Chapter 431: Chapter 421: Coming Out of the Snowy Mountains

"Forget it, don’t clash with him for now,"

"Indeed, he and the Innate Body Cultivator could rule here, but, as long as we merge with the other few groups, let’s not even speak of a Peak Warrior, even a War General wouldn’t be a problem!"

"A Heaven Talented from my family has already stepped into the realm of the War King, and just by obtaining enough opportunities here, it’s possible to become a Peak War King within a year, then suppressing a Peak Warrior or even a War General would be as easy as flipping one’s hand."

"Hmph, let him be proud for a moment.

Everyone whispered among themselves but ultimately did not make a move because even if they joined forces right now, they were unlikely to be opponents for Chu Hao and the Body Cultivation girl, and it would be too costly to use their trump cards at this moment.

—A Heavenly Level Martial Art obtained now would just be for show since it couldn’t even be cultivated.

"Let’s go!"

The group dispersed, with Zhou Xiaoyun, who had always been all smiles towards Chu Hao, not even bidding him farewell. A single Heavenly Level Martial Technique could turn friends against each other, let alone strangers.

"Tsk tsk tsk, aren’t you a bit disappointed nothing happened with her?" Gu Qingcheng teased as she approached.

Chu Hao, of course, didn’t care about Zhou Xiaoyun. He glared at Gu Qingcheng and said, "You better not play with fire, or I won’t mind getting involved with you!"

"Rogue!" Gu Qingcheng retorted, biting her lip, her charming eyes transferring an alluring look.

"Let’s go as well," Chu Hao gestured to the Barbaric Girl.

"Yes, yes, it’s so boring here; you can’t even see the sky, and it’s so cramped," the girl complained.

She came from the Barbaric Great Mountains and loved the vast and boundless lands.

However, there was another passage for exiting that went straight through this circular area, equivalent to a radius. Surprisingly, the exit was one of the enclosed rooms, the door of which could be opened from inside but not from the outside, leaving even the violent Barbaric Girl unable to push it open.

Once they left this building, they would be back in the snowy mountain region in just a few steps.

They continued towards the direction of the green light column, while Chu Hao took out the Heavenly Level Sword Manual, flipping through it as they walked.

He couldn’t understand it; or rather, he could read the words but couldn’t comprehend their meaning.

This involved the use of the Divine Soul, mentioning "Killing Intent" sporadically, which Chu Hao couldn’t make heads or tails of.

War Venerates start cultivating Divine Sense, then speak of the Intent Realm.

As expected, a Heavenly Level Martial Art could only be started by a War Venerate; otherwise, obtaining it was a waste. It was like giving a swordsmanship manual to someone without arms; could such a person cultivate it?

Chu Hao sighed, tucked the Sword Manual away, and decided he would only look at it again after breaking through to War Venerate.

"Do you think there might be some millennium snow lotuses or ten-thousand-year Ice Ganoderma here?" As a foodie, the Barbaric Girl never lacked imagination concerning such topics.

Chu Hao looked around the vast snowy mountains and said, "With such a large area, even if such things exist, you might not be able to find them."

"Don’t underestimate the determination and perseverance of a foodie!" The girl clenched her fists, looking resolute.

"...I really don’t know if I should praise this kind of determination and perseverance," Chu Hao sighed.

"Of course, I’m still young, and I need regular praise to maintain a healthy spirit," the girl giggled.

"Indeed very small, you’ve eaten so much meat and still haven’t grown," Gu Qingcheng teased the girl about a certain thing.

The girl immediately covered her chest with her hands and angrily retorted, "Vixen, are you asking for a fight?"

"Be honest, your chest is very small, isn’t that a fact? If it’s a fact, what’s wrong in stating it?" Gu Qingcheng said in rapid succession, not giving the girl time to think.

The girl was befuddled, feeling there was some logic to what Demoness Gu said, but something wasn’t quite right.

"Flat as a board," Gu Qingcheng triumphantly giggled.

Only then did the girl realize she had been duped again and began to cry out, gearing up to punch the vixen.

"Stop always bullying Yun Cai!" Chu Hao pulled Gu Qingcheng behind him, knowing well that if they really started fighting, ten Demoness Gus wouldn’t be enough for the Barbaric Girl to beat up.

"Hmm!" Gu Qingcheng flirtatiously blinked at Chu Hao, sending him electrifying looks.

This woman was beyond saving, acting coquettishly as if she couldn’t live without it every day.

"Let’s go," Fu Xue laughed. Watching Gu Qingcheng and the Barbaric Girl verbally spar every day was actually quite entertaining.

Fat Cat yawned and lay comfortably on the girl’s shoulder.

The four continued on their way, for Chu Hao and the Barbaric Girl were favored by the local Qi Luck, allowing them to stumble upon good things as they walked. For instance, after walking for half the day, the girl spotted a snow leopard and insisted on catching it to use as a mount. When they trailed it to its lair, they unexpectedly found a snow lotus growing nearby.

