Eternal Emperor's Path to Ascension-Chapter 275: Immortal Ascension Realm, Outer Atmosphere
His Spiritual Energy surged like a colossal wave from the sea as his life essence began to upgrade, his nascent soul underwent some changes, Dao runes and Dharma laws began to emerge on it, mainly the Daos that Tian Yongheng had already started comprehending such as the Dao of Reality and Sword Dao.
This was the Immortal Ascension Realm sublimation. Normally, one had to undergo the Lightning Tribulation Trial to attain this realm, but with the Dao Field isolating the Heavenly Dao's perception, there was no need for him to do so.
The Lightning Tribulation Trials were mainly tests to see if the cultivator was truly strong or just had the realm with no real strength to back it up, which is why each Lightning Tribulation was set with power stronger than the cultivator's realm but weaker than the next realm, in the case of the Immortal Ascension Lightning Tribulation Trial, it would be above the Ninth Stage of Tribulation Transcendence Realm but below the Immortal Ascension Realm.
Each Lightning Tribulation was equivalent to a casual attack from a being who was half a step into the Immortal Ascension Realm. This power only increased if the cultivator had too much negative karma weighing down on him or if others interfered with the tribulation, along with some other rare cases.
This Lightning Tribulation Trial wasn't necessary, but was deemed so because of the Heavenly Dao. It was only genuinely helpful to Body Cultivators and such, who could refine their physical bodies with the power of the lightning or those who wanted to comprehend the Daos of Lightning and Thunder etc.
Of course, Tian Yongheng just didn't want to undergo the Lightning Tribulation Trial.
At first, he was just scared of it, and even now, he was afraid that if something tampered with the Lightning Tribulation and its power exceeded even Half Immortals, there would be no way out for him.
Mostly, he felt that since it wasn't truly necessary and the Dao Field could completely block it, there was no need to face this so called trial head on. That would be courting death.
It would save the unnecessary troubles and the aftermath of the tribulation.
At this moment, Tian Yongheng's Divine Sense covered a range of tens of thousands of miles, it could probably reach a hundred thousand miles after he broke through to the peak of Immortal Ascension Realm.
He felt endless power surging through him, the might to destroy entire universes with just physical strength alone converged within him. His healing abilities had come extremely far as well, and he could heal severed limbs or damaged organs within minutes, if not seconds. That was if something could actually injure him right now in the mortal world.
Under the Immortal Gods, I'm invincible now.
This thought finally emerged as he felt his enormous power.
Tian Yongheng looked up, his eyes seeing through the layers of the world above and piercing the skies. In an instant, his body disappeared and appeared countless miles above the Eternal Peak.
The barrier above the Second Great Mortal World which previously couldn't be broken even with Tribulation Transcendence Realm cultivation base and Half Immortal prowess was almost nonexistent this time.
When he finally arrived at the layer that separated outer space and inner atmosphere of the mortal world, although he couldn't comprehend it, he could still sense this spiritual barrier that didn't allow beings below the Immortal Ascension Realm, no matter their true strength, to go past this layer.
It was a natural restriction of the heavenly rules, perhaps the Heavenly Dao itself.
As a Immortal Ascension Realm cultivator, he had numerous insights of the heavenly rules now. The heavenly rules, natural elements, and worldly laws were a form of authority created and governed by the Heavenly Dao, an infinite consciousness that spanned across everything, even the 33 Heavens and the Upper Realm.
The Heavenly Dao was impartial, treating all beings as dogs, yet perhaps it's Providence was not so impartial as it often chose to bless beings across heaven and earth. Those were the Chosen Ones. But Chosen Ones blessed by the Providence of the Heavenly Dao were only one of their many kinds, there were others too who were influenced by their past life's Providence like Zhu Dong or those who were secretly guided by higher beings, which could range from Nascent Soul cultivators to even Immortal Gods.
