Li Xin later?” Yang Fan not only didn’t leave but instead stepped forward to ask.
The director furrowed his brows fiercely: “Who do you report to? How can you be so unaware of the rules?”
Yang Fan smiled faintly, innocently pulling out his radio station work badge from his pocket, saying, “Director, you might not recognize me, but you should have heard of me.”
“Hello, let me introduce myself. I’m Yang Fan, the host of the Yang Fan Talk Show on Mango Life Radio.”
“This is my work badge, please take a look.” Yang Fan explained his identity with a smile, handing over his work badge.
The director was momentarily stunned, repeatedly checking the photo on the badge to confirm that the person before him was indeed Yang Fan.
He then spoke with a mix of politeness and displeasure: “Your radio station is getting more and more unruly. How dare you sneak into Happy Camp?”
Yang Fan shrugged helplessly: “What can I do? We just follow orders from above. We’re all just working for someone else.”
The director gave Yang Fan a look of understanding and said, “I’ll let it slide this time, pretending I never saw you. You should head back; we don’t typically involve radio staff in TV station matters.”
Although both the TV station and the radio station belong to the Mango network, the TV station, accustomed to being the big brother in the entertainment industry, hardly regards the radio station as a worthy sibling.
Especially since this is the flagship variety show Happy Camp of the TV station. Many staff members working on Happy Camp inherently carry a sense of superiority.
Not to mention Yang Fan being just a radio host; even if someone from another TV station’s top variety show came, these staff members would have ignored them too!
Yang Fan found it both amusing and frustrating: “Director, I think you’ve misunderstood. I told you who I am not to have you kick me out.”
The director was slightly taken aback, frowning as he said, “What, do you want me to invite you to stay for a meal?”
Yang Fan raised an eyebrow, smiling as he replied, “Although I don’t want to eat, I think you’ll insist on keeping me for a meal!”
Director: “…”
Costume designer: “…”
Where did this idiot come from? Isn’t his self-perception a bit too inflated?
Yang Fan, seeing their utterly speechless expressions, sighed deeply. Without another word, he started singing:
♪ “On a warm day, the swallows sing brightly, people’s hearts are merry with the breeze. Just now, a jade-like maiden smiled at me, but why, as I thought to approach, did she vanish?” Yang Fan casually hummed a verse from ‘The Peony Pavilion: A Dream Interrupted.’”♪
Then, with his hands behind his back, he slowly walked away, shaking his head with every few steps.
The director and the costume designer’s eyes widened. This, this, this is from The Peony Pavilion: A Dream Interrupted!
Oh my god, this Yang Fan knows Kunqu opera, he knows Kunqu opera!
And he sings it quite well too!!!
Wow, wow, wow!!!
“Hey hey hey, Mr. Yang Fan, wait, Mr. Yang Fan, wait!” The director was so delighted that his smile almost reached the back of his head.
He had been worrying about where to find another Kunqu opera performer, and now, someone had just delivered themselves to his doorstep.
If he didn’t seize this opportunity, he would be an idiot!
“Mr. Yang Fan, Mr. Yang Fan, don’t rush off. How about we chat a bit more?” The director asked with eager anticipation.
Yang Fan sighed deeply, “No, you’re busy here at the TV station, and I’m not idle either. I should head back; I have a lot of scripts to write. No need to see me off, we’re all busy.”
The director wore an awkward smile, seething inside but not daring to show it on his face.
This Yang Fan clearly wanted to stay but was deliberately giving him a hard time.
Bastard!!!
The director quickly signaled the costume designer with his eyes.
The costume designer approached with a beaming smile, “Mr. Yang Fan, don’t take the director’s words to heart. Whenever he’s faced with a problem, his brain just shorts out.”
“Mr. Yang Fan, we’re all family. Someone as kind as you surely wouldn’t abandon your own family, right?” Just moments ago, he had firmly stated that the TV station was the TV station, and the radio station was the radio station, and that they didn’t need radio people here.
But in just a few breaths, everything had changed dramatically!
Yang Fan didn’t know if the director’s face was hurting, but he did notice that the director’s face was a bit red!
However, for the sake of the bigger picture, even though the director knew Yang Fan was deliberately mocking him, he had to pretend he didn’t notice and quickly try to appease him.
After all, this was the TV station’s issue. If the radio station really chose to stand by, no one would blame Yang Fan.
But if this matter wasn’t handled well, the higher-ups would definitely blame him, the director.
It wasn’t easy for him to reach the position of the director of Happy Camp. There were many people waiting for him to slip up so they could push him out.
So, unless absolutely necessary, he wouldn’t risk his position as director.
Was it just about flattering Yang Fan and making him comfortable?
He could do it, he could do it!
“Mr. Yang Fan, I know a bit about face reading. Your face is very auspicious.”
“Your face indicates great wealth and fortune. In the future, you will have a harmonious family and many descendants!”

“Promotions and raises will come easily.”
“Moreover, look at how handsome Mr. Yang Fan is. His demeanor clearly shows he’s no ordinary person.”
“Not only is he handsome, but he also acts and hosts his show with great ratings. Now he’s even secured the prime time slot. His future is limitless.”
“I’m so honored to have you. Could you give me an autograph?” The director eagerly pulled out a piece of paper and a pen, respectfully presenting them to Yang Fan.
Yang Fan looked at the director with a strange expression. This person really knew how to bend with the wind!
He quickly signed his name on the paper, teasingly saying, “Remember to frame it when you get home!”
The director’s mouth twitched. How much he wanted to tear up the autograph right now!
But he couldn’t!
Not only he couldn’t, but he also had to cheerfully say to Yang Fan, “Mr. Yang Fan, how is it that we get along so well? I was just thinking that this autograph must be framed and hung on the wall at home.”
“Before I could even say it, you mentioned it first.”
“Mr. Yang Fan, we really are fated.” The director repeatedly said things he didn’t mean, almost making himself sick.
He felt that if Yang Fan didn’t agree soon, he wouldn’t be able to control his inner rage.