However, the lotus was only several decades old and was not highly valued for medicinal purposes, yet the Barbaric Girl still plucked it to make soup.

They had made progress along their journey, gathering Ice Ganoderma and Snow Lotus in large quantities, but none were particularly old or valuable.

Three days later.

With a long cry that made the entire snowy mountain shudder, an immense creature streaked across the sky. It was silvery-white with wings and four legs, and its long tail was as lengthy as its body.

The creature’s presence was so potent that Chu Hao and his three companions felt their bodies go weak, barely resisting the urge to kneel.

Whoosh—the beast’s speed was astounding, disappearing into the distance with a single flap of its wings.

"What was that thing?" Chu Hao couldn’t help but ask Fat Cat, having only seen a glimpse of the creature that resembled a crocodile but with huge fleshy wings, making it hard to identify.

"White Spirit Winged Crocodile," Fat Cat said, watching where the vast creature had vanished. "According to legends, the offspring of birds and crocodiles, capable of flying in the sky and swimming in the ocean, with immense combat power."

"Birds and fish having offspring, that must be true love," Chu Hao joked.

"The limit of a White Spirit Winged Crocodile is the War God, but this one, though not of pure blood, has still reached the Peak of War King—it’s not something to be trifled with," Fat Cat reminded, then hinted, "However, where there’s a White Spirit Winged Crocodile, there might be Patterned Stones around, which are fine items."

"How are they fine?" Gu Qingcheng asked.

"They can aid in Enlightenment," Fat Cat explained.

Hearing this, all four seemed less than excited. They were all prodigies who had yet to face any significant challenges in their cultivation; they really didn’t need Patterned Stones.

Moreover, with a War King level ferocious beast in the area, pursuing it was akin to courting death. It would be best not to take such risks.

"If we have a chance to come back here after a year, we’ll try our hands against this War King level beast," Chu Hao suggested, believing he would at least reach the level of a Peak War General within a year, potentially qualifying him to fight a War King level beast.

"Is its meat tasty?" the Barbaric Girl asked Fat Cat.

"Haven’t you heard the saying that the most delicious creatures are the ones that fly?" Fat Cat countered.

The girl immediately turned to Chu Hao and said, "Then we must come back here!" Her eyes were firmly resolute, showing an unquestionable determination.

Well, the spirit of a food enthusiast was blazing fiercely.

Chu Hao nodded and said, "Okay, once we’re capable of defeating a War King, we’ll return."

The girl then smiled brightly.

They walked another day and finally left the snowy mountains. Because the area was so vast and there had been many people entering, now they seemed to be the only four there, as if only they existed in this world.

Next, there was a desolate plain where the environment was exceptionally dry, and the land was cracked, giving off a feeling of being riddled with holes. Between the snowy mountains and the plain, there was a chasm about three miles wide and unfathomably deep.

This natural obstacle was no challenge for the four, who could simply fly across with their artifacts, and even though the Barbaric Girl couldn’t fly, her explosive power was terrifying enough to allow her to leap the chasm with a running start.

"How can it be so dry here right next to the snowy mountains?" Gu Qingcheng wondered aloud.

"This is a Minor World after all, not bound by the usual rules of nature," Fat Cat explained.

Chu Hao chuckled, "Never mind all that; our target is over there." He pointed at a green column of light in the distance; despite their days of travel, he felt no closer to it.

After walking across the plain for half a day, sparse vegetation finally began defiantly sprouting from the parched ground, unfurling tender stems and leaves that added a rare touch of green.

"Hm?" Chu Hao suddenly paused.

"What’s the matter?" Gu Qingcheng asked.

Chu Hao waved his hand dismissively and turned in a different direction.

The three women exchanged glances and followed, but after a few steps, the Barbaric Girl also hummed, soon followed by Gu Qingcheng and Fu Xue who were startled by a distant noise.

Quickly, a bloody scene unfolded before them.

A hungry wolf was fighting with a young boy. The wolf wasn’t a ferocious beast, and the boy wasn’t a Martial Artist, a scene that would normally go unnoticed by War Generals and Fighters.

But because both were ordinary, their deadly struggle became even more perilous. Both drenched in blood, it was a brutally savage fight.

The hungry wolf was atop the boy, biting at his neck, and the boy wildly thrashed his upper body to evade the wolf’s bites while fighting back, attempting to sink his teeth into the wolf as well.

Chu Hao approached, grabbed the wolf with one hand, and easily tossed it away—the hungry wolf disappearing into the distance.

The boy was stunned momentarily, then irate, he yelled at Chu Hao, "That was half a month’s food for me and my sister!" Seemingly not satisfied with just shouting, he lunged at Chu Hao.

Chu Hao stepped aside, and the boy missed his target. He said with a laugh, "You’re welcome—I’ll take that as your thanks for saving your life just now."

"Thanks for nothing, pay me for my food!" the boy roared, his eyes red as he charged at Chu Hao.