But the heavenly rules, nonetheless, couldn't be bypassed with ordinary means and without meeting the requirements to bypass them, such as reaching the Immortal Ascension Realm. This was Tian Yongheng's current understanding of the mortal world.
He slowly extended his hand outwards, trying to grasp these invisible heavenly rules and higher powers, yet he couldn't touch them. His existence, the cultivation realm, was too low right now to even come into contact with such things.
Shaking his head, he moved upward, surpassing the boundaries of the mortal world as he moved unhindered in the vast expanse of outer space.
His eyes seemed to widen as he took in the magnificent view. Stars, both smaller than the mortal world and far bigger than anything he could comprehend floating in the distant void. Nebulae, distant planets, star systems, and entire galaxies unfolded before his eyes like a celestial painting.
"So this...is the outer space of the Lower Realm..."
He was mesmerized for a while before breaking out of his reverie.
"However...there doesn't seem to be any difference between the outer space of the Lower Realm and the outer space in earth's universe?"
It was then that Tian Yongheng realized that something was wrong.
He looked back at the Second Great Mortal World and his eyes showed a trace of shock.
He couldn't see any other of the Great Mortal Worlds, only the Second Great Mortal World was in sight. The sun that the Second Great Mortal World was revolving around was extremely huge, countless times bigger than the Second Great Mortal World.
The heatwaves emanating from it were terrifying, enough to reduce even Tribulation Transcendence cultivators to ashes if they dared to leave the range of the mortal world facing the sun. Of course, the premise was that they could leave the Mortal World first.
But even Tian Yongheng could feel that even normal Immortal Ascension Realm cultivators couldn't bear the extreme temperature near the surface of this sun. Only Half Immortals could approach it safely, and even they had to be careful on its surface.
One had to know that a Immortal Ascension Realm cultivator, if placed in the Myriad Worlds, could even survive a big bang level event completely unscathed. The creation or destruction of universes in the Myriad Worlds could not affect them in the slightest.
Even if cultivators were greatly restrained in the Lower Realm, Immortal Ascension cultivators could still very easily resist high temperatures reaching millions of degrees.
Even as a Immortal Ascension Realm cultivator who was very well above the level of Perfected Half Immortals, Tian Yongheng still felt a sense of crisis from the sun and didn't want to check it out for the time being.
It was unknown whether this sense of crisis came from the sun itself or something, perhaps someone, hidden on it.
He turned his gaze towards the moon. The moon was smaller than the Second Great Mortal World, orbiting around the mortal world.
A ripple of shock appeared in his tranquil eyes as he observed the moon up close.
There actually seemed to be...structures on it?
Could it be the residential area of high level cultivators from the Mortal World?
He didn't dare get too close, fearing that there was some ancient terrifying formation of some sort or an old monster watching over the moon.
Aside from these 3, there was no other star or planet visible within many light years.
Looking around, Tian Yongheng could faintly see that this was indeed like the outer space from his past life on earth, but the celestial bodies here were far bigger.
There were countless small dots in the vast expanse of the universe, and Tian Yongheng determined them to be worlds, although they were definitely not the other Great Mortal Worlds. The Spirit Qi, life essence, and even Providence on those worlds appeared to be far inferior to the Second Great Mortal World, likely small worlds created naturally.
Are the Nine Great Mortal Worlds actually located so far apart?
This thought appeared in his mind.
He didn't want to go too far from the mortal world right now, so he looked in the direction of the mortal world and prepared to go back.
However, at that very moment, space squeezed besides him as the void churned, rippling open within seconds.
A figure cloaked in divine light stepped out of the void and looked towards the Second Geeat Mortal World. Then, he turned his gaze to Tian Yongheng who was standing by his side.
"I can't see through fellow daoist's cultivation base. Are you a Half Immortal as well?"
The figure, wearing a pure white robe with a serene expression on his face asked calmly.
Tian Yongheng gave him a side long glance, already focused on the identity of the person besides him.
